I'm literally just some guy into P&T and I made some cringe decisions in the past (ain't like that anymore). I don't frequent this blog often, but if you need to talk to me or find me, for whatever reason, my personal is this.

That is really disappointing. I do have to agree with you on the wishful thinking angle, it's a possibility as the guys might just not be aware and maybe they could change it once they do catch on... Obviously, I can't speak for how it happened, but I just hope it's that too. Or genuine lack of awareness as to why it's harmful, both to the environment and obviously the people who actually do real work in the industry for a living.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm on the steady line of normal and average. I have a few personal concerns, but primarily, I am quite alright.

To add more meat to this answer, I guess I can mention my precious baby and light of my life, Winston, my dog, recently underwent surgery for his leg and seems to be recovering well. He's turning 10 next Monday (29th of September), and here is a recent photo of him:
