Myself & @diaryofalex had been swimming/shooting for about 45mins in the 12Β°C Atlantic, my legs were cramped up & energy was low. Overconfidence pushed me to sit on the inside to capture this image, it was the first and smallest wave of the five wave set, about 5 seconds later the other four larger waves pushed me up the beach right near the rocks. Being washing machined by powerful waves is humbling, but being low on breaths and trying not to panic is when life gets real. Cramps were hindering my swimming ability, turbulent rip tides draining my oxygen and my mind cleared pretty quickly when I realised I went into survival mode, it happened quickly and I feel stronger for the experience. I ended up washed up on the beach with a camera full of images ππΌ π http://ift.tt/2jHYjKu
