Call upon her for works of: Beauty, Love, Business and Financial Success, Change/Adaptability, and Protection – particularly in guarding Secrets, self and home. While she, too, Knows All (much like The Witch of Endor) her secrets cannot be bought – only earned, and even then, only to an extent. Her business relies on her ability to Observe and remain Silent – as such, she might also take the roll of therapist: all you need to do is ask.

The Coin of Favor

To garner the favor of Rahab, enter an establishment in which she would reign: bar, hotel, bordello, even a gas station – simply a place in which a wayward traveler might get some peace. Buy something, anything will do, but pay in cash. From the change you’ll inevitably receive, locate a copper (toned) coin, such as a penny. Light (1) red candle, and hold the penny in your left hand – then read the above prayer, tacking on:

“I ask of you –

Lady Rahab,

To lend me thus:

Your favor,

Protect me in my –

Travels;

Lead me hence –

Through Darkness;

And bestow on me:

Your radiance –

Beauty –

And Charm;”

Sculpt an oval out of clay, engrave or paint the following symbol on its face and drive through the amulet an iron nail downward from the top of the amulet to the bottom – not disrupting its face. Fire/dry/bake. Tie a cord around the nail head and wear it – when any yells or makes you uncomfortable, tap its face three times to lay a hex on their head.

This is a simple chant I wrote to quickly banish an unwanted person from my life. When chanting, try to focus as much repelling energy into your words as possible.

Door Bar Boundary

The last few years, I have, admittedly, become more and more reclusive. I want to say that my patience for the stupidity of other humans is greatly at fault, but I’m sure it’s not the only reason. Regardless, being the hermit I am, my home is a place that must serve as a retreat and safe-house from the world at large. While many wards, charms, sigils and the like are meant to keep people and entities out, I haven’t found many that employ the addition that I do: to keep negativity In general out.

I’ve had days where I’ll feel sluggish and downright crotchety and then, upon crossing the threshold into my house, feel instantly better. No doubt a result of my spelled door – one intended to keep all things negative from entering, including the negativity saddled onto the spirit or the psyche. In a sense, it’s almost a form of healing!

To create this barrier, I use seals in conjunction with brick dust, cascarilla and my own Door-Bar Oil (which should hopefully be made available in my shop soon!). I recommend something that at least incorporates barberry – which is the main ingredient in my own formula.

As for the seals, I use the above, drawn in chalk on the inside of the doorframe.

Grounding the Nexus

Copper Seal, Duke Gusion- According to The Lesser Key of Solomon: The Eleventh Spirit in order is a great and strong Duke, called Gusion. He appeareth like a Xenopilus. He telleth all things, Past, Present, and to Come, and showeth the meaning and resolution of all questions thou mayest ask. He conciliateth and reconcileth friendships, and giveth Honour and Dignityunto any. He ruleth over 40 Legions of Spirits.His Seal is this, the which wear thou as aforesaid.

Gusion is said to be a blunt and honest speaker and would be a master of public relations.

Ancient texts describe his appearence as a baboon, but modern day people who have summoned Gusion describe him as a blue-ish, bright creature with narrow eyes and mouth. In ancient texts some of this description comes up- being called “Xenophilus”- Xeno a root word for ‘alien’.

As a Duke, he is said to be bound from Sunrise till Noonday in Clear Weather.
