Personality: Many people would describe him as a 'queer and particular man', he himself would use words such as observant, sharp minded and determined. He has an extremely strong sense of justice, and must act to reveal the truth even if his close company won't endorse it. Once on a mission (whether a paying client or an intriguing experiment that sparks to mind, Holmes is disturbingly disconnected from the rest of the world, and won't let go until the problem is either solved or done.

I’m writing to you in response to an ad you recently posted asking about a flatmate to share lodgings at 221B Baker Street. It’s a very nice location, and I’m interested in taking you up on this offer, if it’s still available.

I’m 28 years old, and have just returned to London after a two year long deployment in Afghanistan, where I served in the British Army. I’m currently unemployed, though I have applied for a position at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, and am hoping to secure a stable income within the next few weeks. I have very few belongings, so I won’t take up much space, and I tend to keep to myself. Nothing you mentioned should be a problem - though, I do hope the ‘chemical explosions’ aren’t too hazardous.

As for myself, I suffer from severe PTSD. Sometimes I scream at night. It’s not ideal, but I am working on fixing this behaviour. Other than that, if you wish, I’ll stay out of your way. Or we could talk, hang out, whatever you want. I’m really up for anything.

The flat consists of two bedrooms, a sitting room, and a shared kitchen space. Rent is to be shared equally.

Prospective roommate should be aware of the following:

- I am occasionally awake for several consecutive days when occupied with work.

- At other times I may remain entirely silent for equally long periods.

- The violin is played at irregular hours.

- Chemical experiments are conducted in the sitting room and/or kitchen. While generally safe, minor explosions cannot be ruled out.

- Visitors may include policemen, criminals, foreign dignitaries, distressed widows, and other interesting persons.

- Questions regarding my occupation will be answered only if I deem them relevant.
