BOOKS ARE LOVE

Because after I learned that bone fragments were in the ashes, I knew I wasn't as strong as I thought.

It's good background noise. At least one episode has aged poorly with Booth hard-core threatening to deport a mother (to El Salvador no less) and keep the child in the states.

S01 E17 takes place in New Mexico.

Here's a small life update:

- We bought a house in August

- We got a puppy in March

There's a part of me that has a LOT of hope for this upcoming school year. Last year was just rough. The student population we have aren't really readers, and it doesn't help that the collection wasn't the greatest. I'm doing my best to breath new life into it. And I'm feeling good about the books I've added so far.

A couple of wins on Wednesday: It was orientation day for students to get their schedules, pay technology fees, and whatnot.

Our new AP came in to introduce herself and said she has only heard wonderful things about me.

At least two kids told the people they were with that I was their bestie last year.

When I went to my car to get some extra stuff I brought, 3 students from last year yelled my name, came rushing up to me, and helped me with my box.

There isn't much going on in December, and I've already planned to have students create dog toys for the animal shelter in November.

And guess what?

We're buying a house. Like....it's getting close to happening. Closing date is in August.

Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined agreeing to purchase a home in New Mexico and not returning to Texas. But the pros outweighed the cons. And...yeah!

I don't want to jinx anything, but I'm starting to get excited. In the meantime, here's an image from our potential backyard.

The guy posted some more flash of flowers, and there's a design I like. I'm kinda putting off getting another tattoo right now because we're visiting TX in 2 weeks. But when we come back, maybe??
