”..They get out of hand sometimes.” Great, now you’re making him look bad in front of a foreign princess. Good job Ja’far.. he’s cutting your pay for this.

"Oh is that the case hmm?" Of course, she has heard of many of the generals now and before being just as rowdy, but they were mostly drunker than her own dear father.

Well, that was certainly different. She would not expect to be escorted by him of all people. The young woman that aided her would have also been a choice he could have made… But there was some gallantry involved when the lord of the manor would bless her with their presence for longer. How utterly charming, and foolish all the same.

No matter, Luban would simply follow.

Her smile came on her face, as she walked with him. It would be to her benefit to know of this place he called home. His kingdom, if she were to think as such. She was quiet, observing the area around her for the sheer benefit of traversing this place.

Ja’far was quite the chef so he wouldn’t say anything against it. “Although it is quite interesting, that you mention fish cuisines, if you’d perhaps prefer something of that favor, I can have it made in no time.” After all she had stated that she was not interested in their food, but that was because she did not really trust them, he was sure she’d be fine if she watched it being cooked though. 

Sinbad would make sure that she didn’t starve at the very least. It was his duty as a king after all, though after a few moments, he turned his attention back to Luban. “Light tea hm? Are you fond of any desserts?” He questioned turning his attention back to the hall as he led the way to the kitchen, upon arriving he merely waited for her answer, once he got it, he cleared his throat to the chef. “Our guest has a request.” 

"I see... I would have to see to that when I am returned to my home. I believe we can spare a cook to teach your own how to properly serve fish," Luban chided with her smile, ever intrigued by this new landscape. It may be to their benefit in the end, for who would know what a good use this person would be?

To have good favors with others only gives a better hand in a game of power.

"Of course, I would not mind such things, so long as I watch and see it is not tampered with. A lady can't help but be cautious in a new place," the lady focused on the hall before her as Sinbad spoke more of her likes, "There are some, but I hardly think you have the resources to make it."

"Is that the case? Not that many foreigners understand not to enter a lady’s chamber it seems. A safe assumption, is it not?" Luban returned the lie in kind, but unlike the Sima, her venom was secretly concealed in such, disgusting sweetness.

Her sleeve rose in a hidden mockery, concealing the widening grin, all the while mulling over his drenched words. The attacks are often, this was no less but an ignorant denial.

"Oh no, you give me such flattery of my own complexion. A pity the age-old statement applies here, I am older than I look. Much like yourself, If I were to state my claim."

"On the contrary, I am not older than I look, I’m hardly interested in your appearance, it’s just your childish behaviour, brat" The marquis’ mismatched eyes narrowed sharply. "What kind of a woman requests a man she does not know to accompany her?" He mused, mocking an innocent pout, though it did not last long.

"Does your venom ever dry out my Lord?" she joked with a laugh, coy as it was.

This was just brimming with amusement to the chiding lady, not at all affected by his demeanor nor his poisonous words. If she had cared as a normal woman, oh how they weeps and snap. But her? Oh... Princess Quan has many other ideas to sew those damned lips shut.

            Such powerful magoi…and such strange it is, almost—

This feeling felt very familiar but was that even possible? The black-haired female turned around as her grey eyes widened. She was looking to someone that looked like her— almost like she looked in a mirror. The woman studied every feature on the other face’s but everything looked the same, not only that but their hair style and hair color was exact the same. This person…could it be..her doppelganger..?

If that was truth, then things could turn to a hole other side. But the surprise look on her face quickly fainted as it appeared. Her carmine lips curled into a soft smile. Oh, this was interesting, very interesting indeed. 

”My, my, and who might this lovely be?”

A pity and a blessing that they weren't one and the same, or so Dahu would perceive as such, her lips taunt in that gaily smirk at the probable imposter. The lady could only wonder what things could happen upon this meeting, nor what risks could come from this fate.

Then again, fate dictated she would be a woman in her family, a gender without the promise of power. To only be wedded off and breed more children. Oh, she has her children, that was done. But the very lick of the forbidden power was enough to draw her into politics. An imperial princess to a kingdom of tigers... What an opportunity is that?

—-With a heavy sigh, he raised his hand to massage his forehead. He was not looking forward to coming home at all, but, there was no other choice; that is, if he were to fulfill the mission that his deceased brothers had given him.

It wasn’t for another couple of minutes that he finally decided to just go back to his cabin and turn in for the night as his thoughts were starting to get a bit dark once again. Hopefully, sleep would be kind to him. 

—-But, not too long after, he was awoken when he heard a lot of people scream and panic. 

Curious as to what was happening, he got his spear and immediately went outside to see what was happening—- only to find out that the ship that he was one was, once again, being raided by pirates who, also, had magical tools with them. Oh joy. Having been reminded of what happened back at Madaura’s hideout had irked him and, soon enough, he decided to fight them using the newly-found power that he had acquired. 

And, even though he’d won, it seems that he had underestimated them as he found himself completely drenched out of magoi. Not too long after, he transformed back into his normal self; losing his consciousness as he fell into the ocean .

It wasn’t until a few hours had past that he finally regained his consciousness. Slowly, he started to open his eyes and, least to say, he was very confused as to why he was lying down on a luxurious bed—- but, it was when he heard a kind and gentle voice speak out to him that he realized that he must have been saved. Turning his head slightly to meet the owner of the voice, he couldn’t help but to pale at the sight of his mother.

A kitten thinking he is a mighty tiger, hmm? Her musing trilled in her mind, but dared not leave those lips of hers.

"Well, I can assure you that you are not any of my children," Luban uttered, her hand hovered to see if he was radiating heat, "I think I may need to get a doctor in here if you are being delusional..."

The green-eyed prince turned his head slowly, his gaze resting upon the woman in the doorway. There was no sign of ill-will nor malice upon his features, just the stony, unfeeling expression he gave to all those who journeyed too close. 

But her?

Her peaceful stroll was with silence, no one had bothered the lady princess in recent days. Her option to pause at the doorstep was just to kneel to the stray kitten that would be bathing in the sun's light. A content play danced upon her precious, crimson tipped lips.

"Good morning, Great Aunt Luban."

Someone would come and speak with the lady? What an pleasant surprise, as the kitten would mewl and rub around her own hand. The stormy, sea green hues looked over her vermillion draped shoulders upon the one that would speak such words to the princess herself.

His head bobbed slightly when his aunt placed a hand on his head, much like a kitten when being petted. “Thewe too many… but they wook so pwetty…” 

She allowed her ministration to fully grace the temples of Jun-Jun, petting him just like her dear cats. It was a simple gesture, but the smile grew further at his compliment.
