something paranoia inducing (but funny) under the cut

Obviously ch5 had a bunch of stuff that more-or-less confirmed the conflict between kris and their soul as being (at least on a metaphorical level) an internal one (which will be resolved via mutual love and communication rather than the "righteous revenge of kris upon the player" as the wider fandom imagined), so im not surprised y'all have been having a (deserved) victory lab about that. But im shocked that i have barely seen mention of the fact that noelles monologue basically boiled down to toby directly addressing the viewer and saying "yes, dissociation is a main aspect of the story and i am using the medium of a videogame as a way to express and externalize disconnect from the world and oneself"

I mean, give me some time. I always need time to emotionally recover from Weird Route content.

But just on initial reaction; yeah, you're right. Noelle describing her longstanding neuroses as;

* It feels like... I've just been watching myself through glass. * Watching someone else move me through my life.

should REALLY call into question any interpretation that views the player's control of Kris (and, consequently the conflict between the SOUL/parts of Kris we control and the parts that we don't) as entirely literal and diegetic.
