Sean McFluffins!!

Game Night has to be one of my favourite episodes of the entire show. Season 5 as a whole was great, but this is one of the absolute highlights.

I have been openly bisexual for over a year, and honestly, I had a similar enough experience to Rosa Diaz. Especially when coming out to my parents.

The “it’s just a phase” argument her parents gave was a bit of a gut punch to me. When I came out to them, mine hit me with “you’re too young to make these kinds of decisions”. And then when I came back with my full confidence, they needed a moment.

Eventually my mom came around, but my dad wasn’t as openly supportive as her. It’s understandable from the parent’s perspective as well, some are very traditional or all of this is new to them.

I love this episode because it highlights so well how people who truly love you will support you for who you are. And the final words from Holt in this episode nearly brought me to tears because I got so much comfort from it.

It’s such a beautiful episode and makes me feel very well-represented.

This scene might be one of the most important scenes in the whole episode, maybe the whole season if you want to be generous.

Seeing Knife, KNIFE of all people be the one to crack. To finally show weakness. This scene hurt my heart to watch, and not just because he’s my favourite character.

He held all that together in front of Suitcase. He’s always had to be the strong one, ever since Cobs. And that’s why him finally breaking is so impactful.

And let’s not forget the scene with SUITCASE.

Just to keep her safe, he’s willing to never see her again. To never get the chance to talk to his best friends in the world, the people he DIED for.

And if this doesn’t show how far he’s come as a character, I don’t know what does. The old Knife would’ve laughed at her and mocked her for being weak.
