Something has always bothered me.
And since yesterday was the anniversary of D-Day I figured I'd find out. If you're a fan of The X-Men Marvel movies and of the character Wolverine, I need a question answered. In the movie "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" as the title sequence rolls we're shown clips of the wars that both Wolverine and his half brother Victor Creed have fought. There's one clip of them in a Higgin's Boat approaching the Normandy Beaches on D-Day wearing the uniform of The US Army. Then in the movie "The Wolverine" the opening sequence finds Logan in a Japanese Prison Camp outside of Nagasaki a little over a year later just as the A-Bomb is dropped. Now, while there were a few US Army units that were sent to the Pacific Theater of War after Germany surrendered on May 9, 1945, I'm wondering, if Logan were in one of them how could he have been transferred to the Pacific and get captured in the span of three months only to end up outside of Nagasaki on August 9, 1945. How, exactly, did that happen? For that matter, how could a killing machine like Logan, who can't be killed and regenerates, heals immediately after he's injured allow himself to get captured in the first place? I can suspend my disbelief enough to watch the movies but some things need to be answered or clarified. If someone could tell me that would be great.
