Truth 1: You can not harvest what you did not sow my friends. Truth 3: What you harvest will not be different from what you sowed. In other words, if you want a good harvest, sow good things. You can’t sow hate, bitterness, anger etc and expect to reap joy, love and peace. If you’ve down lemons how can you possibly expect a bumper crop of oranges. We want God’s blessings but won’t pray, won’t praise and won’t worship. If you want a different crop then start sowing different seeds in your life. There is such joy to be found in knowing His Word. Whenever I’m in doubt, feeling insecure or just need guidance I go to His Word. His Word is the map, gps system, SIRI, ALEXA, of my life. His Word speaks to me, directs me and protects me from all hurt, harm or danger. This is a truth I know, I did not read it in a book, nor is it a truth I just heard about. His Word, will shine light into every dark place, it will illuminate the spirit and bring peace to the heart. Read the Word, Hear Him Speak! Live the Word, Watch Him Work! Take time out today to ponder this truth, “Christ Jesus came”. I love that, He came for me, He came for you, He came for anyone who realizes his/her need of Him and accepts Him as their personal Lord and Savior. This is the simplest, yet most powerful sentence we could ever use when sharing the Gospel with others. He came for us, He left heaven for us, He had one assignment and that was to die so that we may live. I praise and thank Him for coming for me, where would I be if He had not come. Thank you Lord. Everday we are presented with the opportunity to choose Him over all else. Those of us who have accepted Christ as Savior have the privilege of choosing to live lives that are pleasing to Him, lives that are a reflection of the Christ that dwells in us. We may not get it right all the time but that’s ok, He’s not looking for perfection, He blesses our efforts. We are living in a time when there is suffering all around us, we are surrounded by those that are broken and in need of Him. They need us! Choosing to serve, choosing to believe requires us to live out what we believe and be the light in this dark world. Choosing Him goes far beyond sitting in the same seat every Sunday, attending Bible Study, singing in the choir etc, choosing Christ means being about the Father’s business. It means being a servant committed to telling somebody about Him. Be blessed my friends and bless somebody else!#thechoiceisyours

I am so glad that I have the peace of Christ available to me. The things that we see happening right now would lead you to believe that this chaotic mess is all there is, but that’s a lie straight from the pits of hell. Our Sovereign Father left us with access to a peace that surpasses all understanding. That’s the type of peace that leaves folk wondering what’s up with you when everything all around you is tore up from the floor up. When we let peace rule we are empowered to walk away from the chaos and the confusion that the world creates. When we let peace rule we are able to forgive and move on, when we let peace rule we can enjoy the abundant life Christ died to give us. Let peace rule today! Doing good is not difficult it is what happens when we obey Jesus’ command to love our neighbors in the same way we love ourselves. I pray our hearts remain full of compassion toward one another without a Harvey, an earthquake or the tragedy of senseless killings. May we continue to do good no matter what! When we wait on the Lord, we are waiting with the expectation of what He is going to do what He says He will do. We don't wait in idleness. While we're waiting we are consistent in our prayer life, consistent in our study of His Word and consistent in our worship. Waiting on Him means that we are absolutely confident in His ability to deliver us out of our circumstances. When we wait on God, we kick our emotions to the curb and rely on the truth that our soul knows about Him. Waiting on God simply put is called FAITH!
