“Anna dear, hurry up!! You’ll be late for the movies!!” Vivian calls out.
Anna arrives in the kitchen as she’s catching her breath. She’s clutching on her bag.
“Silly girl, what took you so long, you aren’t usually this late.” Her foster mother crosses her arms, slightly smirking.
“Sorry Miss. Grace, I wasn’t sure what book to pick. I was hoping to go to the park after the movies to read.”
“Oh? You don’t usually read over there.”
The eleven year old shrugs. “Just nice to go to a different environment.”
Confused, Vivian let the matter go and headed back to the kitchen. She’s sprucing up pancakes for her guests and enjoys the toasty scent dancing in her nostrils.
Mustang and Hawkeye are already dressed in their military uniforms and had already eaten breakfast. Their team stayed behind to study over the cases and paperwork.
Anna runs past them and is about to head out when Roy interrupts her.
“Anna, would you like us to give you a ride?”
“No thank you, Mr. Mustang. I’m perfectly fine walking.”
“Well to be frank, Anna. Regarding the recent crime wave, we feel better if we drive you over ourselves.” Roy insists.
She mulls over Roy’s offer for a moment, then makes a decision. She nods her head yes.
Roy smiles. “Perfect, the Captain and I are all set to go.”
