On Monday, February 13th, at the Borough Council meeting, Detective Zachary Walsh was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Walsh was hired by the Mountain Lakes Police Department on July 15th, 2013. After attending and graduating the Morris County Police Academy, he was assigned as a patrol officer. During this time, Sergeant Walsh also served at the department's Public Information Officer, traffic officer, terminal access controller (TAC) officer and passenger safety technician. In August of 2021, Sergeant Walsh was promoted to Detective, where he served until this most recent promotion. Prior to joining the Mountain Lakes Police Department, Sergeant Walsh was a division 1 wrestler at Bloomsburg University, where he graduated with his BA and MBA.
