Alter traumatizes retail workers
Remnants Pt 2
And probably the last. . . For now
Part 1
It took me like a month to paint this one HAHAHHAHAHAH. But I managed to finish it
Expect a change of style whenever I get to do the next part which is more like an epilogue. I guess
Mischievous adult teaches his adopted arachnid child to misbehave
One of those comic ideas that I work nonstop until it's finished. Not healthy. . . But it happens. . .
Happy Halloween!
Thought about splitting this one in half but I've waaay to much shit to schedule so here's the whole thing. Enjoy

Fromsoft fans be like “This studio reliably makes “the same game” every time but with marginal changes to mechanics that improve upon the successes of preceding games, or they experiment with an increased focus on a previously underutilized mechanic. They have found a gameplay formula that works and have iterated on it effectively to explore a diverse selection of concepts and settings in a way that’s challenging and enjoyable. While the basic mechanics and some story elements remain broadly similar, more recent games in the series should not be thought of as some lazy rearrangement of their predecessors, but refinements to a core vision, made possible by the knowledge those predecessor games provided. This is an admirable approach to game design that more studios should emulate with their respective niches, and would contribute to a higher standard of quality in gaming overall.”

Defeating a boss:
Defeating a boss when you know the lore:
Every so often I’ll try to peek into fandoms for other video games/shows/movies and see if they’re worth joining and….ugh.
I’m not gonna lie. It just makes me feel so lucky to be apart of the Soulsborne fandom in general. I have been here for years now and I have never felt the stress or strain of classic fandom toxicity the way I do when I spend only a day or two trying to rummage through other fandoms. Negative fan behavior and strife has literally kept me out of so many other online communities. I rarely feel secure anywhere else.
But Soulsborne? Sure, we have the stuck-up git gud crowd that doesn’t understand what git gud really means, we have bitter casuals that spam the most overpowered weapons until those weapons get nerfed and then they start screaming, we have some occasional lore disagreements that usually involve something to do with old men and their dolls, we sometimes have sibling-style fights over the second Dark Souls game that lead to some pretty intense verbal exchanges, though the second a FromSoftware hater gets involved, everyone teams up and roasts them for daring to diss any Dark Souls game because how dare you.
But that’s about it. Ship wars are almost nonexistent/extremely tamed, there aren’t fandom morality teams, there aren’t flocks of raging teens attacking voice actors or writers, there aren’t internet-viral horror stories about the utter madness of gatekeeping revolutions or bullying campaigns, etc..
It’s just chill and full of good memes and people that would be considered clinically insane if they ever casually said the things they say when discussing lore intricacies. No girl, you can’t explain to your neighbor why you believe that consuming three umbilical cords, killing the moon, and ascending to squidhood is the best possible option to choose when trapped in a world enslaved to The Cycle, but you absolutely can say that here! Let’s talk about it!!
Hell, we even have dozens of stories and anecdotes about how Dark Souls helped people through depression and anxiety. I mean, Solaire exists. Japanese artists draw some of the cutest chibi art of him and other wholesome characters as though we were in a fandom for kids. Or rather, how kid fandoms were meant to be. Ha.
Oh and, speaking of artists? The content creators in this fandom? You guys are literally some of the most talented people I’ve ever seen. The streamers, the artists, the writers, the lore freaks, the data-miners, the musicians, the comedy crowd, the illustrators, the comic/zine creators, the meme lords? This community thrives on these people. We are drowning in content every day thanks to them!
I just love it here. It’s like my Firelink Shrine. A safe little haven full of weird people that are actually my friends. I’ve gotten through some of the heaviest points in my life thus far with undeniable encouragement from these damn games and the community built around them. This is what fandoms were meant to be, my friends.

happy new year!!
Okay, but why are we never talking about the fact that Soulsborne games are CHUCK FULL of disabled characters and they never get reduced to their disabling traits? We even have old guys in wheelchairs with a minigun in Bloodborne who can kill you in seconds if you aren't paying attention. Sekiro is about a guy with a prosthetic arm and he's not even the only one with a missing limb in there. Gehrman has a peg leg and we can see him limping in his boss fight. The Maiden in Black and the Dark Souls 3 Fire Keeper are blind and seem to never be bothered by it. I just like this fact a lot.
Demon's Souls: Everything went to shit because one guy was power hungry. Dark Souls Trilogy: Everything went to shit because the gods wanted to stay in power. Bloodborne: Everything went to shit because humanity tried to ascend to become gods. Sekiro: Everything was already shit, but hoo boy, you better would not have abducted the one the Shinobi wanted to protect. Elden Ring: Everything went to shit because family drama.
Hot take, but the pop culture “git gud” mentality of the Dark Souls fan base isn’t what the Soulsborne games are all about. At all.
These entries are all about overcoming tremendous obstacles despite everything against you, and the will to continue despite facing all of the odds stacked against you.
They’re about learning from mistakes and continuing despite your failures.
They’re about maintaining hope in the face of fucking Armageddon.
The Soulsbourne games are beautiful in the way that they convey if you keep going despite everything that tries to beat you down, you’re going to come out even stronger for sticking with it and overcoming.
4 Types of Soulsborne Bosses
1. Giant Beast
2. Giant Beast with sword
3. Ancient Supreme Power: Destroyer of Worlds (easier than you think)
4. Some Dude w/ weapon (will kill you a thousand times before you figure out how to get them to half-health)

You know, one thing that makes the Soulsborne games so great is the fact that your character is an absolute nobody. You are not supposed to be some godlike being with powers beyond measure or the one who is fated to do great things. Sure, Dark Souls 1 has the Chosen Undead, but it becomes revealed quickly that the Chosen One trope is a farce and so it gets completely subverted. In Dark Souls 2 you are simply the Bearer of the Curse, just one of many who suffer from the curse. In Dark Souls 3 you get told straight up that you were the last they could ask, because you are the loser of the losers. In Bloodborne we play as some unlucky random person who got wrapped up in Yharnam's affair. In Demon's Souls our Slayer straight up gets enslaved to the Nexus out of sheer desperation of the Monumental. And in Sekiro we play as a single Shinobi, who can't take on a whole army himself. So he makes defense to his greatest offense and uses stealth and dirty tricks. Which leaves the Tarnished, the one who is played the most straight. Elden Ring has this amazing opening movie and we get to see the six Tarnished who will probably be the main bosses of the game and... ...one another... Our player character. Here is the thing. It was never meant that our character should win. In fact, in Soulsborne all odds are AGAINST our character. It is the fact that DESPITE everything they win, that is the theme of these games. Our character has only one thing going for them... They can't die. And therefore, only giving up is when they lost. It's a theme of overcoming, a theme of persevering, a theme of fighting a battle that should be unwinable, but isn't. You just have to try it again and again. And that is what I love about these games.
