So this what happens

maybe read some books or watch some videos on prison abolition. some people—unlike you apparently—have real ideas and well thought out ways to implement them. maybe read some literature about psychology and human behaviour. anthropology and sociology also have insights here. i dunno. just learn more, please.

its obvious the current situation is destructive, doesn't work, doesn't get anywhere close to the actual roots of the problems, and needs to be replaced with something better. i do not consider “well this may suck but its the best we can do” as a valid answer to solvable problems. if you are confused, again, there is plenty of literature and online content filled with real ideas.

also, believing that a world without police and prisons is impossible is a very colonized perspective. its a very very narrow way of looking at the world. not every culture through the existence of humanity has required authoritarianism and punishment to keep peace and safety.
