I have most of my things packed at the moment. Everything is at least lined up on my bed away from the dogs. I still need to buy a sweatshirt and jacket but I’m at least good so far. – yeah I know… I should have listened to some other people when they said it was a bad idea to get the thing. So far I’ve been paying for it by being stuck on the couch for hours on end due to the pain. I didn’t expect any from you, I was waiting for you to call me an idiot. Ha. It hurts… Bad. I’m pretty colors now though! You want to see?

I figure I’ll have plenty of time tomorrow to get what I’m taking packed up. Does that mean you’re braving the mall tomorrow? Probably. I hope you’re at least taking something for the pain, and that you pack it. Leaving to find a hospital while you’re there isn’t really much of a vacation. And I do have a little sympathy, you’re probably going to end up missing out on some spectacular things now.

That sounds like a good plan to me. Can we go now? The relaxing sounds amazing…. And… Depends on if you will smack me upside the head or not…and I stepped in front of my snow cannon to fix and clear it.. Needless to say it shot out and nailed me in the chest at full speed… Two broken ribs and a lot of bruising.

Are you already packed? I still need to do that. At least I don’t have to shop for winter gear first, I bought that last year. What? Aren’t those the things they use to make snow when there isn’t enough? Oh my god, you’re an idiot. If you were looking for sympathy, you might be out of luck. Maybe.

Melissa…. I’m not worried about it. I wanted you to come and I’m glad you are. Why would I be worried about spending time with you? And… Sitting by a fire drinking wine.

I didn’t say you were worried. In fact I’m pretty sure that’s the exact opposite of what a vacation is supposed to be. So skip the couch, we’ll buy wine, and we’ll figure out something to do while we’re in Aspen that doesn’t involve injuring you any more than you’ve apparently already managed to do to yourself. Speaking of... Should I ask about that or do I want to know?

… Well you know that’s true. I could stay on one side and my bruised body could be far far away. I do like you, and I enjoy spending time with you so I’m happy you agreed to come with me… Er… Wait you agreed to come with me, not just with the group… But with me?

Well not if you’re suddenly worried about it. I didn’t mean for that to have strings or a hidden meaning. I can entertain myself if needed.

That means I was going to sleep there anyways because I doubt you would let me lay in bed with you. Lord knows you wouldn’t want to wake up being held by this.

Oh I don’t know, I agreed to go with you didn’t I? I’m not really sure I’d have reason to worry anyway, you haven’t exactly looked up to rolling around in a bed for the last several days. 

Yeah… We both know that might not be a good idea. And I’ll end up on a couch all the time.

Does that mean you had hopes of not ending up on a couch?
