@swaywithb fucking same happened to me. My mom didn’t let me or my siblings take sex ed but refused to give us the sex talk. It led to a lot of bad judgment calls later on especially since I joined the Army at 17. That is NOT an ideal environment for a 18 year old virgin who barely knows the basics of sex.

And now that I have a bf she’ll occasionally accost me and demand to know if I am having sex w him or do i let him “violate you” by “fondling your breasts.” But it was because of her stupidity I am the most sexually knowledgeable I dare say out of all my friends because I took up the initiative to learn. This shit gotta stop. Forcing your child into a corner and saying “don’t have sex” doesn’t teach them how a period works, doesn’t teach them about contraceptives, doesn’t teach them what is rape and what is sex, doesn’t teach them exactly how a baby is made, doesn’t teach them about the harsh realities of child birth. All it does is creates uneducated teens and adults that end up having unwanted pregnancies spreading stds or on the opposite end severely repressed individuals, so when they are ready for sex usually have to go through therapy. Congrats! You’ve done nothing as a parent but harm your child.
