hide and spook!! boo!!
The girl’s fear seemed to have all but dissipated, perhaps a calm presence did more than they once thought. He laughed lightly at their exchange and hummed. In the last few encounters he’d had with the bakedanuki… it would be a difficult find, many times the bakedanuki hid their appearance with one less suspect. However, with the amount of energy needed to enshroud the entire forest…
They nodded. “That, I can do. I haven’t seen it while wandering through this forest, I think it realised I could see through it a bit too quickly. However,” he turned in the direction Huohuo pointed and began walking, looking over their shoulder to check if the two were following, “I’ve had many encounters with the bakedanuki over the years.”
Too many, some may say but, well, it left him well equipped in scenarios like these.
“I think you’ll find them quite cute. Typically, they are quite small and similar in appearance to a raccoon with white markings on their faces. They wear these purple bags around their necks and almost always have a leaf on their head. I’m not too sure why, maybe it’s a uniform?”
Maybe he’d get the chance to ask that this time. He smiled as Huohuo enjoyed the scenery, noticing the distinct lack of sound emitted by the fireflies. However, he’d let her enjoy the moment, even if it was only an illusion.
“Did either of you see anything similar to my description during your escape?”
Both Huohuo and Tail couldn't help but let out a couple of soft laughs at the mention of a raccoon-like creature. A certain mutual friend immediately coming to mind simultaneously, which had them turning to each other before they focus back on Kazuha, matching his stride.
The foxian lets out a hum, but before she could speak, Tail interjects to answer instead. Ignoring the glare he receives, but basks in the animosity. "Yes actually. When we had only just entered into this forest, a small creature, that looked to fit that description, was at the entrance, but-" Spitting that last word out to show he was annoyed. "I wasn't able to get a good enough look before miss scaredy-cat here got terrified when the supposed bakedanuki 'ran at her' as she claims. Then we got lost, found you, and now we are here." Lazily spouting out that last bit before turning to Huohuo with an eyebrow raise.
“Did I miss anything?”
Both shame and anger flood through the Foxian, but resigns saying anything when she couldn’t think of anything clever or to add. “No. I believe that is correct.” Letting out a frustrated sigh at the Heliobus’ jab, but deciding not to rise to his bait. Keeping her eyes directly on the path forward, only hearing the faint rustling of the trees that sounded eerie on its lonesome. Finding that a bit odd that the beating of firefly wings was no more than whisper of what it once was. Having no explanation for that, but mainly chalking it up to the strange dream-like illusion they found themselves currently in…
Or could it be one of the Bakedanuki’s tricks? From what she has learned, they like to pull pranks on its victims. Could this be one of them? Or an indicator that it was close by, or not even close?
Ugh… Huohuo’s head was hurting.
As the green-haired Foxian was just about to rub at her eyes, there was fast movement that was caught in her periphery. The thing trying to be sneak by, but failing, as it seemed to have gotten too close to cause a disturbance within the bushes, seeing a flash of a purple, before it darted away. Her hand shoots out to point in the direction she last saw it.
“Wait! I think I just saw something small in the bushes just now! I saw a flash of purple on it! It must be the bakedanuki!”
Mr. Tail blinks for a couple of seconds as he processed, definitely not paying attention until it finally clicks. A scowl forming immediately as he moved. “Well then if that’s true! Don’t just stand there, after it! Let’s go nature boy! Move it!”
A Shapeless Dilemma
Commission: Elation | Fischl & Huohuo
Something that Huohuo has come to understand in her many years of dealing with the heliobi was that they were always unpredictable. Scary, yes, but whimsical by nature, which makes them extremely dangerous if one is not being cautious. A sad look crosses over the Foxian’s countenance as she remembers the handful of incidents where they have been too late to protect innocents from falling prey to their delusions...
And this instance was no different.
"Thank you." Huohuo nods to the Spiritfarer after their recount of their most recent search that had, unfortunately, turned cold once again when the heliobus detected them closing in. Most likely using the kid's CloudHymn magic to avoid recapture. Feeling her heart squeeze in her chest at the realization that they were no closer than they were before in saving this kid's life, not even able to imagine how terrified they must be during all this.
"Well, this is just great!" Mr. Tail spits, clear venom in his words as he glares at the spot that was once occupied. "Not only do we have another heliobus on the loose once more, but they also managed to possess a kid while they were at it! Have none of you people learned anything from the last time this has happened?!" The heliobus loudly proclaims throughout the open space, that had many heads turning to him with a mixture of both anger and shame. The cyan flame, not backing down from their stares whilst Huohuo shrinks under it.
"He didn't mean that! Sorry everyone, we'll be on our way now!" Huohuo throwing the onlookers an awkward smile trying to remedy the situation while quickly trying to usher her companion towards the exit, and once they were out of ear shot, the Foxian lets out an exasperated sigh.
Mr. Tail scoffs in return. "You cannot seriously be on their side about this. We barely managed to recapture Cirrus, almost at the cost of our lives, and now the stakes are much higher than before! Useless, the lot of them." Mr. Tail grumbles that last part, flames flaring a bunch to show his agitated mood. Glaring as he floats ahead of his green-haired companion but stops once he notices an unfamiliar person just up ahead, a blonde-haired girl with an eyepatch and a purple raven by her side.
He turns to Huohuo with an upturned eyebrow, which she ignores to approach them with a smile. Remembering how they requested aid from anyone willing to aid in their search, and, if this was the case, who was she to refuse?
"Hello Miss! My name is Huohuo and this," The Foxian points to the floating specter beside her, "is Mr. Tail! Are you both here to help in the investigation's as well?"
@derimmernachtreich
Ajaw! Mr. Tail! LOCK IN!
Commission: Elation | Kinich & Huohuo
She was so fired...
A harsh bang rings out across the little office space with an accompaniment of a defeated noise that borders on the edge of a frustrated sob. The Ten-Lord's Judge laying there defeated as she can physically feel the clock ticking down until the dreaded knock that would soon reverberate throughout the small space that would be the final nail in the coffin to her doom.
...Okay, maybe it's not going to be as bad as she was thinking, but she was absolutely expecting the earful, and mountains of paperwork, she was going to deal with because of this incident. Already she was feeling the headache beginning to build behind her eyes which intensifies once Mr. Tail begins his jabbing remarks with an arrogant smile.
"I'm just sayin' that, isn't this what you have always wanted? To finally have a chance to leave this so-called line-of-work that you dread so much? I mean, regarding with what happened with Cirrus, I didn't expect another successful escape." A mocking laugh escapes as he continues. "Seems, like always, your people are always a step behind, huh?"
The heliobus turns to continue his pestering, but stops when he sees Huohuo, looking down at the desk she had her head propped up on the desk. A deep frown noticeable on her face that had him turning away when the girl lets out a small, "yeah..." that was followed by an uncomfortable silence. Tail and Huohuo don't utter a single word or even look at each other for the duration, both lost in their own thoughts as they both remember the events that transpired in Fyxestroll Garden all those day and night cycles ago.
The awkwardness spanned for a while until Tail had enough and severs it with clear irritation in his words. "So, where is this 'help,' I heard you mention before, anyway? Do they even know how to deal with Heliobus? Seems like it might be out of their purview if you ask me."
Huohuo raises from her chair at the address to start fixing up her messy desk. "And how would you know? You haven't even met them yet, and you're already making assumptions. He is widely recognized for his great track record of completing jobs, so he seemed like a perfect candidate to aid us."
Huohuo could hear the scoff he lets out, familiar with his tells when he disagrees with something, and just as he was about to voice those grievances, there was a soft rapt at the door.
Oh, thank Aeons.
The Foxian walks over to the door and opens it. "Hello and welcome to the Fyestroll Garden! I'm Huohuo, the one who hired you. Please, come in! We have much to discuss!" Stepping aside to invite the gentleman in.
@seiljager
hide and spook!! boo!!
Kazuha remained silent as he let the offer sink in for the two. The winds surrounding them remained… strange, like they didn’t belong. Perhaps that was why the flame had the ability to talk and emote just as another person would. It seemed like the two were having difficulties distinguishing between the bakedanuki’s illusions, though, that may only be due to the young girl’s fear.
The cyan flame grumbled looked as if he would refuse the offer, favouring caution over risk. An understandable decision, especially within unknown grounds. Yet, he seemed to change his mind for one reason or another. Crimson eyes met yellowish green ones. Perhaps the company she was with wasn’t so dubious.
It wasn’t difficult to hazard a guess why the flame agreed.
Something akin to amusement flickered in Kazuha’s eyes as the little girl stopped the flame’s threat short. Such heroic deeds should be written down, if he had the chance to. Their gaze went to the flame then to the young girl. Perhaps she was braver than she let on.
“No need to apologise, such caution is warranted in situations like these. Though, I do promise to keep the two of you safe.” He turned so that they were facing both Mr Tail and Huohuo. They smiled as they bowed to the both of them. “It is nice to meet you both, my name is Kazuha Kaedehara.”
The young girl’s adaption to the bakedanuki was interesting, seemed like she gained her composure in the time he had been talking with Mr Tail. They nodded at her first question.
“Yes, I did. When typically facing a bakedanuki, there is no object to destroy but figuring out the difference between reality and illusion can give insight to how to find the bakedanuki. I believe this one is trying to play hide and seek with us, relegating us as seekers. So long as we travel through the forest and find them, the illusion should fall.”
"It is very nice to meet you, Mr. Kazuha!" Huohuo says with a bright smile before its shifts into one of contemplation. "Hide and seek." She murmurs, lifting a hand to her chin as she tries to process the information. 'So, we've been assigned as seekers, huh?'
The Foxian looks about at the once spooky forest that surrounds all three of them. Before, the trees looked menacing, terrifying even, but now, that overwhelming fear that had fogged the Foxian's mind when they first entered has completely dissipated. Calmed by both having someone who was knowledgeable about the situation they were dealing with, as well as their overall presence. Mr. Kaedehara, while only having just met them, was ready to help two strangers when they revealed to accidentally stepping into this illusion. Labeling them as a kind individual in her books, unlike someone she knew.
Then it hits her, that strange creature that ran at her... Was that the bakedanuki they now were searching for? Huohuo wasn't able to detect its colors, only a brief silhouetted shape before she was running away scared... Ugh, why did she have to be such a scaredy-cat! At least knowing what it looked like could be proven somewhat helpful in their search.
"Alright. While we search for it, could you explain what it looks like? I... didn't really get a glimpse when we got lost-"
"You mean, running for your life?" Mr. Tail snickers at the retelling of the events.
Huohuo lets out a defeated sigh, before turning the way that Kazuha came from. "From what I remember it ran that way." Pointing vaguely in the direction where the dozens of fireflies, of various sizes, still gently float in the air. More seemed to have joined the fray as the path that the bugs had created before burned brighter. The sight beautiful with the mixture of the soft blue emanating from the flowers nearby. Excitedly, the green-haired girl hops towards the bugs, wanting a better look as a smile grew on her face.
"Did ya happen to see it on your way over here?" The shapeless flame asks, watching this scene unfold. "Or anythin' that might give us a clue where it might have ended up?"

Commission Board: Elation
Hello! Here are some of the commissons that I am interested in for Huohuo! Just ping, DM, or Tumblr IM me if you are interested! Also, doubling on commissions is a-okay!
[ CONFLICT ] - Overworlders serve full bowls of soup to their own, and half-portions to Underworlders. In return, Underworlders only share lukewarm drinks, while keeping the hot ones for themselves. The silent war between the two finally breaks when a scalding drink is "accidentally" spilled on someone. Now everyone's fighting, voices raised. It would be good if you could defuse the situation, or maybe you could use this chance instead to snatch a few of those meat buns?
When the tension finally snaps, chaos erupts. Nothing is thrown, however—hot food is too precious to be wasted in this frigid climate.
Alhaitham merely watches as voices rise. Unity, he thinks, inner voice as scholarly as the outer, seems to be nothing more than empty words.
"Has it always been like this?" he asks out loud—call it curiosity.
Huohuo saw the chaos erupt with her own eyes. The foot spilt that was an accident, but shouting happened before any peace could be settled. The green-haired Foxian turns to the gray-haired gentleman that both her and Mr. Tail were sat next to. Giving him a weird look as the inquiry is posed out loud, not to someone in particular, no, but just to anyone who was listening.
Before the girl could speak her mind, Mr. Tail injects first, giving his two-cents. "Oh-oh-oh. The tension has been simmering for quite some time now. A pen drop could've sparked something at this point." A wide evil grin plastered on his face as he watches the altercation, excitement clear in his voice. "I'm so glad I get to see a front row seat to all this!"
Huohuo throws the heliobus an exasperated look, before turning to the gentleman. She tries to find a positive spin to all this, but, ultimately, couldn't. Giving up, she lets out a sigh. "He's right, not the fighting part." She glares at her companion. "But the agitation surrounding then camp has been... not so pleasant since this power-outage started."
The girl's eyes turn sorrowful as she looks down at her own food. "It's sad to see everyone at each other's throat like this." Huohuo turns back to the fight, and her eyes widen, as she notices a few individuals begin to make their way over to them.
"We should go!" Getting up from her seat in quick succession, hoping the man will follow too.
Gilded Nightmares
Flins & Huohuo - Eerie Atmosphere | 🌃 Midnight in a busy city, sirens blaring a few blocks away
'Serenity' was something of a misnomer. The sirens wailed incessantly, echoing up and down the trash-littered alleyways like omnipresent ghosts. It was quieter here than in the Golden Hour, but only because fewer guests dared venture to this dangerous part of the dreamscape. What it lacked in noisy revelry and gilded decadence, it made up for in a different kind of ambiance: scattered shrieks, the discordant bells of a television going off the fritz, and the wet gnashing of teeth, the source of which always seeming to be right beside you yet never found. Flins had wandered to these forgotten alleyways in search of the peace and quiet of the gloomy island he'd been ripped away from some time ago, and a chance to think without the constant harassment from sentient billboards.
There'd been the gleam of wide, glassy eyes from a dark side street he'd passed, but beyond that, not a soul had crossed his path. Life lurked just out of sight instead, in the rumble of strange round contraptions down lonely streets, the static-tinged notes of some distant, unrecognizable melody, and the metallic echo of pipes thrown or dropped or kicked. He reached the rusted chainlink that cordoned off the end of this street just as another siren went squealing by, lights on the top of the spheroid alternating between a blinding red and blue.
"... suspect is... bzzt... at large... bzzt..."
A walking television staggered past the other end of the alleyway from which Flins had just come. Those strange creatures, with their bright, fuzzy screens, reminded him of some of Aino's inventions, but that was where the familiarity ended. This one stumbled around on its strangely bent legs almost like a human drunk.
"... sus-suspect is... bzzt..."
It passed out of sight on the cross-street, but its tinny voice still echoed off the cement walls.
"... is... bzzt... blue lamp... bzzt... tall male... bzzt... extremely dangerous."
Another siren went screaming by on the other side of the chainlink fence, stopping somewhere nearby. Instinctively, Flins reached for the lamp hooked to his belt to ensure that he hadn't lost it somewhere, knowing that there was no way he could. It was still there, but whether that was a good thing was yet to be determined. Erring on the side of caution, he kept to the shadows near the wall closest to the singed yellow light that partially lit the cross-street, but by now the walking television had either gone too far to hear, or stopped its disjointed chattering altogether.
Then came soft, quick footfalls from the other direction. A shadow stretched long across the stained asphalt. Taking no chances, Flins disappeared in a swirl of blue fire, leaving only a lightless lantern floating inconspicuously behind a pair of trash bins.
@mrtailssidekick
The quick footfalls of her feet matched with her rapid heartbeat. Getting tunnel vision as she races through the unfamiliar dark alleyways to a destination, she was all not sure about. The only thing she knew for certain was her own wants, and she wanted the exit to this terrifying place!
A sudden spark of electricity ignited out from a crumbled, broken-down television robot that caused the Foxian to jump backwards. Ready to run back the way she came from, but stopped when the sound of mechanical whirls, and heavy metal meeting asphalt was heard, making Huohuo immediately reconsider her change of direction, and continue the direction she was heading to before. Sticking close to the shadows as best as she could.
Genuinely, Huohuo was confused, frightened beyond measure, yes, but confused. She didn't know how both her and Mr. Tail had ended up in this run-down place. One minute, they both were wandering the Golden Hour, looking at the many shops and sights, next they were surrounded by darkness, and bombarded by these television robots that repeated a certain description over and over again.
Suspect. Blue lamp. Tall Male. Dangerous.
Hearing that put both of them on edge, and immediately they began to brainstorm ways to get out here. Hopelessly, they had tried to will themselves out of the dream and back to reality, but nothing seemed to happen. Both remembering the instructions given regarding the use of the Dreampool, but still nothing. Something seems to be stopping them from leaving all together. Meaning, they were stuck...
To be on the safe side, as they didn't want to be harassed by the televisions, or found by this dangerous individual, Mr. Tail, and her split up. The cyan colored light the heliobus gave off like a glowing beacon to their location, moved to up to the sky, to give himself visual, promising to keep close, but far enough away where the light won't be a problem. Huohuo, trusting Tail on his word, released him from the talisman. Watching him go with a conflicted look before moving again.
Now, Huohuo found herself at a cross-street. Moving as fast as she could to get out sight. Head darting everywhere, trying to keep a look out as she faintly hears the sound of metal. Too busy in her own panic, she runs into a pair of trash bins that were on the side of the road. Causing a huge ruckus that startles her so much, she trips and falls to the ground. She doesn't try to get up for a couple of seconds. Feeling tears begin to coalesce in her eyes.
She just wanted to go home...
As she moves to stand, but through her tears, she notices a peculiar sight. A floating lantern. A fancy one at that... Why was it floating? And why was it in the trash? Many questions swirled in her head, but she was snapped out of it when the rapid sound of metallic footsteps draw ever closer. Panicking, she grabs the lightless lantern, hoping it proves to be useful later, and runs away from the cross-street to more alleyways, hoping to lose the television that was in pursuit.
Huohuo hopes that Tail is keeping close track of her movements as she can use his assistance right at this moment. And maybe, when she was safe again, she could ask the heliobus to light the lantern in her grasp.
“Excuse me… have you seen—”
Much of Clara’s day today was spent asking around, specifically about one of her new friends! In her hands was a minimally wrapped box, her present. Birthdays only came so often (once a year!) and she had only heard about Huohuo’s birthday from some of the people around.
Thank you, kind strangers… If she hadn’t heard from them, she might’ve missed her friend’s birthday. That was worse than losing a book after a cliffhanger! Finding a present from the many little robotics she’d made that Huohuo would like took… okay, maybe it took a little too long, but!!
Mr Svarog helped so this has to be a good present! Logically speaking.
Eventually, her gaze landed on her new friend (and Mr Tail too!), she breathed a sigh of relief. Slowly, she walked over to Huohuo, hoping not to startle either of them.
“Hello, again…!” She held out her present for the other to take. “Happy birthday! I hope you like it…”
Huohuo would find inside the box a couple flowers and a small robotic fox. The fox didn’t look too much like Mr Tail (she really should’ve painted it green…) but it should follow Huohuo around like a little companion.
“If… if you need any help with the robot, I’m happy to walk you through everything…”
Huohuo's eyes lit up once she spotted Clara. A smile making its way onto her face that grew wider when the other girl wished her a happy birthday as well as handed her the well though out gifts. Looking on in amazement at both the craftsmanship of the robotic fox and the flowers, taking them both gently in hand.
"Whoa! Wait, you made this?!" Voice ladened with both surprise and admiration as she inspects the small robot, a little laugh escapes her as it almost resembles the heliobus. Not helping when she decides to turn to him with an amused smile etched on her face which earns her a raised eyebrow.
"What's so funny?" Grumbling, as his eyes dart between Huohuo's face and fox-like machine.
"Oh. Nothing, nothing." Waving her hand in a dismissal kind of way before her expression softens into a soft smile. Lifting her eyes to up Clara's with gratitude swimming in them.
"I love them. Thank you, Clara, for the amazing gifts." She steps closer with eagerness at the other's proposal. Cradling the little robot in her arms. "Yes! I would love for you to show me! The help would be greatly appreciated!"
[ PLAZA ]
"How do you like it so far, Huohuo?" Dan Heng asks idly, wandering the streets beside her. "It's definitely different from the Luofu, though the atmosphere today does remind me a little of Aurum Alley. Belobog has changed a lot since I last visited."
Indeed, the last time he saw Jarilo-VI, it was still a place filled with more struggles than joys. Of course, part of the issue was that he visited less often than Caelus and March, and as such he missed out on a few developments (like that... monster collecting game that many people have been crazy about) - whatever the case may be, he was just glad to see it doing better.
"Is there anything in particular you'd like to see and find?"
He finds himself realizing that Huohuo, too, he's less familiar with than his companions. It's got him realizing just how much he missed out on after the chaotic experiences in the Alliance put him out of commission for some time. It was new to think of a member of the Ten-Lords Commission as a simple companion on a trip and not one of his potential, well... prison supervisors.
But perhaps that, too, was part of moving on.
Jarilo-VI has been a planet she has wanted to visit for a long time. Since, the Wardance's proper completion and established political relations have been discussed. Learning of the planet that has been, essentially, trapped within itself for years, fighting for its own survival… She couldn't help but be curious, and, now, she was wondering the main plaza where she ran into a friendly face!
"Um..." Huohuo looks around at the busy plaza. People walking around with bright smiles and checking out the many stalls. Not helping the smile that also decides to grow on her face. "Yes actually!" The shorter girl then points across the way to a little storefront.
"I've actually been interested in buying some of the local books here. I have been meaning to stop by, but someone," The Foxian turns to Mr. Tail, giving him an annoyed look. "Pulls me away before I could even try to browse."
Mr. Tail gives her the exact same look. "You have way too many books back home. Why bother buying more when all you're gonna do is add them to the 'read later' pile. I'm just trying to save you the credits." If the heliobi could shrug, he would have. Turning away from the conversation with a bored expression on his face.
Huohuo sputters before exclaiming, "That's not the point!" Feeling embarrassed at having been exposed, she runs a hand down her face before turning to Dan Heng again, with an apologetic look.
"Don't listen to him, he's just being his grouchy self." She lets out a tired sigh, but she lights back up soon after. "If you don't mind tagging along with me to the store, that is. I'll buy us some food later. My treat!"

Painful Reminisce
The false skies of the Xianzhou Loufu have always been beautiful in the young Foxian's eyes. Always becoming mystified by the twinkling lights above that were meant to simulate the stars, knowing with her eyes, she is seeing what the great technology her people have manufactured, but knowing in her heart she was staring at the universe itself.
Since she was little, the heavens were always a calming presence, finding solace in it every time. Even now, she seeks it out when the need to clear her head gets too great, or when she just wants to be left to her own devices. And that's exactly what the Foxian was doing this very moment by visiting Aurum Alley. Sitting down on one of the many benches that line the cobblestone walkways, looking up at the dark blue hue.
Lately, Huohuo has been getting too lost in her own memories. All sorts of moments dancing at the forefront of her brain, It's hard not to get lost. Meeting Mr. Tail, joining the Ten-Lord's Commission, defeating Cirrus, numerous things. A great majority of experiences were witnessed beneath this very sky dome, but it also made her wonder.
What other things has it seen?
Suddenly, there is a shifting of a bright light that Huohuo catches in her periphery. Curious, she turns her head to see Tail. The heliobi, now out of his tail form, now floats beside her on the bench. The sudden appearance totally catching her off guard because, usually, when she is 'in one of her little moods,' as he so eloquently puts it, he tries to make himself scarce, so to see him out was surprise in its self. Before she could ask the flame-like being anything, he pipes in first.
"There's no way that's-" Not taking his eyes off a certain point in the distance.
Huh?
The Foxian turns as well, following his eyeline, and froze. That's-that's the mysterious Swordsman's from that terrifying dream a while ago. What was he doing here on the Loufu?!
Huohuo pushes herself off the bench as she gives chase, hearing Mr. Tail calling after her to stop, but ignoring him to duck into the side-street that she saw the man enter into. Terrified. Not of him, for him. Knowing that if the Cloud Knights catch wind of him, it could spell disaster.
She runs up to the man, frantically keeping her eyes peeled while addressing the man. "What are you doing here?! If the Cloud Knights catch wind of you, you could get into some serious trouble!"
@neverendingdeath
🍬 ;; As an apology for the whole wind ordeal, Aino wished to get the other girl a candy, too. Of course, both of them can only hope this one doesn't do the same thing with some heinous side effect. Right?

Huohuo was genuinely surprised by the sudden turn of events. The abrupt power of wind that blew both her and the pink-haired girl to the floor, and a surge of a different type of power that manifested within her, before it was gone. A loud sigh of relief left her, glad there was not an opportunity to accidentally flood the young girl's house.
Looking around now, the Foxian could tell it would have been disastrous.
She makes it back onto her feet again with a smile on her face, looking at the pink-haired girl. "Thank you for catching my hat. Also, I got it from a nice lady giving them out in Nasha Town, they seemed too good to eat myself, so I wanted to share! My name's Huohuo, and this," She points over her shoulder at a cyan-flame like creature that floats behind her. "Is Mr. Tail."
During her explanation, the Foxian was given, what looks to be, a soda. Maybe as an apology for the wind incident, but there was no harm done, and it was an accident! She goes to refuse the generous offer, but realized she was a bit thirsty...
"Thank you for the drink, and if this is an apology for what happened earlier, there's no need! It was a genuine accident!" She drinks the soda, and feels her mind begin to gently buzz. Green eyes blink, and the pink-haired girl was gone! In her place was a familiar cyan-flamelike creature who was, at this very moment, directly behind her.
'What?! Why are there two Mr. Tail's?!'

"Thank you!" Huohuo exclaimed excitedly as Kalpas handed her the green colored rock-candy on a stick. Her eyes lighting up that matches the skip in her step as they move away from the candy stand to mindlessly walk the streets of Belebog. The Administrative District was, strangely, barren at this hour, but she didn't give it much thought, only focused on the sweet treat that was given to her.
"Ooo! What flavor did you get? I believe I got green apple!” Immediately taking a bite that resulted in a crunch. The flavor wasn’t strong, but it was delicious nonetheless!
“Careful there hot-head. Don’t accidentally light the thing on fire before you can enjoy it.” Tail jabs, giving Kalpas a condescending look as he floats beside him, not frightened at all by the man's temper as the heliobi actively tries to rile him up. The cyan flame is scolded for his attempt.
“Ignore him. He’s just being mean for no reason.” As they continued to walk down the cobblestone, suddenly the wind began to pick up around them. Blowing the chill towards them, and all around in an uncontrolled manner until it calms. Not completely stilling, but a soft breeze passes by them both. As strange as the phenomena was, it was soothing. Until Kalpas felt a strong gust of wind hit him, strong enough to knock someone down if they were not careful. There was a fiery bite to it that stung but did not cause too much harm. A mocking chuckle could be heard from Tail.
“Whoa! Careful there! The winds in Belebog are no joke!”

Wandering off on her own was a horrible idea and she knew it! She even told Mr. Tail, countless times she would like to add that leaving Nasha Town without at least a guide to help them get around, but no, he kept calling her a ‘scaredy-cat’ and rattling off about ‘where’s her sense of adventure?'
... WHAT ADVENTURE COULD THEY HAVE IF THEY WERE HOPELESSLY LOST IN THIS SCARY PLACE?!
Huohuo huffs, she was going to show that heliobi what for once they get to Nasha Town! ... If they make it back to Nasha Town. They somehow got separated when they ran into some strange humanoid creatures with purple flames for heads that instantly aggroed when her and Mr. Tail accidentally got too close. While the two of them got away unscathed, one of them was able to get close and ripped the talisman that kept the heliobi with her. The fog was dense, so she had no sense of direction, but she couldn't just stay here in the fog either. Hopefully, they run into each other soon.
Huohuo curls into herself, as she begins to feel tears build in her eyes. She didn't want to be in this scary place anymore! She just wanted to go back to the safety of their room. Why did-?
Huohuo runs into something, or, someone. Turning her gaze up, and the relief she felt was immense. Glad to see another person instead of one of those flame-headed people. Wiping the tears that fell, to address the man with the lantern.
"Do you know the way out of here? I got lost from my companion and-" Stopping herself, when she was handed a pack of candy, and takes it without question. Not caring if it was out of pity, or to get her to stop talking, she needed the distraction.
Eating some, the favor was sour, causing her face to scrunch up, but suddenly her facial features twist due to a sudden great pain. Unexpectedly, golden tree-like branches began to jut out from her skin where an abundant amount of gingko leaves begin to sprout, everywhere. Her body uncontrollably begins to contort, causing more tears to fall as all thoughts become muddled and illogical.
"What's hap-" The voice that comes out is distorted, sounding awful as she continues to weep.

Halloween has always been a joyous affair for most. Children would dress in fun costumes that either were bought from a store, or beautifully handcrafted by one's own hands. It was a time for spending time with friends and/or family, maybe not go to trick-or-treating, but just to be together.
When Huohuo was much smaller, she remembers enjoying those activities with her family, but, now, with everything that happened, she mostly spends them alone. Either in her office at Fyxestroll Garden, or at home watching scary movies that play this time of year. Co-workers would wish her a 'Happy Halloween!' and give out little treats, but it was just small, little things.
Now, as she stands out in the chilly, night air of Belebog. Watching the many families trick-or-treating with smiles through the makeshift eye-holes of her quickly put together 'ghost' costume. Mr. Tail was very adamant it was important to get in the spirit of Halloween, and, 'Everyone else is doing it and so will you!'
The young foxian wasn't planning on participating, but Tail was not having it, so here she was!
Extending out her jack-o-lantern basket towards the kind brown-haired lady that was giving out candy. Huohuo, adjusts the costume as it fell into her eyes. She looks back up again and sees-
"Miss Fugue!" The green-haired Foxian takes the sparkly donut into her hands. "Hello and thank you for the donut! I hope you are having a great Halloween!" Not able to help but take a bite out of it.
"Did you make this? This is really-" She looks up again with glee in her eyes, but it quickly dissipates into tears when she sees not her pseudo big sister anymore but-
"Mom?" The Belebog streetlights and chill were gone, and replaced with the familiar backdrop of the Loufu. Huohuo rushes at her, throwing her, much tinier, hands around her mom in a hug. Not really sure what was going on, or what spell she was just put under, but casting that away for now to just hug her mom with tears messily running down her face.

It was strange, but frightening how familiar this gentleman was that had a hand extending out with a singular pixie stick in his hand. Looking directly into his eyes as she hesitates to take it, not even really sure if she should take it. The kind gesture was appreciated, truly, but…
The Swordsman, as they never really got a name before she awoke, looked terrifyingly identical to the man in the many of the wanted posters that were scattered on a majority of the billboards on Loufu Flagship. Remembering her overwhelming panic when that recognition hit her. Not really knowing what to expect from the man, or the dream they were fighting for their lives in. Her own helplessness, almost consuming her completely, as the desire to just shut down was too great. To give up. Heck, she almost did with her break down, but remembers the words the man gave to her.
Harsh as they were, but effective nonetheless.
The tension she was feeling earlier mostly dissipates from her form as her expression relaxes to a smile. "Thank you and Happy Halloween!" Taking the pixie stick, and eating it. Once the little treat is empty, she feels nothing at first until she begins to feel light on her feet! Huohuo looks down and notices that her feet were off the ground! She was floating! After a few minutes, panic starts to set in when she gets higher and higher off the ground.
Yelping, Huohuo quickly tries to grab onto the Swordsman, hoping it would stop her ascent!
Tail, who had been glaring and watching the Swordsman like a hawk, suddenly becomes furious as he tries to pull the Foxian down. "What the hell! What did you do?!"
