Golems are humanoid creatures found in Jewish mythology. Golems are large, humanoid creatures usually made of clay and usually had a talisman in it’s mouth or a word etched on its forehead which brought it to life. The Word that brought the Golem to life was “Emet” which means “Truth in Hebrew and if the Golem got too destructive the only way to kill it was to erase the first “E” in Emet turning the word into the Hebrew word for death, “Met”. People usually created Golems to help with tasks or be the guardian of a town; however if the Golem didn’t get what it wanted, it got violent, destroying everything in its path until stopped.
