It was a big knife, military, Ka-Bar. The blade was black and serrated on one side. Seven inches long and an inch and a half thick.

She was so pretty, all freckles and pouting lips. Trussed up like a turkey and wiggling on the table. “Here’s the thing,” I said, looking at the blade and turning it so that she can see it well.

“I’d rather break my new toy than let it go. Do you know what I mean?” I asked, looking her in the eye. She nodded twice. She stopped wiggling. “I am guessing you’ll like the nice games more than the mean games,” I said feeling the cool flat of the blade against my cheek. “If you’re nice, I’ll be nice. Do you know what I mean, pretty girl?” She nodded again. She looked far more frightened. Her eyes looked so lovely. I made a note to look into how I could keep them pretty forever. Keep them for myself when it was all over.

“I know it’s silly, but you may have to pretend a little. Do you know what I mean? Because if you can make it seem, you know, like you like me, then I don’t have to cut you,” I explained.

She was crying a little. I put a pillow under her head so that the tears ran down and didn’t mess with the wings of makeup on the corner of her eyes. When I was close to her I whispered.

“Because once I start to cut, it all goes bad, you know? Once I see blood, it’s like rolling down a hill and I can’t stop, you know what I mean?”

I don’t think she did. She was crying a lot. It looked very beautiful, like a painting. I put down the knife for a moment and I took her picture with the Polaroid.

I taped the Polaroid to the box where I put her clothes.

I absently squeezed one of her soft breasts. It soothed me. When I pinched her nipple she yelped. I looked down at her and frowned. I leaned down and smelled her hair, my mouth near her ear.

I still can’t beileve Eartha Kitt had a threesome with Paul Newman & James Dean. I am envious of that goddess.
