"Meeting Tim Curry offstage, you're prepared for anything. Just how much of this stage flamboyance reaches into his own life, his clothes? He wears quiet, played-down clothes that are almost sombre though they are very much in touch and have some humour too. He wears lots of black – black Take Six jeans and black shoes with everything – and mixes monochrome outfits with things like cartoon printed shirts. He doesn’t have many clothes but, he emphasises, those he has he wears a great deal.

'I seem to wear a uniform for about three months and then change it and really I suppose I buy rather a lot of junk. Much of the stuff I have comes secondhand from flea markets.'

He has just been on a spending spree buying up old school blazers as, in two weeks time, he leaves the British production of the show (Rocky Horror) to play the role in Los Angeles before taking it to Broadway in September. He is going to be recognisably British.

'I don’t see much point in spending a lot on clothes unless they’re well cut.' He says. 'I have always wanted just one thing that was special, cut superbly, and my one extravagance since starting the show is my black velvet Saint Laurent jacket.'

Whenever people hear about Tim Curry’s music career there are usually two reactions: 

- “I’m sorry, his WHAT now!?”

- “I’ve played my copy of ‘Fearless’ every day for 40 years and I have the lyrics to ‘Sloe Gin’ tattooed on the inside of my eyelids!!!!!!“

There’s never usually an in-between and that’s why TC remains one of the most fascinating entertainers of his generation. 

But how did it all begin?

Haaaa. He is an actual asshole. But no, he doesn’t have a temper per se. 

(No, he’s not an actual asshole he’s a sweetheart). 

He’s kind, patient and loyal - but if you piss him off you’re sure to know about it. It’s been said that if he feels someone has ‘wronged’ him he’ll cut them off without another word and never talk to them again - but that sounds bloody sensible if you ask me. 

The one thing we can see is that he’s also a bloody good friend and he has many long-standing relationships (mostly with incredibly smart, strong women - which is wonderful to see). He’s also intelligent as fuck with a moral compass firmly set to ‘good guy’. 

On the whole I try not to post people’s ‘private’ photos from Facebook etc - but this was posted on a public group and we’re currently riding a wave of ‘saved this to my phone lol idk’ - so I wanted to ‘preserve’ the context.

Can track prey for hours without losing focus

Special interest: basket weaving

Always fidgeting - banging rocks together and discovers flint-knabbing

Distracted by berries

Stimming by making noises, discovers the sksksk that lures out squirrels

Can't sleep at night, great at guarding the cave while family sleeps

Sensitive senses means discovering and refusing to eat rotten/poisonous food

Sees bird eat nut - impulsively tries it too and discovers that nuts taste good

Cons of having ADHD:

Can't do homework

Impulse buys

Can't use a calendar
