You Are Coming Down With Me, Hand in Unlovable Hand
Mean Southern Wanda x Reader
Part Three
Here’s Parts One and Two
⚠️TW: Drugs, semi graphic depictions of overdose, general heartache. Also, for the record this is not how you should ever treat an overdose. It was done like this for storytelling purposes.
Wanda’s second absence did not last as long as the first. It was only two days later, 12 hours into a Sunday double shift, when her name and picture popped up on your phone.
Despite being in the middle of a stack of dishes, you dropped everything and immediately picked up. “Hello? Mama?”
“Y/N? I…” she started, sounding beyond exhausted. It wouldn’t surprise you if she hadn’t slept since leaving your house on Friday. She took a strained, shaky breath before finishing. “I need you.”
“O-okay,” you replied, surprised by the blatant vulnerability in her voice. “Where are you? I get off at 9. I could…”
“No… I… I think I need you now,” she admitted quietly. “I’m at your place. I was… I planned on… I was waiting for you to get home but… I’m… I feel so sick… and I’m so tired. And… and I’m afraid that if I fall asleep… I won’t…”
You waited for her to finish, but she never did. It was clear, now, that she was crying, breathing in short, strained pants. “Okay. I’m leaving now. I’ll be home in 5 minutes. Just stay on the phone with me. Please just talk to me. About anything.”
“I…” she struggled, growing wearier by the second. “I’m sorry. I… I shouldn’t have… you don’t deserve…”
“No. None of that. Please,” you stated firmly, running out the back door of the diner and to your car. At any other time, you would’ve given anything to hear those words come out of her mouth. Now, they made your stomach twist with dread. It felt like she was making a deathbed apology.
“Y/N… I….” Her words were starting to slur bad now. Just as you turned the key in the ignition, she started to cough and then you heard the sound of the phone hitting the ground.
“Mama? Mama are you still there?” You asked in vain. It wasn’t hard to put the pieces together; you just desperately wanted to believe it was anything else. Anything was better than imagining you opening your trailer door just to see you were too late.
You made the 5 minute drive in 3 minutes, speeding down back roads and running every red light and stop sign. By the time you pulled into the gravel lot, you felt like your heart was going to beat out of your chest. Breathlessly, you ran to the door, grateful to find it was already unlocked.
Wanda was in the sitting area, slumped to the side. You fell to your knees in front of her, holding your breath as you searched her neck for a pulse. Relief flooded your body when you felt her heart beating under your fingertips. She was alive, even though she didn’t much look like it.
Her skin was pale, almost blue, and clammy. You pulled her eyes open to find her pupils were tiny and unresponsive, swallowed almost entirely by her green irises. Then, you pressed your ear to her purple lips, listening for her breaths. They came in shallow, erratic burst that sounded more like gasps.
“Mama?” You cried, desperately shaking her by the shoulder. “Mama please wake up. Please. You have to wake up.”
She groaned, so quietly you hardly heard it. “Baby,” she whispered, still unable to open her eyes. “You came.”
“Of course I did,” you sniffled. “You called. I love you, mama.”
“I…” she started, but passed out again before she could finish.
With all your strength, you moved her off the cushions and dragged her into the bathroom. For the first time ever, you were grateful for how small your trailer was, as you only had to move her a few feet. She whined weakly as you started to pull off her clothes, managing to get most of them off before pulling her into the bathtub, turning the shower on cold, and crawling in behind her. You wrapped your legs around her on either side, keeping her body propped up against yours with her face shielded from the water.
“Mama,” you cried, burying your face into her shoulder. You held her tight to your chest, feeling each breath come and go. “Please don’t leave me. I… I need you.”
It wasn’t exactly clear at any given moment whether she was conscious or unconscious. Still, if only for your peace of mind, you decided to talk to her. “They’re… um… they’re building some new houses, on that hill across from the river. Remember where that church burned down a few years back? I guess they… finally decided to do something with that land.” Each of your words were interrupted with sniffles and tears, but you kept going. “I was thinking we could maybe… go to one of the open houses together. I think you’d like it there, mama. We could find one with a patio overlooking the river. I could build us one of those wooden swings you like so much: the kind with the cupholders on the sides for your coffee. Would you like that mama? If we could have our own little house. With a yard and maybe a garden. Enough space for the boys to run around. We could even get a dog. Or a cat. Or any kind of animal you want. I know the diner ain’t exactly a high paying job, but I’ve been saving, mama. And I was talking to Steve about maybe doing an apprenticeship at the auto shop over the summer. I’m pretty good at fixing things and I’ve always liked cars. What do you think of that, mama? Do you think I’d make a good mechanic? I could make good money doing it if I…” Tears finally took over as you sobbed into her shoulder. It was so easy to daydream about a life with Wanda. Imagining a life without her, on the other hand, was a thought too painful to bear.
“I think you’d look handsome… in one of those little jumpsuits.”
“Mama?” You choked, still shaking and gasping for air.
“Yeah,” she responded. “Yeah that’s me. I’m your mama.”
“Are you…” you stammered. “Are you okay?”
“No,” she groaned. “But I will be. Just… get me out of this tub and into a warm blanket. And I’m gonna need that trash can again.”
You kicked the faucet, turning off the water and pulling the towel off of the rack. Her skin was cooled off now, and her color was starting to come back, though you still had to help her walk to the bedroom. You hadn’t changed much, since she’d been there on Friday, just tidied up some of the clothes. The trash can and mound of pillows were still in place though, already perfectly adjusted to accommodate her body.
You grabbed her an apple juice and some salad crackers from the kitchen, both clearly snagged from the diner. If she was going to be sick, you thought, she might need some ice to suck on as well. You emptied an ice tray into a cup and refilled it for later.
Wanda was still conscious when you returned to the room. You attempted to get her to eat a little by hand feeding her and bargaining over every tiny cracker.
When you settled onto the floor, just as you had two days earlier, Wanda pouted. “You can sleep on the mattress, you know? I’m not kicking you out of your own bed,” she argued.
“I know. I just… I never want to make you feel taken advantage of, when you wake up sober,” you explained.
Wanda was silent for a minute, then she asked “will you do it if I eat another cracker?”
“Fine,” you conceded, getting up off of the floor and crawling into the bed behind her. You wrapped your arms around her waist and kissed her shoulder blade, pressing your forehead against her spine.
“I… um…” you started awkwardly. “I’m not complaining… because I really love having you here no matter what or how long you stay… but… I would really really like it if you were here tomorrow morning… please.”
Wanda sighed. “I won’t go anywhere,” she said. “But this is gonna be messy. Don’t say I didn’t warn you”

_______________
The morning felt wrong.
Not dramatically wrong. Nothing obvious or catastrophic. The campus looked exactly the same as it always did, students crossing the quad with coffee cups, bikes cutting across the pathways, voices echoing between the brick buildings.
But something under your skin refused to settle.
You hadn’t slept.
Every time you closed your eyes you saw the same things in flashes, Wanda standing in your doorway, breath uneven, eyes bright with something dangerously close to desperation.
You’re ruining me.
The way her hand had hovered beside your face.
The way everything inside you had felt like it was about to collapse into one reckless decision.
And then your phone lighting up.
Maya’s name.
The moment Wanda’s expression had changed.
You groaned softly into your pillow and dragged a hand down your face.
Your phone was still on the nightstand.
No messages.
Not that you had really expected one.
Wanda had made it very clear how good she was at pretending nothing had happened.
Still… some stupid, hopeful part of you had checked three separate times before even getting out of bed.
Nothing.
You forced yourself through your morning routine in a haze, shower, clothes, coffee you barely tasted.
Campus air was colder than you expected when you stepped outside, biting against your cheeks as you crossed the quad toward the humanities building.
Your stomach tightened the closer you got.
You told yourself it was ridiculous.
It was just a class.
Just another lecture.
But the memory of how Wanda had looked last night, completely undone, voice shaking, eyes raw, made the idea of seeing her again feel like walking into something dangerous.
By the time you slipped into the lecture hall, most of the seats were already filled.
You took your usual spot halfway up the rows, setting your bag down slowly as your pulse ticked upward.
She wasn’t there yet.
For a brief moment you wondered if she might cancel class.
The thought barely finished forming before the door near the front opened.
Wanda stepped inside.
Your breath caught.
If someone had asked you to describe her in that moment, you wouldn’t have been able to explain what felt different.
She looked exactly the same.
Dark coat draped neatly over her arm. Hair falling over her shoulders in that effortless way that always made your chest tighten. Her posture straight, controlled, confident as she set her notes on the desk.
Professor Maximoff.
Composed. Untouchable.
Like the woman who had shown up at your door last night didn’t exist.
The room quieted automatically as she turned toward the class.
“Good morning.”
Her voice was steady.
Professional.
You watched her carefully as she began the lecture, writing something across the board in precise strokes.
Not once did she look in your direction.
You told yourself that didn’t matter.
She was teaching.
That’s what she was supposed to be doing.
Still… the longer the lecture went on, the more obvious it became.
Wanda called on students.
Asked questions.
Walked between the rows while explaining a concept.
But her gaze skipped over you every single time.
Like you weren’t there.
Your chest tightened slowly.
It felt deliberate.
At one point she stopped beside the row in front of you while discussing a reading, her voice calm as she responded to a student’s comment.
She was close enough that you could see the faint shadows under her eyes.
You thought she may let her eyes drift to you at least once.
But she didn’t.
Not even by accident.
When she stepped away again, the space she left behind felt colder than it should have.
You tried to focus on the lecture.
You really did.
But your mind kept replaying the same questions over and over.
Did she regret coming to your door?
Did she regret saying those things?
Did she regret you?
By the time class ended, the knot in your chest had twisted itself tight.
Students began packing their bags around you, the familiar rustle of notebooks and chairs scraping against the floor filling the room.
You moved slower than usual, sliding your laptop into your bag while keeping your eyes fixed on the front of the room.
Wanda stood near the desk now, gathering her papers.
For a moment you thought about leaving.
Just walking out like everyone else.
Pretending this didn’t bother you as much as it clearly did.
But the memory of her voice from last night stopped you.
I can barely breathe when you’re in the same room.
You slung your bag over your shoulder and started down the steps.
By the time you reached the front row, most of the students had already filtered out.
Wanda was stacking a few books together when you stopped beside the desk.
“Professor Maximoff.”
The words felt strange in your mouth after everything that had happened.
She looked up.
Just briefly.
And for a split second something flickered across her face, surprise, maybe, or something sharper.
Then it disappeared.
“Yes?”
Professional.
Distant.
Your stomach dropped.
“We need to talk,” you said quietly.
Her gaze shifted past you toward the door where the last few students were leaving.
“I have another class in ten minutes.”
“That’s not what I meant.”
Her jaw tightened slightly.
“I’m sure it can wait.”
You stared at her.
The calm dismissal in her voice felt like a slap.
“No,” you said, your voice lower now. “It really can’t.”
For the first time since the conversation started, Wanda actually looked at you.
Really looked.
And the tension between you snapped tight like a wire.
But instead of saying anything, she simply gathered the last of her papers and slid them into a folder.
“You should go,” she said quietly.
Your hands curled into fists at your sides.
Because suddenly it was very clear.
She wasn’t pretending last night hadn’t happened.
She was actively burying it.
And you weren’t sure which one hurt more.
You watched her.
Waiting.
But she just adjusted the sleeve of her coat and reached for the strap of her bag.
“Professor Maximoff.”
Your voice stopped her again.
She turned slightly this time, just enough that you could see the tension in her jaw.
“Yes?”
The formality felt like a wall being rebuilt brick by brick.
You swallowed.
“I just want to know if you meant what you said.”
Her eyes flickered.
Just briefly.
But she didn’t ask what you meant.
Which meant she knew exactly what you were talking about.
The silence stretched.
Wanda finally exhaled slowly.
“We had a moment of poor judgment,” she said.
Your stomach dropped.
“A moment of-”
“Yes.”
Her voice was steady now.
Measured.
“Emotions were… heightened. That doesn’t mean we should continue entertaining the situation.”
The words felt clinical.
Like she was discussing a scheduling error instead of the fact that she had shown up looking like her entire world had cracked open.
You stared at her.
“You’re serious.”
“I’m realistic.”
“That’s not the same thing.”
Wanda’s gaze hardened slightly.
“From where I’m standing, it is.”
The frustration that had been simmering in your chest all morning started to push higher.
“You said you can’t sleep,” you said quietly. “You said you can barely breathe when I’m around.”
“That was not appropriate.”
You blinked.
“That’s your takeaway?”
“My takeaway,” she said calmly, “is that I allowed myself to say things I shouldn’t have.”
The lecture hall suddenly felt too small.
Too quiet.
“So you didn’t mean any of it.”
Her eyes met yours again.
For a split second, something complicated flickered there.
Then it disappeared behind that same careful composure.
“I meant that it was a mistake to say it out loud.”
The words landed harder than you expected.
Your throat tightened.
“Right.”
Wanda adjusted the strap of her bag again.
“You should get to your next class.”
You let out a quiet laugh.
It wasn’t a happy sound.
“Unbelievable.”
Her brow furrowed slightly.
“What exactly were you expecting?”
“I don’t know,” you admitted. “Maybe a little honesty?”
“You have honesty.”
“No,” you said. “I have you pretending none of this matters.”
Wanda’s jaw tightened again.
But she didn’t respond.
Which somehow felt worse than if she had argued.
You shook your head once and stepped back.
“Forget it.”
You turned toward the door before she could say anything else.
The hallway outside was loud with passing students, the sudden noise jarring after the tension in the lecture hall.
You pushed through the crowd without really seeing anyone, your thoughts spinning too fast.
Because now the conversation from last night felt like something you had imagined.
Like Wanda had simply woken up this morning and decided it had never happened.
Your chest still felt tight when you reached the quad.
You dropped onto the edge of a low stone wall near the path, dragging a hand through your hair.
“Hey.”
You looked up.
Maya was walking toward you with a coffee in one hand and a familiar half-smile on her face.
Your stomach immediately twisted.
Perfect timing.
“Hi,” you said.
She slowed when she reached you, studying your face more carefully than usual.
“You look terrible.”
“Thanks.”
“I mean it in a concerned way,” she added quickly. “Not a judgmental way.”
You huffed a quiet breath.
“Did you sleep at all?”
“Not really.”
Maya nodded like she had expected that answer.
She held out the extra coffee.
“I brought this for you, but now I’m wondering if I should’ve brought something stronger.”
You accepted it anyway.
“Coffee’s fine.”
For a moment neither of you said anything.
Students moved around you across the quad, the normal rhythm of campus life continuing like nothing was wrong.
Maya shifted her weight slightly.
“About last night,” she said carefully.
Your grip tightened on the cup.
“You don’t have to apologize,” you said quickly. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I wasn’t going to apologize.”
You blinked.
She leaned back against the wall beside you.
“I just wanted to check that you’re okay.”
You stared down at the lid of the coffee cup.
“I’m fine.”
Maya didn’t look convinced.
“You left really fast.”
“I had an early morning.”
“That’s not what I meant.”
The quiet patience in her voice made your shoulders tense.
Maya watched you for another few seconds before speaking again.
“You weren’t thinking of me,” she said.
Your head snapped up.
“What?”
She shrugged slightly.
“It’s okay. I’m not offended.”
You opened your mouth to respond but nothing came out.
Because the truth was… she wasn’t wrong.
Maya tilted her head, studying your reaction.
“There’s someone else, isn’t there?”
Your stomach dropped.
You looked away toward the center of the quad.
Students crossed the grass in groups, laughing about something that suddenly felt very far away from whatever was happening in your chest.
“I didn’t say that.”
“You didn’t deny it either.”
You rubbed a hand over the back of your neck.
“It’s complicated.”
Maya snorted softly.
“Yeah. I figured.”
You glanced at her.
“You did?”
“People don’t panic like that over nothing.”
She nudged your shoulder lightly with hers.
“So what’s the story?”
“There isn’t one.”
“That’s not believable.”
You sighed.
“I just… shouldn’t be involved with them.”
Maya’s expression softened slightly.
“Is it an ex?”
“No.”
“Coworker?”
You almost laughed at the irony.
“Something like that.”
She studied you for a moment longer.
“Do they know how you feel?”
Your chest tightened.
“Probably.”
“And?”
You thought about Wanda standing in the lecture hall five minutes ago, calmly calling last night a mistake.
Your mouth twisted slightly.
“And apparently that doesn’t change anything.”
Maya made a quiet sound under her breath.
“That sucks.”
You nodded once.
“Yeah.”
She hesitated, then said gently, “For what it’s worth… whoever they are, they’ve really messed you up.”
You didn’t argue.
Because she wasn’t wrong about that either.
Maya bumped your shoulder again.
“You should probably figure out if they actually want you,” she said. “Before you keep hurting yourself over them.”
You stared down at the coffee in your hands.
If only it were that simple.
“I’m really sorry, by the way…” You began, unable to look Maya in the eyes. “I never meant to lead you on..”
“It’s okay,” Maya gave you a tight smile. “You can’t help how you feel.”
Across the quad, a familiar flash of red caught your eye.
Your head lifted automatically.
Wanda.
She was walking across the path near the faculty building with another professor beside her.
Dalton.
He was saying something that made her turn toward him slightly, her expression unreadable from this distance.
Your stomach twisted.
Maya followed your gaze.
“Do you know them?” she asked.
You forced your eyes away.
“No.”
“Looked like you did.”
You shook your head.
“Just recognized the professor.”
Maya glanced back across the quad again.
“Maximoff, right?”
Your heart skipped.
“Yeah.”
“She teaches one of my electives.”
You tried to keep your expression neutral.
“Is that so?”
Maya nodded.
“She’s kind of intense.”
That was one way to put it.
Your gaze drifted back across the quad before you could stop yourself.
Dalton said something that made Wanda tilt her head slightly, the same small motion you’d seen a hundred times during lectures.
They kept walking together toward the faculty building entrance.
Your chest felt uncomfortably tight.
Maya bumped your shoulder lightly.
“Don’t look so miserable.”
You looked back at her.
“I’m not.”
“You are.”
She took another sip of her coffee.
“Whoever this mystery person is,” she added, “they’d better be worth it.”
You forced a small laugh.
“I’m starting to wonder about that myself.”
You tried to keep busy the next few days. Classes, errands, study sessions, anything to distract yourself. But Wanda was everywhere, in every corner of your mind.
Tuesday afternoon, you were walking out of the lecture hall, bag slung over your shoulder, when you noticed her across the courtyard. She was talking to someone, a student you recognized from your lecture. Jennifer, you thought her name was. Wanda leaned in, laughing softly, her hand brushing the girl’s arm as she gestured. You stopped cold, chest tightening.
No. That wasn’t supposed to feel like a punch to the stomach.
But it did.
Your brain raced. That hand. That smile. That laugh. She had looked at you like that once. And now…
Now she was giving it to someone else.
You couldn’t breathe. Your fingers gripped your bag strap like it could anchor you to reality. The thought twisted your gut: maybe she had… moved on. Maybe this girl had something you didn’t. Maybe Wanda had already replaced you without ever saying a word.
You forced yourself to keep walking, to pretend you weren’t burning from the inside out, but your steps felt heavy, uncertain.
By Thursday, the spiral had become unbearable. You had stayed after the lecture to organize your notes, pretending to review a problem set, but your eyes couldn’t leave her. Wanda had asked Jennifer to stay after for a quick discussion about a project.
You imagined everything. Every touch, every whispered word, every laugh meant for someone else. And your chest tightened with jealousy and desperation you couldn’t contain.
The images in your mind were brutal, unrelenting. You pictured her leaning down, close enough to hear a name whispered, her lips brushing against someone else’s ear. Her hips thrusting against someone else. The thought made your stomach twist, made your hands tremble.
You left the lecture hall in a daze, your steps quick, almost running, your bag swinging wildly at your side. Your room felt like a cage. The air was too thin, the walls too close. You couldn’t stay here. Not another second.
You needed to see her. You needed to know. Needed… something. Anything.
By Friday night, it was unbearable. You paced your room, your hands trembling, your chest tight. Every rational thought had been consumed by her. Every memory of her with you, every laugh shared, every touch, every lingering look, you clung to them desperately, but they weren’t enough.
You picked up your phone, fingers hovering over her contact. You didn’t type a message. You couldn’t. Not words. You needed presence. Needed the truth. Needed to feel her.
And finally, you realized: you couldn’t wait any longer.
The decision was sudden, reckless, necessary. You grabbed your coat and keys, slammed the door behind you, and ran toward your car, mind a jumble of longing, jealousy, and fear. Every step was fueled by weeks of tension, every breath a plea.
When you reached her building, your hands shook violently. Your heart hammered like it would burst through your ribs. You took a deep, shuddering breath.
Then you raised your hand and knocked.
Once. Twice.
Your chest heaved. Your fingers trembled against the wood. Every second stretched into eternity. You could feel every heartbeat, every nerve ending in your body screaming.

(gif not mine, credit to jemilygifs)
JJ was bored. In fact, she had been bored for a long time. So long that she lost count of the years. Maybe that’s why Will asked for a divorce; maybe he knew she was checked out and had little interest in her own personal life. Either way, it’s how she ended up here. Staring at divorce papers on her desk in the office, thinking over what it meant for her life the minute she signed them.
If she was being honest, it didn’t mean as much as she thought it would. It wasn’t like she was in love with him, that went away fast. It wasn’t that there was even any sort of spark yet. She’d been going on a dry spell when it came to sex for a couple years now. The writing was on the wall, they were heading towards an end. JJ was just surprised it was him who asked for it eventually and not her. Although, she had pictured the downfall of her marriage to go out with a bang rather than a small splash in a puddle in the back of her mind.
It didn’t really take much emotional energy at all really, this whole divorce thing. So, why was she delaying the signing of the papers? That answer was waiting right down the hall. From JJ’s office, her window blinds only half closed, she could see the exact reason she was hesitating. You, the bright and perky newer member of the team.
See when JJ pictured her marriage ending, she always thought it would be because of you. Not that you would know at this point in time why you’d be the reason, but the thousands of daydreams JJ had of you would explain it pretty quickly. The two years she refused to have sex with Will was around the time you had joined the team, and that’s what really got the ball rolling on just how much she didn’t care for her husband. If her marriage were to have ended with a bang, JJ would have thought it was because her control slipped. That she would finally give in to the unexplainable magnetism she felt towards you, start a torrid affair, and then inevitably get found out by someone in a way that would blow her life up. She could almost vividly picture the fallout that would’ve happened between her and Will if her marriage would’ve ended like that. The scandal that would’ve been spread through the BAU of her, a seasoned member of the team, cheating on her husband with the new media liaison who was much younger than her. Miraculously, she resisted her urge for you and avoided all that. It was a struggle; one that you had no idea she was going through every single day.
The thing is, you had no idea JJ had an internal battle with herself every second you were near. You were just there, young, wide-eyed, and oblivious. It made her both hate you and want to ruin you all the more. There was something in you that finally woke JJ up after years of doing the same song and dance. Study a case, catch the unsub, go home to her husband and then repeat. There was a time when the chase of the unsub was enough for JJ, but even that got monotonous. Then you joined the team, your eyes filled with hope, and JJ was intrigued. She was curious about how you’d handle this world, how you’d view the gruesome things that went across your own desk. It wasn’t like you were a field agent, you had JJ’s old job of media liaison, but still she knew firsthand that you’d be subject to some harsh stuff. Yet, your light never faded. Honestly, it rivaled Penelope’s perkiness, but with a much more… innocent tone. One that, at first JJ thought annoyed her, but then she realized quickly it was just something she wanted to own. Something she wanted control of so she could use it for her own entertainment and pleasure. Emphasis on the pleasure part.
She spent so many evenings working closely with you, not really paying attention to what you were saying, but rather visualizing the many ways she could squash your innocence by her own hands in the most delicious ways possible. No one knew JJ had this obsession with you. Her marriage was the only thing keeping her from acting on it, and even then she was two seconds away from following through with the affair idea before Will slapped the divorce papers in front of her.
So that’s what brought her here, right now. Her pen in hand, knowing that the second it’s official she may no longer have control the next time you’re near. What was going to stop her when you inevitably came into her office for advice? You’ve done that more times than she could count. You’d always get too close, lean over just right on her desk in a way that made her want to devour you on top of it. Yet, you didn’t even know for a second what you were doing.
JJ looked back down to the papers and with a low sigh, she signed them. She shoved them back into her desk and sat back, her eyes going back to look out her office window into the BAU. In that exact moment, your eyes looked up from where you were chatting with someone else on the team and met hers. You gave her a small smile and she could see all the way from where she sat, the small tint of pink that colored your cheeks when you realized JJ wasn’t breaking her stare. She didn’t smile back, she just gazed, intense and determined. Her eyes darkened, a look you don’t think you’d ever seen on JJ’s face before. You shifted where you stood and JJ didn't even try to stop the twisted thought that echoed through her mind.
If you were already squirming where you stood just from her staring, what was it going to look like when she had you squirming beneath her?
JJ leaned forward on her desk when you finally broke eye contact and turned a corner, moving effectively out of her line of sight. Her hand compulsively clicked and unclicked her pen and all she could think about was next steps.
Yes, nothing was stopping her now from taking what she wanted. She wanted you, and she was going to make sure she had you in the palm of her hands.
Her divorce papers signed and out of her mind, her thoughts were now utterly consumed by all the ways she planned to take you. She just needed to figure out how she was going to begin to accomplish that.
If it were up to JJ, she would’ve had you the second she signed those papers. However, she figured if she just jumped into it, you’d scare easily. The thing is, she wasn’t sure exactly what the opportunity would be to get you in her grasp, but she knew that one would eventually show itself. And show itself it did.
By some stroke of luck, JJ was placed in a hotel room right next to yours. And, while it definitely wasn’t lucky for you or the people involved, this case was particularly brutal. It had you visibly shaken. So, when JJ saw the opportunity to get close to you, to be your knight in shining armor, she took it. Should she feel ashamed that she was using your vulnerability? Maybe, but she justified it by saying it was getting even for all the time you’ve made her want you and had no idea of your effect on her.
“JJ…” your eyes were puffy, no doubt from hours of crying as you tried to convince yourself you could handle what this case was throwing at you. “I… I don’t really want to be in my room alone. I know it’s a lot to ask, but can I stay with you? At least for a couple of hours?”
“Oh,” JJ feigned surprise. “Yeah, of course.” She stepped aside so you could walk into her hotel room, your arms hugging your own chest close. She gave you her most convincing, concerned look, but the minute your back was turned her expression shifted. Her lips pulled into a stern frown and her eyes narrowed as she thought of every possible consequence to the actions she wanted to happen that night. She knew she couldn’t totally act on her desire for you, but this was her chance to get you to lower some of your walls. It was her chance to test just how innocent and oblivious you really were.
“How do you take your mind off something like that?” It was a genuine question and the first time you spoke after sitting at the edge of JJ’s hotel bed for a solid ten minutes in silence. She knew you wouldn’t be able to get those images out of your mind for a while, she had been you once. Now, it didn’t phase her.
JJ sat forward on the arm chair she had dragged over to face you. “It will pass,” JJ paused, answering you seriously, “with some time.”
“Yeah,” you sighed, your eyes glued to the floor. “But I haven’t really slept in days and I face the press tomorrow, so I don’t really have time to let it pass.”
“I’ve been in your position,” JJ admitted.
“And how exactly did you face the press with those images stuck in your head?”
“Well…” JJ feigned hesitation. “It’s not exactly a conventional method.”
“I think I’d try anything at this point.”
“There’s always one sure fire way that used to be my go-to…” she trailed off.
“What’s that? Getting drunk?” You snorted and shook your head. “I thought about that option, but I don’t think it would seem like a good idea the next morning.”
“I don’t recommend that when you have flashing cameras in your face to look forward to in the morning,” JJ deadpanned.
“Then what is it? Just tell me.”
“Don’t spend those sleepless nights alone.” Your eyebrows scrunched and JJ resisted the urge to roll her eyes. How could you possibly not know what she meant? “It worked for me,” she continued. “Best way to get over those hard cases is to get under someone, if you know what I mean.”
Your eyes grew wide in shock and you leaned back on the bed. Your reaction was telling to JJ, but not necessarily a bad thing. That’s what tonight was for, JJ decided, testing the waters. And with that statement, her test began.
“Do I really look like the type to go out and have a one night stand with a stranger in a town with a serial killer?”
JJ shrugged and leaned back, her legs crossed and her body relaxed as she took in your every move before saying what she planned to say. “No, but I didn’t say with a stranger.”
Your eyes widened even more and JJ swore she never saw a more comical sight than what was right in front of her. You looked like a deer caught in headlights, the way your eyes nearly fell out of your head before you looked everywhere in the room but at her and started to anxiously play with an invisible string on the bed. And honestly, she enjoyed this sight. As she watched those words settle in your mind and let your nervous energy fill in the room, she realized exactly what you looked like–prey cornered by a predator. You had no idea just how close JJ was to closing the metaphorical gap between you and her, bringing you into her clutches once and for all, but she was going to make sure that tonight you knew. Then it would be up to you to either get your own distance from her or allow yourself to fall into her clutches.
“Hey,” JJ finally said, catching your attention and bringing your eyes back to her. “It was just a suggestion. Worked for me back when Will and I started.”
“And now?” Your voice was soft, and she wasn’t sure she knew if the implications to that question was your own way of testing the waters and seeing if she could be that distraction for the night, or an innocent question she should take at face value.
“Now Will and I are divorced, but I got used to cases like these long before that.” Without waiting for your response, JJ stood and crossed the room. She sat on the bed next to you, with just enough space that you were close but not touching. She knew she was laying the traps, but she had to be patient for the moment you’d fall into them.
“I don’t mind,” she spoke slowly, her eyes locked with yours as she sat right next to you, ”being that for you now though.”
There was a heavy silence in the room. You didn’t dare look away from her, but the way she was staring at you, JJ knew it was a bit more intense than she probably should’ve come off. She didn’t touch you though, not yet. Tonight wasn’t the time to push, no matter how desperately she was trying to stay in control of her need to just get it over with and take you. She wouldn’t let you see that, at least not until she was sure she had you.
“I… um…” you were really trying to find the right words. You weren’t entirely sure you knew if JJ was being serious just now, but something in the back of your mind told you she absolutely was. JJ didn’t care if you took her seriously yet or not, as long as she got it out there and watched what you’d do next. That’s all her goal was. “I don’t know what to say.”
“You don’t have to say anything,” JJ leaned closer, so much so that you could feel the heat of her body near your own. “Just know that’s an option should you need it.”
She was testing the waters a little more than she anticipated, she knew that, but she just couldn’t help it. Not when your cheeks were flushed and you had these doe eyes that read as if you were absolutely terrified, but still just intrigued enough to stay glued to your spot.
When you didn’t move even an inch as JJ kept leaning closer, she thought that this experiment was going way better than she expected. Her hand came up to push a loose strand of hair from your face before moving it to stroke slowly down your arm. The way you shivered, your eyes flicking to her hand for a second, was not lost on JJ. She took that opportunity to get so close to you, her lips were nearly brushing against yours.
“So…” JJ whispered, her warm breath ghosting over your lips in a way that made your whole body feel like it was tingly, “what do you think?
And of course, it was at that moment that JJ’s experiment came to a screeching halt. “I-I think!” you jumped up suddenly from the bed, your voice shaking, your tone high and nervous. “I think I should maybe, you know, do this the old fashioned way. Take a pill to help me sleep and, uh, see how far that gets me.”
“Sure,” JJ said, leaning back where she sat. “Whatever you need.”
She said that in a way that told you she didn’t for a second believe you’d get a wink of sleep. And she didn’t. She planted the seeds that you could potentially be more to JJ than just a colleague. And if JJ had any guess, she would say you’re someone who doesn’t have too terribly much experience in the department JJ was hinting at. Meaning, you’d probably be up all night tossing and turning, thinking about this moment. It’s exactly what JJ wanted. She was hoping she could peak your interest just enough that her obsession with you would be requited and you’d eventually give in to her.
She did think for a moment, as you scrambled your way to her hotel room’s door, that it might be unfair to not give you any warning at just how intense her desire for you was. Or a warning that, without you even knowing, you had begun on a path that would result in you being utterly consumed by her. But that brief moment of self doubt passed when you looked back at JJ, your cheeks still flushed, and she caught the way your breath was so labored.
In that very moment JJ knew, it would only take a miniscule amount of teasing for you to fall into the palm of your hand. She smirked to herself, eyes hooded with a desire she wasn’t even trying to hide anymore. “Just know,” she said right before you could close the door behind you, “This offer isn’t just for a one night stand with me. If you want me to help you take your mind off these hard cases, then I want you to be mine and that offer remains open. So, when you take me up on it, I promise to make that pretty head of yours empty.”
There was something in those last words of hers. She made it clear, this offer was entirely serious to her. The words she chose, she wanted you to be hers… There was danger to that phrase. One you didn’t quite understand. It was a side of JJ, in that brief moment, that you had never seen. As you thought about what just happened in her hotel room, you locked into some details of JJ. As she spoke those words, her eyes were darker, her demeanor had changed. But when you were just about to shut the door, one last glance towards JJ, that change was gone and the JJ you knew had returned with an encouraging smile. There was only one other moment you saw that look, in passing a week ago from across the office. You still weren’t entirely sure what it meant.
For JJ’s part, she couldn’t help but feel a little triumphant, even if she was sleeping alone tonight. She was sure it would happen. She made it clear, all her cards were out on the table–at least the ones she wanted you to see. If you accepted, which JJ knew would be a matter of time, she’d make sure she would ruin you so thoroughly that she’d make good on her promise. There would be no energy left in you for thoughts of bad cases, gruesome sights, or anything for that matter. Now, all she needed to do was sit back and wait.
—----------------------------
She didn’t even need to touch you yet for your mind to be off the details of the most recent case. After that night you tossed and turned each night on that case, that sleep was non-existent. But it wasn’t because of the details of the case. It was because of JJ.
What she had said that evening, what she had offered, it played over and over again through your mind. You had tried extremely hard to convince yourself that she was joking or that you had completely misunderstood what she was saying, but you couldn’t find a way to justify those theories. Your only hope was that when you got back to the BAU things would go back to normal, but they didn’t. JJ became a totally different person around you, yet no one else seemed to notice.
For two years, she had nearly been indifferent, or even cold, when the two of you were alone together. But now… Now that JJ was able to begin the process of making you hers, she didn’t need to put on a mask to hide her strongest desires. The shift literally happened that next day after the talk you had in her hotel room. As soon as you were alone, she’d stand closer. Her tone would change, she’d whisper in your ear something teasing, something that would always make you blush.
In passing, she would touch you. So lightly it was easily missed if anyone walked in, but just enough for you to know. And after that talk, all of it meant more than the average bystander would assume. It would happen in the way her body would lean over yours when you showed files to her. She could stand beside you, but instead she stood behind you, over you, so that her front pressed against your back and you were much too aware of her body heat. Or it would happen when her hand would brush against your leg as she sat next you, a way that seemed like she was trying to get your attention, but really she started a little high up the outside of your thigh in a way a normal coworker would not dare to do. It was all driving you crazy.
But for just how crazy it was driving you, it was ten times worse for JJ. Every little move like that took all her self control. Every time she leaned over you in the conference room it took all her strength not to bend you over that very table. Every time she touched your thigh she was two seconds away from feeling the heat between your legs, something she so desperately wanted to do.
Yet, you still hadn’t caved. It was becoming a herculean feat to not push your limits in a way JJ knew she shouldn’t. Really, with all this teasing, she just wanted to make sure her offer never left your mind. However, as time stretched on and you hadn’t taken the offer but also hadn’t yet pulled away, it was beginning to anger JJ. She wished it was just a little bit of sexual frustration, knowing she was pent up and impatient for you. But no, this turned into full blown fury when a month had gone by and you still hadn’t caved to her advances.
It wasn’t like your interests weren’t peaked either. JJ knew you weren’t unwelcome to them. She felt the way you shivered. She noticed the way you’d lean back into her. She saw the way you’d bite your lip and start breathing harder the second her hand got a little too close. In all of those moments, you could’ve pulled away. Not once did you ever do that.
So why weren’t you already hers?
Things really boiled over when the team went out for drinks at a bar. JJ was watching you like a hawk, but knew not to be too close. There were too many other members of the team around, it would be too obvious if she resumed her little game of teasing and small touches with you. So instead, she picked a table at the back of the bar and pretended to listen to whatever Rossi was droning on about as her eyes locked onto you.
You were there, cheerfully listening to Penelope as you absentmindedly sipped what JJ counted as your third drink. You were heading out of the realm of tipsy and JJ was telling herself that her constant watch was just to make sure you didn’t do anything too messy. Her plan was to make sure she didn’t take her eyes off you, not even for a second.
It made her bad company to share a table with, but she didn’t care. Rossi didn’t seem to either as he kept talking. She was going to be successful in her watchfulness of you, if it hadn’t been for Emily stepping right in front of her line of sight on you. JJ tried hard not to flash a frown as Emily joined in conversation with Rossi, but it was difficult when she couldn’t catch a glimpse of you without being obvious.
In fact, she probably was still not as smooth as she should be, as her eyes darted around Emily but never locked onto her face. JJ absolutely missed the moment Emily cocked an eyebrow at her, but didn’t miss the moment Emily’s head turned back to follow her gaze. When Emily looked back at JJ she gave her a look that said “what the hell is this about?”
JJ decided maybe it’s best to shrug it off; her eyes finally resting on Emily. If she took her eyes off you for a minute, what's the worst that could happen? You were over chatting with Tara and Penelope now, so it wasn’t like JJ had anything to worry about. Even then, what would she worry about? It’s not like you were officially hers, you hadn’t agreed to anything. But the idea alone of watching you go home with someone from the bar had her blood boiling. There've been nights in the past where that was almost the case, but then JJ swooped in and offered to drive you home, squashing anyone’s hopes.
It was a pure test of strength and self control on her part back then. Having been still married to Will, knowing you wouldn’t start an affair with her willingly, she had to control herself. But with you alone in a car with her late at night, in outfits that weren’t usually what you’d wear to work… It was a miracle she resisted.
When Emily began chatting with JJ she tried not to show her irritation. She didn’t ask what JJ’s deal was or why she was so set on not taking her eyes off you, but she was curious. JJ could tell, so she tried her hardest to play it off.
The problem was, JJ wasn’t very in control anymore now that the ball was rolling and the previous obstacles were gone. So, when ten minutes went by and finally Emily shifted so JJ’s eyes could land on you again, she started seeing red.
Instead of being surrounded by your teammates, you were pressed rather uncomfortably against the bar as an unknown woman cornered you. She had one hand resting on the counter next to where your back was pressed and she was leaning way too close for comfort.
Your face was flushed and you were smiling, but it was one of those innocent smiles. The one that told JJ you had no idea what the girl’s intentions were.
JJ slammed the bottle of beer she had been nursing all night onto the table. Cutting Emily off mid sentence and causing both her and Rossi to shoot questioning glances at her.
“Will you excuse me for a minute?” JJ said through gritted teeth.
“JJ, everything okay?” Emily looked back briefly to where JJ was glaring.
“I just need a minute,” JJ practically hissed. She knew she’d be kicking herself for snapping later, but right now, as JJ watched the girl kept inching closer and closer to you from across the bar, she frankly didn’t give a fuck. Instead, she was stomping right towards you.
Your eyes said it all as you looked around the girl to see the angry blonde standing right behind her. JJ was taking deep breaths, her nostrils flaring as she glared at the situation in front of her.
“So what drink can I buy you?” The girl was totally unaware of the electric shift in the air that came with JJ’s fuming form right behind her.
“I think she’s had enough to drink tonight.”
That finally got the girl’s attention. She jumped and turned, her face immediately falling into a frustrated frown. Her eyes flashed to JJ’s and were met with a narrowed glare, one that dared her to try any more with you, without even saying a word. Her whole body shifted and finally, to JJ’s relief, she gave more space between the two of you.
“Oh, is she with you?” It probably was an innocent question, but JJ took it as a challenge.
“Uh,” you began, “that’s-”
“I’m taking her home,” JJ cut off, her tone biting.
“You know her?” The girl shifted to fully face JJ, hands on her hips as if she would accept JJ’s challenge for a moment.
JJ took a slow, calculated breath, her eyes looking up and down this random stranger that dared try to pick you up. She could answer, but what would she say that would convince this woman to leave you alone? If she lied and said you were hers in any capacity, it would scare you away. If she said she was your colleague, what would stop her from pursuing you? Luckily you answered first.
“Yeah, I do…” JJ’s eyes flew to you when you finally spoke. “She’s right though,” you sighed. “I should get going. It was nice chatting with you.”
JJ couldn’t stop the triumphant smirk she flashed at the woman when she realized she had won. You squeezed past the woman and found yourself walking right to JJ’s side. “Come on,” JJ said as she placed her hand on the small of your back.
She led you out, knowing tonight was another night of dodging anyone from taking what JJ was so hopeful would one day soon be hers. The only problem was, Emily clocked the whole interaction the entire time.
“Why did you step in like that?” The car ride had been silent for the most part. JJ was still a little frustrated with the way you let someone get so close to you and how you had yet to give into her or take her up on the offer. Tonight was the first night since her divorce that she had been out to drink with you and the team. She had thought, of all nights, you’d be hanging off of her at least a little. But when you made a beeline for the opposite end of the bar, that was her rude awakening that you were going to keep playing the little game of pretending the two of you didn’t have sexual tension yet again.
“What do you mean?” JJ shrugged, her eyes locked on the road. “You always stop at three drinks and I could see you were getting uncomfortable.”
Were you? JJ knew the answer was no, but if she could convince you that you should be then maybe she’d win whatever argument might be coming her way.
“I was fine…” you mumbled, your head turned to watch as the streets passed you by.
“Okay,” JJ let out a sarcastic chuckle.
“I was,” you insisted, your arms crossing over your chest as you finally looked back at JJ.
JJ had finally pulled up to your apartment. Before responding to your little outburst, she put the car fully in park, but made sure to keep the car locked.
“Oh, please,” JJ’s voice was an eerie kind of calm, “she was trying to pick you up and you don’t want that.”
“I don’t?” You were looking at JJ as if she was crazy, but her face remained unreadable. “How would you know?”
“Because,” JJ scoffed, “I know you think about my offer every. Single. Day.” She enunciated each word as she spoke, leaning a little closer after every single syllable. “You don’t want that girl, you want me and you’re making it incredibly frustrating for me to wait so fucking long for you to give in.”
You opened and closed your mouth, your body leaning back as JJ’s leaned in, over the center console of the car. Her words left you speechless and you could feel that your face was flushed both from the alcohol and from how blunt JJ was being. It was like a total shift in her, something similar to that night in the hotel but this was… harsher. She was frustrated and you were the reason for it.
Maybe JJ should’ve been a bit more careful with her pushing, but that girl and then your own words had pissed her off.
“I won’t act,” JJ had unbuckled her seat belt and now was practically leaning over where you cowered in the passenger seat, “until you tell me you want it.” You felt JJ’s warm breath on your skin as she leaned closer and closer to you. Her body heat was almost suffocating in the small space of her car. “But just know that I know you want it. And the longer you make me wait, the less nice I’ll be when you finally ask me for it.”
You felt a warm hand on your thigh and realized JJ’s hand was trailing across your body. You still were at a loss for words. Her face leaned closer to yours, her body slightly pressed to your own from where she stretched across to where you were sitting. What happened to waiting for you to act?
“JJ… Wait,” you felt her warm breath against your lips before they moved to ghost over your jaw, but never touch. “W-Wait, I-” And then there was a click.
JJ pulled the seat belt from around you and then suddenly leaned back into the driver's seat. You heard the car doors unlock a second later.
“I’ll see you on Monday.”
You stared at her wide eyed for a moment, your chest heaving, your heart racing. She didn’t say anything more. All you could do was scramble out of the car. You weren’t sure if it was the alcohol or JJ that made you feel like your head was swimming, but you had a theory it was the latter.
The thing about being rash like JJ was at the bar, meant that people noticed. And by people, that really only meant one person in particular: Emily Prentiss.
JJ loved Emily, she really did, but she needed her to stop giving her looks. It was almost every time you were in the room with JJ. If Emily was there, she was arching her eyebrow and giving JJ inquisitive glances. It meant JJ had to behave a little more, which made this game she was playing with you way harder. She needed to drive you crazy so you’d finally give in, but how could she do that when Emily wasn’t leaving the room and giving JJ her precious moments of alone time with you?
Even if she could tease you with small touches that she could convince anyone else–apart from a curious Emily–as innocent mistakes, she did know that that night after the bar had gotten under your skin. It was really just too easy with you. All JJ had to do was lock eyes with you, let her facade slip just a tiny bit to show a little bit of that dark hunger she had for you, and it had your cheeks flushed within seconds. It was a new favorite power move of JJ’s, to watch you squirm where you sat all with the power of one glance.
Any minute now, JJ thought with a smug look plastered on her face as she watched you from across the table, not really paying attention to any of the briefings that Penelope was sharing.
She didn’t expect that moment to come not even two hours later, and she certainly didn’t expect it to be all thanks to her now ex husband. JJ honestly wasn’t planning to use him to get you jealous. She didn’t even think you’d react in that way. And to make things even more surprising, all of her actions when she saw Will stop by her office was innocent–not part of the little game she was playing with you at all. But still, it all worked out so incredibly well for JJ.
She had shut the door behind her when Will had come by the office. Really, it was just a chat in a public place, where they both had neutral ground in a way, in order to discuss semantics about the finalization of the divorce. It was a civil discussion, just like most of this divorce had been, to JJ’s surprise. Not that she thought she would get nasty, but she knew Will was hurt from her lack of attention to him for such a long time. But after a good conversation, she was feeling decently confident that they could part on good terms. So, when JJ walked Will out of the office, he turned and they hugged.
It was a long hug. One that, to them at least, was a goodbye. It lingered, but there was no other meaning behind it, other than a simple end of a chapter in both of their lives. But when they parted and Will walked away, that was when JJ spotted you–frozen where you stood, eyes wide in shock.
In that moment, she knew she had an opportunity. All she had to do was watch it play out in front of her. So, JJ didn’t acknowledge the hurt expression you threw her way. Instead, she locked eyes with you, but she kept her face unreadable. Then, after a long moment of charged silence, she walked back into her office.
It took you about five minutes to finally burst in. No knock, no nothing. JJ had simply waited at her desk, leaned back, her arms folded over her chest.
You had debated not coming in. Coming in probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do, but JJ had pulled back this week and you had wondered what that was about. She did say she wouldn’t act, but did that mean that those brief touches that you loved so much (even if you were doing your best to deny that) would just be over? And then, seeing Will come in, seeing them talk for almost an hour, and that hug… Maybe she was done waiting. Maybe you had missed your window, too busy being a coward to take hold of the one thing that was consuming your thoughts every day.
So your best plan was to storm in and demand answers. Which is exactly what you did, flinging the door open and slamming it closed without so much as a simple hello.
“Can I help you?” JJ questioned with an eyebrow arched.
“What was that?”
“What was what?” JJ was going to play coy as much as she possibly could. She was done making it easy for you.
“That!” you gestured wildly with your hands, as if it meant anything at all. “With your ex husband!”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Oh really?” you scoffed. “If I can’t let a girl buy me a drink, then you can’t get back with him.”
“So, you’re the one making the rules now?” JJ rose slowly from her desk.
“N-No…” you stumbled back.
“Then what’s stopping me?” JJ took a step in your direction.
“If I can’t–”
JJ’s hand flew up. “I didn’t say you couldn’t. You had your chance, you could’ve stopped me from taking you home. But you didn’t, did you?” She kept slowly closing the distance between the two of you, walking over to you in a way that felt reminiscent of a predator closing in on her prey. “You willingly walked away from that girl at the bar. You willingly got into my car and let me take you home, not anyone else. Just like you always do.”
“That is… Well…” you trailed off, your eyes darting to the floor. JJ probably wouldn’t have given you a choice, if she was being honest, or if she did, it would be the hardest thing she had to do. But she wanted to think you still had a choice. That now that JJ was no longer with Will it was your idea to come to her in the long run and it wasn’t obviously part of her twisted game of finally having you the exact way she wanted you. Yes, she pushed here and there, but really she was playing the long game and finally it was going to pay off.
“So then,” JJ was standing in front of you now, “What’s stopping me from getting back together with him? Or being with anyone, for that matter?”
“But you offered…” you didn’t finish that sentence, your eyes still refused to meet JJ’s.
“I did, but you haven’t accepted, have you?”
“What if I do?” Finally, your face turned to look at JJ. Your cheeks burning at your own words, your eyes still filled with frustration, but less so than when you stormed in. JJ tried to keep her face neutral; she didn’t want to give away too much that this is exactly what she hoped for.
But it was in that question that she knew she had you. Finally. If she played her cards right, she was one step away from sealing this deal.
“Then we’ll make an agreement,” JJ said with such nonchalance, as if she was making a business proposal.
“What kind of agreement?” your voice was barely a whisper. Your eyes searched JJ’s for any sign of anything other than cold calculation, but she wasn’t going to give you that.
“I told you I’d make that pretty head of yours empty if you accepted.” JJ reached out a hand, her fingertip trailing along your cheek. “But you have to agree to be mine. Only mine.”
“And…” your eyes darted between JJ’s eyes and the way her hand was playing with a strand of your hair. “Will you also only be with me?”
“If you’re a good girl,” JJ smirked at the increasingly red flush of your cheeks, “And do what I want, then yes.”
There was a pause, your eyes still locked with JJ’s in fear, your mind racing. JJ knew you needed a moment to think over what you were about to agree to, but she couldn’t give you that long. Not if you thought too hard about it and backed out. This was a side of JJ she didn’t let anyone see, a side that not only wanted you but wanted to own you. She didn’t want you to fully grasp the magnitude of her obsession with you, otherwise you’d run for the hills.
So she took another step, this time right into your space, one arm encircling your waist and pressing you to her body. The hand playing with your hair was suddenly cupping your chin and tilting your head up to meet her lips. “So do we have an agreement?” she whispered, her lips barely touching yours.
There was a small hitch of your breath and JJ could almost feel your heartbeat speed up from the way her body was pressed to yours. She knew before you even had to say it, but still she waited until finally you exhaled a breathy, “yes…” and then she captured your lips with her own.
The kiss was slow, but still all-consuming. She kissed you in a way that had your body shudder in her grasp. It felt like molten lava flowing through your veins, the way the heat from her kiss filled your body. Starting with your lips and slowly moving down to settle in your limbs. She kissed you in a way that told you she was waiting for this moment longer than you might realize. Her teeth dragged against your bottom lip and her tongue ran against your own in just the right way to make you feel drunk on the slow, sensual way her mouth moved against yours.
But all too soon she parted from you, her entire body taking a step back from yours. You blinked, dazed from the interaction you just had.
“In a couple hours,” JJ said as she returned to her desk, “Come back. Everyone should be gone by then.”
You looked at her wide-eyed. She was kicking you out after a kiss like that? But she was right, your coworkers were right outside. JJ just gave you an expectant look and all you could do was nod and turn away.
—-----------------------------------
It was torture waiting those few hours for the team to pack up and leave. No one questioned JJ staying behind, but some gave you curious looks when you said you had work to evaluate before you could go home. The most concerning looks came from Emily, but to JJ’s relief she still ended up heading home eventually.
When the last person on the team went home, that was when you quietly entered JJ’s office. This time you had actually knocked and heard her call for you to come in. You did as you were told.
JJ didn’t stand when you entered. Instead, she leaned back on her chair and motioned for you to come to her desk. You stopped in front of it, the desk creating far too much distance for JJ’s liking between the two of you.
“Come around here,” JJ said, pushing her chair back so there was room for you to stand between her and the desk.
You gave her a curious look but did as you were told yet again. JJ tried to bite back the smirk playing at her lips when she realized just how easy it would be to get you to obey her every whim.
“Turn around,” JJ demanded, standing up from her chair.
“Uh.. what?”
“I said,” JJ’s hands fell to your hips. “Turn around for me. Face the desk.”
JJ didn’t really wait for you to comply. Her hands encouraged you to turn your body around, but you still did so. Your hands absentmindedly rested on the edge of her desk and you heard the tap of JJ’s shoes as she stepped up closer to you. Her hands remained on your hips, but you felt, suddenly, as JJ’s whole front pressed to your back.
Then, with absolutely no warning, JJ kicked open your legs right where you stood in a way that you almost lost your balance. “JJ what the fuck?!” you practically shouted, but JJ didn’t respond at all. Instead, she pushed you down onto her desk hard with a hand pressed firmly on the small of your back. You fell forward, your hands moving to the furthest edges of the desk to brace yourself, your face just millimeters away from slamming into the hard wood. JJ successfully had you completely bent over.
“Remember what I told you about making me wait?” JJ warned from behind, her hands suddenly all over your body as you leaned uncomfortably forward on her desk. “Well, you made me wait far too long. I’ll give you exactly what you want, baby, but I told you I wouldn’t be nice about it.”
The hands that were groping at you from where you were bent over the desk suddenly stopped and moved to the bottom of your shirt, slowly dragging it up. She had it pulled over your head and thrown somewhere in the room, your bra with it. But before you could even react to the cold wood of the desk pressing against your bare chest, both her hands dragged up your torso to your hair.
The sting of her nails dragging up your back right before the sting of her hand tugging your hair in her grip made you hiss. But even to your own surprise, that sensation went straight to the growing heat between your legs. It was embarrassing how fast this was turning you on. JJ was manhandling you in a way you didn’t expect her to ever do, in a way that certainly no one else had, and you were loving it.
If you had taken the offer the first night she brought it up, back in the hotel, she would’ve been kind–Gentle even. However, you had made her go without you for much longer than she expected and it frustrated her to no end. She was diving into this. There was only so much control she could have. Right now, now that you had finally given in and said you would be hers, she didn’t need to worry about keeping herself collected.
“You’re mine now, right?” JJ whispered in your ear from behind. You were breathing hard, your whole body starting to slightly tremble, even if JJ hadn’t really touched you yet.
“Yes,” you whimpered, subconsciously pressing your thighs together to satiate the ache you were feeling.
“Then you’re going to be my good girl,” JJ growled, nipping at your ear before she continued, “And take all that I’m about to give you. I promise I’ll fulfill my part of the deal, but you have to make up for lost time first.”
With that JJ trailed kisses down your bare back before leaning back up and moving her hands to your pants that were still on. You felt her reach around your body to pop the button of your pants open before she was pulling them down.
“Kick those off for me,” JJ ordered, “but don’t get up from the desk.”
She stepped back as you complied, awkwardly kicking your pants off and away from your ankles while never leaning back up from where she had pressed you to her desk.
You heard JJ rummage through her drawers, but never saw what she got from them. After a moment, she stopped and turned her attention back to you.
Her hands went immediately to your bare ass and you jumped at the sudden return of her touch. “You have no idea,” JJ groaned, “how long I’ve been waiting to see you like this.” She leaned back slightly from where she stood to get a better view of you, your pussy already glistening with wetness from JJ’s previous actions.
You had no idea her being so rough with you would have any sort of effect on you, but today was filled with so many surprises.
JJ’s fingers brushed against the outside of your pussy, slowly trailing your slit up and down. You pressed your forehead to the desk, trying to ground yourself with the cold feeling of the wood to stave off the desperation for her to touch you more.
Her fingertips finally pressed to your clit and began moving in slow circles. “I wonder,” JJ hummed as she watched your legs tremble, “how long have you wanted this?” Her circles picked up and your lips remained parted as soft sighs of pleasure fell from them. “Was it as long as I’ve wanted this? Or did I plant this seed in your mind that night at the hotel?”
“It was- It-” you struggled to find words as her fingers picked up the pace. “It’s b-before that.”
“Before that?” JJ mused as her fingers began to dip down. “Were you thinking about this when I was married?” There was a sudden slap of your ass with JJ’s other hand and the soft sighs coming from your lips suddenly turned into a loud gasp. “What a bad girl, only just letting me have you now.” Another smack resonated throughout the room and then another, both followed by a gasping moan.
Your legs were shaking harder now and your eyes were screwed shut. You began to whine at the loss of contact but JJ shushed you almost instantly with two fingers pressing to your entrance.
“Deep breath,” JJ purred, her body leaning over where you were bent onto the desk. You did as you were told. “That’s a good girl.” and with that you felt her fingers press in all the way to her knuckle. Slowly they slid out and then suddenly, with as much power as JJ could muster, she started fucking into you hard.
Moans filled the room and your knuckles turned white from how hard they were holding onto the edge of the desk in front of you. “Oh fuck, fuck,” you kept repeating as JJ pounded her fingers into you without hesitation. One of her hands made its way back up your body, tangling into your hair and pulling with a delicious sting.
“You have no fucking idea,” JJ grunted as she kept fucking into you, “how badly I’ve wanted you like this. I’ve dreamt of this very moment for so long.”
You couldn’t respond. You couldn’t do much of anything really, other than take her fingers as she pumped them harder and faster. JJ pulled on your hair, causing you to turn your head slightly to peak up at her from behind.
“Tell me, who do you belong to?”
You didn’t answer right away, and JJ tugged your hair again. You hissed at the sensation of pain mixed with pleasure, but still managed a garbled “You!” as she kept her brutal pace.
After a few moments, you felt like your knees were going to buckle. JJ released your hair to hold onto your hip, but didn’t stop her pace, instead she guided your hips back onto her fingers to help fuck them deeper into you. You felt hot tears prick at the corners of your eyes from the overwhelming pleasure JJ was causing you paired with how badly your body ached from being bent over and fucked onto the desk in this way, but still you never wanted her stop. Not when you were so close to falling over the edge.
When JJ’s other hand left your hip to reach around and rub your clit, that’s when you finally fell over the edge with an ear split cry. If you had any sort of common sense you would know that there’s a good chance the two of you aren’t alone in the BAU, but the moment JJ made you cum so hard you were seeing stars, you didn’t really bother to care.
After a moment of desperate whimpers and moans, you finally came down from your high, JJ’s fingers slowing inside of you. Your body collapsed forward onto the desk fully and you pressed your warm cheek to the wood, trying to catch your breath.
“We’re not done yet,” JJ said after a moment, taking a step back from you.
You didn’t respond, your eyes remained closed as you tried your best to even your breathing. The rustling of clothes could be heard behind you, but you didn’t think much of the sounds. Nor did you really let the words JJ just said process in your mind.
“Get up.” Her tone was strict, but she let you take your time. With a huff, you slowly pushed yourself up from the desk and finally stood upright. It felt like all your joints were locked up for a second as you tried your best to subtly stretch your limbs and arch your back to shake off the uncomfortable position JJ had forced you into.
Slowly, after a moment of stretching your neck, you turned around to face JJ and your eyes nearly popped out of your skull when you took in the sight.
JJ had kept some clothes on. Honestly, she was mostly fully clothed which normally would leave you self conscious considering you were utterly naked in front of her. She took her blazer and her button up top off, leaving just a simple white tank on. Her pants were on, but unbuttoned and unzipped and hanging out of them was a rather large silicone strap-on.
“Where did that come from?!” For what seemed like the millionth time today, you were looking at JJ with utter surprise in your eyes.
“My desk,” JJ shrugged.
“You just have that in your desk? At work?” You wanted to take a step back, but your back was already right up against the desk.
JJ took a step forward, her hands reaching for your hips again. “I wanted to be prepared,” she retorted. With a strong grip, she pushed you forward and hoisted you up to sit on her desk this time.
JJ leaned in, her hands resting on either one of your bare thighs. In a flash her lips capture yours finally. Her tongue immediately licked into your mouth and that familiar heat began to pool between your legs again. When her hands began to push your legs open and her body began to press closer, all you could do was comply. The way she kissed you had you completely melted into her again, but it was the feeling of the tip of the strap brushing against your bare thigh that made you pull back.
The look in JJ’s eyes told you that was the wrong move, but you couldn’t stop yourself. “Doesn’t that uh… seem too big?”
“God, you’re ask too many fucking questions,” JJ growled. “Here, maybe this will help.”
Without warning, JJ’s hand left your thigh and her fingers pressed to your lips and when you began to protest she took the chance to slip them into your mouth.
“Hey! Mmfph!”
“You took these just fine,” JJ soothed. She began pumping them ever so slowly into your mouth and without even being prompted, you knew she wanted you to suck on them. So you did. “And you’ve been such a good girl so far… So, I think you can take this for me. Don’t you?”
Your eyes just locked with hers, your mouth still full of her fingers. Your hands reached out, held on hard to JJ’s waist as she pressed her body closer to you. After a moment, JJ removed her fingers from your mouth and your eyes followed that same hand reach down for the toy, stroking it slowly to get it wet from what was left on her fingers.
When she was done, she positioned the strap to line up right with your entrance, but before she pushed in she paused. With both her hands she reached for yours, that were still gripping her hips. “Hold the desk,” JJ said as she moved your hands to the lip of the desk, pressing each of them and encouraging you to tighten your grip. “Hold on tight.”
And then one hand moved back to push your legs further open while the other guided the toy in.
You took a low breath, your head leaning back as you adjusted to the way it slowly stretched you open as she pushed it in inch by inch. JJ paused for a moment when it was in all the way to the base. She let you take a few deep breathes, knowing you needed at least a moment to adjust.
“Is it okay?” JJ used a hand to cup your cheek, guiding your head so you’d look at her. You nodded, your eyes dazed again as you began to squirm, waiting for her to make a move.
“U-uh huh…” you mumbled.
“Good,” JJ purred. “Now, I’m going to fuck until you can barely stand.”
And much like when she was fucking you with her fingers, she began to slowly slide the toy out before slamming it hard back into you, her hips flushed with your own. You cried out and fell forward, holding onto JJ’s back to keep you upright as JJ began to pump the toy in and out of you. Your nails dug into JJ’s shoulder blades, but she didn’t mind the slight pain of it. She was too focused on the way you were taking a strap that even she honestly had doubts if you could take it. This was going way better than she ever dreamed.
She was pushing the strap in and out of you with such force that all you could do to make sure you remained upright was to lock your legs around JJ’s waist. But she encouraged that, her own hands holding on to your hips and pulling your body forward to match her thrusts.
Before you had tried your hardest until you hit your peak to keep the volume down. Now, with stretch of the dildo fucking hard inside you paired with the way JJ’s lips were attached to your neck, leaving kisses and bites in their wake as her hands guided you into the strap, you couldn’t care less about volume. Cries of JJ’s name and loud, broken moans filled her office as she fucked you harder and harder.
JJ was moaning against your skin as she fucked you. The sheer fact that you were taking her cock right there on her desk finally while she fucked into you like an animal had her so turned on she, herself, could barely think straight. “Fuck,” she groaned into your neck before biting and leaving yet another mark behind. “You’re so fucking good for me.”
Your hands were gripping JJ’s hair as your body began to shake. You were reaching your edge yet again and JJ just kept pumping her hips faster.
When JJ sank her teeth into your shoulder and she ground her hips into you at the same time, that’s when you came again with a cry. But JJ didn’t slow, she fucked you even faster, not letting you come down from your high.
“JJ I- fuck! I can’t do-” you gasped when JJ’s mouth moved down to your chest and her lips closed around your nipple. All of your body felt entirely too sensitive, but JJ just kept going. “I can’t do another!”
“Yes you can,” JJ hissed around your nipple before biting at the peak.
Your hands scrambled on JJ’s back, desperately pulling her closer as the burning pleasure between your legs just kept growing yet again. Your whole body was noticeably shaking, but it still didn’t stop JJ. Instead, she pulled her mouth away from you. In a blink, JJ’s hands came to your shoulders and shoved you back down onto her desk, this time with your back pressed to it instead.
The strap still inside you, JJ didn’t miss a beat and kept pumping. Her hands gathered yours until she held them together with her own strong ones, by the wrists and stretched them over your head. She held them like that as she kept fucking into you. You had nowhere to run, no way to combat the feeling of your body being pushed to limits and all your senses being overloaded. Your back arched, causing you to press your overly sensitive, bare skin into JJ’s body.
At this point you weren’t even aware of the sounds you were making. It was a constant flow of crying out JJ’s name, moaning, and gasping at the way JJ’s strap was fucking into you. It was moving in just the right way to go deeper than you thought it could and hit a spot in you over and over again that made tears run down your cheeks.
JJ was lost in this. In the way tears of pleasure rolled down your cheeks, in the way your body shook and the strap disappeared into your pussy. She could cum right then and there just from watching herself fuck you.
You came on her strap a third time with a low whine, but still JJ didn’t stop. Fucking you faster and faster, her hands still holding your wrists over your head so you couldn’t push her to stop, she kept going. Your body might be at its limit, but you were so drunk on the pleasure she was making you feel that you’d sooner pass out from the sheer intensity than ask her to slow down.
With how sensitive your body was, quickly a third orgasm turned into a fourth and you came around her strap again with a stuttering moan.
Finally, after the fourth time, JJ slowed. Her own chest heaving as she finally released your wrists. She took the strap out of you slowly, unfastening it from her hips before she stood back and looked at the sight before her.
“God, you were so fucking good,” JJ growled as she took you in. You stayed laying back on the desk, your eyes closed and breath labored. The way your thighs dripped with your own cum had JJ’s mouth watering but she suspected you’d be far too sensitive for her to taste you now. Instead, JJ settled for leaning over your spent body and grabbing your chin not-so-gently before pulling you up to give you a searing kiss.
You tried so hard to kiss her back with the same energy, but you were left a mess and still had yet to gather yourself. JJ pulled back after a moment and leaned over you. “Who do you belong to?” JJ asked again, squeezing your chin until you opened your eyes to meet her gaze.
“You,” you whispered, your voice hoarse.
“Good,” JJ purred. “Open.”
You didn’t even question it at this point, doing exactly as you said. JJ tilted your head up with her grip and spit. You jumped slightly, your eyes snapping open again to meet her intense stare.
“Swallow,” she demanded, mesmerized by the way you immediately closed your mouth and did as you were told. JJ didn’t stop the devilish grin that grew on her face.
You squirmed underneath her on the desk, gulping as you saw that flash in her eye again. The one that felt more dangerous than the JJ you were used to.
As JJ hovered over you, in that moment she knew she had you completely. You were going to be hers to touch, to fuck, to ruin whenever she pleased. It was all she wanted and it was finally right here in her hands.
You had no idea what you were in for when you agreed to be JJ’s, but the important thing was that you now were hers. She knew each time she asked if you were hers, even if it was in the middle of fucking you so hard your head spun, that when answered it was utterly and completely true.
—--------------------------------------
When the two of you had dressed, the only thing you hoped for was that you were right about all the team going home. JJ didn’t honestly care whether they had or not. She thought the chances of them hearing, even if you were quite loud, were slim if one or two people returned to the office or hung back.
But as you gathered your stuff, movement in the office across from her caught JJ’s attention. Sitting there at the office across the BAU, blinds open, lights dimmed but still on, was Emily Prentiss.
Slowly her head turned to peer out the window. Her eyes locked with JJ, but then dragged down to you. JJ’s remained fixed on Emily’s face and watched, as in that moment, a similar look, one JJ would recognize on her own face whenever she let her mask fall as she watched you from across the room before, washed over Emily’s face. Her eyes were glued on you for a moment as she watched you collect your things. Even from across the room, JJ could tell the way Emily’s darkened. And then, ever so slowly, they moved back to JJ’s face and the look Emily gave when their eyes locked only meant one thing.
Summary: Everyone has a mother. That’s how every life begins. To have a mama, though, is a luxury you had never been afforded. At least, not until Wanda came along.
