ΟΧΧ ΦᨡΧΧ Ο ΧΧ κͺΧΧ tΧΧ κͺ±ΧΧ β¨Ο ΧΧ α₯£ΧΧ Φͺ Where I currently live, it's Harvest season and that means celebrating the harvest festival called Pongal; that brings two things to mind - images of luscious paddy fields filled with crop heavily laden with grain and this delicious rice-and-lentil Risotto, sweetened with unprocessed sugar and riddled with Cashews and Raisins tempered in clarified butter, named after the festival it's significantly associated with. It's so deliciously sweet, fulfilling and warming, and it's this beautiful golden color like the rays of the morning sun it's made in honor of. And there's the inspiration for today's palette. Week 3 of the Serenity series and instead of simply doing a fill-in this week, I wanted to dust off my Mandala drawing skills. Here's to making more art that makes the soul happy! If you're reading this, I certainly hope you are safe and doing well. This is how my altar looks this year, for Yule. It looks so cozy to me, I'm quite proud ππ π

Didn't feel like changing my altar cloths to red, since my lasts ones are singed and covered in wax lol. I already made a witch bottle, sitting near the front, and on my pentagram, my cauldron with dry herbs and whatever else I've offered lately sit surrounded by whole cinnamon sticks, coinage (all Sacagawea dollars), to manifest abundance and healthy financial prosperity. There's also some rosemary, pine cones, a few leftover branches from a pine tree my coworker said they cut down, my crystals (all of which have been recently juiced up by the rays of the kindly Moon, Herself). I've lit candles, specifically redβ€, greenπ, and whiteπ€, just to get those correspondence colors rolling~ π―β§
Cooking and tidying up during times like these makes me feel whole. I decided not to go too heavy on the food, and just made Atlantic salmon, green beans, potato+bacon, and rice. I'm only one small gal, so these leftovers will be tended to. Some pomegranate, and my spiced hot cocoa for dessert should close this evening out perfectly. I'm going to let all these candles burn out before I relax completely. This year I thought of trying out that stovetop potpourri thing I've heard so much about. It's a great way to make your kitchen smell like applesπππππ
