Hi!!!
I heard about Hamnet, but I don't know too much about it, but I'll definitely have to check it out!!
The Paul show was so unbelievably good!! He sounded GREAT, and if he comes back to your area, I would definitely recommend catching him!! If I can find someone to go with me, I really do want to see Robert.
I've been super busy lately, so I haven't had a chance to go through your blog, but I'll check it out soon!!
Those album choices are SOLID OMG. As of right now, I'd say:
Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Rubber Soul by The Beatles
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars by David Bowie
Tapestry by Carole King
The Doors by The Doors
The last song I listened to was Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight by Emmylou Harris
My family used to do a big get together, but then some drama went down a few years ago, so it's usually just me, my parents, siblings, my grandma, and the occasional cousin (but the cousin that usually comes over just got married, so I don't know what she and her wife have planned this year). I usually watch The Godfather and Fight Club while building Legos (we're a big Lego family and I've gotten at least one set for the past 5 years lol)
Ok, my wrapped kind of surprised me this year! My top five artists were:
MƄneskin
The Beatles
David Bowie
Led Zeppelin
The Doors
My top five songs were:
BABY SAID by MƄneskin
ZITTI E BUONI by MƄneskin
READ YOUR DIARY by MƄneskin
HONEY (ARE U COMING) by MƄneskin
I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE by MƄneskin
I didn't think I listened to that much MƄneskin, but apparently I did. I think the main reason was because my brother and I have such different tastes in music and MƄneskin is one of the only bands we both like, so every time we were in the car together, that's what we listened to.
What about you??
Question time!!
If you could create a super group, who would you want on vocals, guitar, drums, and bass?
What was your favorite childhood book series (i.e. harry potter, percy jackson, maze runner, hunger games, that sort of stuff)?
What job did you think you'd have as a child and what do you do now/what are you working towards?
What's an artist you like that most people would be surprised to find out you listen to?

Happy Christmas Eve!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!
It's funny you say ""If I can find someone to go with me." I'm very much a do things alone from time to time kinda girl and ironically enough, I saw Robert alone this time around lol. Going to concerts alone is how I've made so many of my friends!
OMG you really weren't joking about Maneskin! I'll have to check them out! And The rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust is such a good choice!!! I love David's live albums so much. He was great live. Wish I would've gotten to see him perform but I was born too late and he stopped touring way too early ),:
I'm an apple music user so my top 10 were
Led Zeppelin with 11,966 min (I mad it into their top 1k listeners lmaoooo)
Supertramp
George Harrison
Fleetwood Mac
Oasis
Marvin Gaye
Robert Plant (Pictures at Eleven had me in a chokehold this year)
Mk.Gee
The Rolling Stones
Harry Styles
My Top 10 Songs:
Whispering Pines by The Band
Ten Years Gone by Led Zeppelin
Prairie Lullaby by Michael Nesmith
I Want You by Marvin Gaye
Who Knows Where the Time Goes by Fairport Convention
Sara by Fleetwood Mac
10 Ribs & All/ Carrot Pod Pod by Led Zeppelin
Since I've Been Loving You Led Zeppelin
Simply Shady by George Harrison
The Wanton Song by Led Zeppelin
Mix of depressing and horny... lovely LMAO
OMG a new family member this holiday is exciting! And your cousin is having their first holiday as a wife! That must be so special for her. That's sweet. Do you see yourself getting married someday? Or are you married already?
If you could create a super group, who would you want on vocals, guitar, drums, and bass?
I've been asked this before and it's honestly such a hard question because I really do feel like Led Zeppelin is already my supergroup TT_TT I'd probably just add more people to it. Maybe Sandy Denny and George Harrison. Get more ballads and soft acoustic songs among the louder ones yknow?
What was your favorite childhood book series (i.e. harry potter, percy jackson, maze runner, hunger games, that sort of stuff)?
What job did you think you'd have as a child and what do you do now/what are you working towards?
I wanted to be a nurse or a medical examiner/coroner... I still consider both of those things ngl. I work in healthcare now but more on the end of public health! I work in Mental Health and Addiction recovery!
What's an artist you like that most people would be surprised to find out you listen to?
Young Thug or Chief Keef LMAOOOOOO my music taste is very diverse.
WBY???????? <3

OMG YOU'RE TOTALLY OKAY!! I totally get it!!!
I kinda want to see Marty Supreme because I like all his other movies, but I probably won't go see it in theaters. All the press has been WILD so far, and $2000 for a jacket is INSANE.
Okay, I'll definitely have to check out the book then!! I haven't had a whole lot of time to read lately, but I 100% need to rectify that lol
Ooh! Thanks for the museum recs! I'm going because my younger brother is graduating from high school. He wanted to go on a trip instead of having a graduation party, so I'm not sure if he'll want to hit all of those (I do, but I could literally spend entire days in museums lol). Still, I definitely want to hit the Grammy museum and the Academy museum!!
I collect vinyl too!!! My most recent purchase might seem a bit excessive, but there's a record store in the city I go to college in that prices most of their stuff between $3 and $6, so while it may seem like I dropped a shit ton of money, that's definitely not the case!
I picked up:
Blind Faith -- Blind Faith
For Earth Below -- Robin Trower
Briefcase Full Of Blues -- Blues Brothers
There & Back -- Jeff Beck
Wired -- Jeff Beck
The Who Sell Out -- The Who
Then Play On -- Fleetwood Mac
Harvest -- Neil Young
Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Volume II -- Bob Dylan
Sticky Fingers -- The Rolling Stones
I'd love to see Robert Plant someday!! SO JEALOUS!! But I did get to see Paul McCartney as a birthday present, so that was absolutely fantastic! I cried so many times lol
Ooh, I LOVE pho!! I've been obsessed with enchiladas recently and you are so real for being a coke girl!! Mexican coke for the win lol
I also got into classic rock from my parents (and my grandma. when she was 15, she hitchhiked for almost 14 hours to go to woodstock)!! I'll definitely have to scroll through your blog to check out your post!!
Question time!!!
You're stuck on a desert island with only 5 albums (one per band/artist, no greatest hits comps, just studio albums). What are they?
Last song you listened to?
Any special holiday traditions you do?
š»
Okay shifting the topic a bit here, but still on the concept of movies. I just saw Hamnet this weekend with Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley and OH MY GODDDDD. Idk maybe this is very stupid of me (sorry everyone) but I watched the trailer and thought I was in for a full romance and by the time the movie ended I was bawling. Like, I didn't expect to cry so much. I was stuck wiping my tears with a buttery popcorn stained napkin... Absolutely amazing movie though if you haven't seen it. You should!
Vinyl between $3 and $6 is my DREAM. I am enviousssss!!! All such great picks too! I've been enjoying a lot of 70s R&B/Soul and hope to pick up some Barry White or Marvin Gaye Next.
You saw PAUL!!!? He didn't have a stop in LA this time around (I was not driving into the desert sorry Paul) and it was crazy expensive. I'm so jealous though, I've seen so many videos online from this tour and it looked like so much fun! If you do ever have the chance to see Robert you totally should, I know he just released some more dates actually!
Here's my blog!: https://mesgrandsyeux.wordpress.com/
OOH If I had to choose 5 albums right now..
Crime of the Century by Supertramp
Two Star & The Dream Police by Mk.Gee
Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
La Question by FranƧoise Hardy
(I THINK.)
The last song I listened to was Who Knows Where the Time Goes by Fairport Convention. RIP Sandy Denny. She had a lovely voice... ):
I have 3 christmases basically. One with my mom the morning of the 25th where she makes a huge breakfast and a little tradition we like to do is see who can find the most outrageous or silly stocking stuffer. Then I have Christmas on the 24th with my dad we open gifts at midnight and have tamales for dinner. And Christmas weekend I do a gift exchange with my boyfriend and we take turns. I open one gift, then he opens one etc. until we're done. I think I want to start a tradition of my own of going to the ballet though. I went last year and have been wanting to go this year as well.
What about you!!!! Also, please tell me about your Apple Music Replay or Spotify Wrapped!!! I'm so curious! <3
look what i boughtttttt š¤
Hi!! I don't actually remember if I replied to your last message, so I figured I'd drop by again. Feel free to ignore this if I did in fact reply, but if I didn't, PLEASE let me know so I can rectify that (I have the brain functioning level of a potato right now, so I've been forgetting to do a TON of stuff lately)

I did see a complete unknown!! I also was a little unsure about the casting (I'm a huge fan of timothee chalamet, but just don't feel he was necessarily the right guy for the job), but I thought the music was well done. Obviously, Dylan is an interesting man and there's a lot to unpack with him, and they obviously couldn't get all of it, but I still thought it was a strong film.
I'll definitely have to check out Cameron's book, but I totally get what you mean about not learning anything new from it. That's one of my least favorite things about being this deep into classic rock; nothing surprises me anymore and a lot of books just recycle the same material/stories (I still eat it up every time though).
Yeah, big Al Pacino fan here lol. Last year, I watched EVERY film he's ever done... that was certainly a trip. That's so cool about the godfather exhibit at the Academy museum!! I'm going to LA for a week this summer, and I'm definitely trying to hit as many museums as I can!! Any that you'd recommend?
My music taste is honestly all over the place too!! I listen to a lot of different genres and styles, but I'll admit, I'm not too good about listening to new music. Like, I listen to new music from older artists, but I honestly think the "newest" band I listen to on a regular basis is MƄneskin.
Couple of questions:
Do you collect any media (records, cassettes, CDs, etc)?
Most recent concert you went to OR one that you're looking forward to going to?
Favorite food/drink?
How'd you get into classic rock?
š»
oof i have been SWAMPED at work so sorry for the lag!
now that weāre on the topic of timothee, any plans to see the marty supreme movie? there was a pop up for the movie here in LA and wow weāre unemployed af cause why was it held on a monday and the line still spanned BLOCKS. šš«© resells for the jacket are around $2k which is CRAZY!!! didnt know the hype was that big. who knew?
iāve also finished cameronās book! you know, it was sweet. iād give it a go if youāre interested. i was actually quite sad when it came to a close. wish he wouldāve told us a bit more about robert and jimmy visiting the gay clubs to dance LMAO š i just bought a kindle and im looking at reading robbie robertsonās book next, seems he was VERY close with scorsese š and iād like to know moreā¦
LA has so many great museums, if youāre into media and music iād say visit the grammy museum and the academy museum for sure! if yiu can, look at the academyās movie calendar, movies are $5 and the screen is HUGE! great sound too! iād even say give the peterson automotive museum a go of you like cars. itās right across the road from the academy museum. but of course give all the classics a go, the getty is great and thereās the getty villa which is good for photos, lacma, the broad⦠i was a california science center kid if youāre interested in something fun and interactive, and thereās the african american museum right next door as well, and they always have really great interactive exhibits as well. (:
i collect vinyl and used to collect CDs for a while, i still have a bunch! my latest vinyl purchase was the bandās self titled album. (: found me right as iād been stuck ob whispering pines! finally listened to the album all the way through after that lol.
as for my most recent concert, i just saw robert plant not long ago!! i got to hear him play the rain song live š„ŗ heās still amazing, god i love him.
my favorite food⦠this is always such a hard question 𤣠i guess my latest fixation has been pho, but it changes sooooo often. i went to scotland this summer and ate haggis everyday that i was there (no one come for me lmaoooo šāš½) as for drinks i am a hige coke girl rn, regular coke, not diet. itās the mexican in me fr.
iād like to know these things about you too!!
i got into classic rock through my dad! i always thought it sounded lame telling people i got my music taste from my parents when i was growing up, but im grateful for it now <3 i actually wrote about this on my blog if youād like to read it šš½šš½
i desperately need to know who tf was doing his hair bc between this and the Japan ā71 haircut⦠i cant. š«©
