To Live Will be an Awfully Big Adventure

Well, that’s the usual course of events, my friend. [chuckles] But I would hope that the woman I marry is one of my best friends and if that is the case then our marriage would be a never ending sleepover. [smiles]

Marriage just seems so very stressful.  And so very grown up.  Personally, I’ve decided that there is no room for that in my life because I’m already too old for my liking, and the best way to not turn out like an annoying grown up is to not bring in silly things like marriage.  But, if you feel that it’d be fun then... that is your opinion.

What is there to even apologize for, I suppose neither of us have done anything wrong.  We’ve just been completely ignoring one another for nearly a year.

I don’t think of it as ignoring, Wendy.  I think of it more like we both have huge responsibilities now that we’re parents and our kids take up more time.  If I were ignoring you, I would have told you before I started ignoring you that I was going to be ignoring you.  And I didn’t.  So I wasn’t.

Au contraire. If said tattoo takes all day, then I could go to London just to get a tattoo. But what will likely happen is, get there, get the tattoo, then eat dinner or something, and have a drink at a bar, or three. [laughs]

“Three drinks at one bar?  Or one drink at three bars?  Because the second one sounds like there’s more options to stumble upon an adventure, which is the best way to start one.”

Was I just supposed to know? 

 You made yourself pretty scarce, Peter. 

The same way you expected I was to know.  Through the power of mind reading, obviously.

Does anyone want to take a day trip to London? I am itching for another tattoo. 

If you go to London, you can’t use all day just to get a tattoo!  If you make that trip, you need to spend it doing all sorts of adventures.  And getting a tattoo doesn’t count as one.

Did you know that in Ireland, Leap Day is the one day of the year that a woman can propose marriage to a man? [chuckles] Maybe I should take a trip there. 

Why would you want to get engaged though?  That means you’d eventually get married, and that does seem so very depressing to me.

Its funny how things work out that way.

You know you’re always welcome. You could’ve called and come over any time. 

I suppose so.

I’ve been good just too busy! I got a job at the psychologist’s office..I’m working with her until she retires which hopefully isn’t too soon!! The girls have been growing like weeds and they’re talking up a storm, both of them really. Jane’s a little quieter but chatty none the less…. 

I’m surprised we haven’t ran into each other like this sooner. Town’s so small after all. *shrugs a little* 

That’s amazing, Wendy!  I hate I haven’t really gotten to see either of them.  But, I figured that with both girls, it might be a little hectic with me just randomly stopping by and throwing another two year old into the mix.

How have you been!?

It has.  Our birthdays, I think, were the last time we spoke.  And between Gavin and school and the holidays, I’ve really just been keeping busy, it seems.  But... you.  How are you?
