The move into their new place had gone smoothly, and of course Ed was not only eager but insistent on leading the charge on the unpacking process, but they had already mostly worked out the organization of their new apartment in a fair way. He didnât have much by way of actual personal belongings any more, but over time, Lucius had managed to procure with him a few pieces of new furniture and the like to make it feel more like he lived there too, not just visiting.Â
There had even been some time to settle down and simply live in the space. It had been quiet, mundane, domestic, and⌠nice. Â
Ed sat in his side of the office, making notes as he poured over a stack of books he had come home from the library with earlier that week, expression intent, lips pursed, rubbing his temple as he thought whatever it was he was working on throughâŚÂ
âŚa sudden quiet beep from his watch brought him back to reality, blinking as he quieted it and reached across the desk for the prescription bottle. Â
Things were, in theory, going fantastically. He had even started to see a therapist of his own accord and he hoped to Luciusâ pride. He wasnât sure it was helping, but give it time, is what he kept being told.Â
When Ed set his mind to it and tackled something, it was incredible to watch. Lucius had been amazed at the progress the man was making with âreformingâ himself, in both routine, and mind. It was something to be proud of, for both himself and Edward.Â
Returning home after a shortened day at work, Lucius went to find Ed. Lately, heâd been taking to his private office with a stack of books, coming out to cook meals, converse with Lucius, etc. As long as there was still progress being made, it was perfectly acceptable.Â
âEd?â He knocked gently on the closed door. âI knocked off a bit early today. How about I make you some lunch?â
