#so collect your scars and wear them well#i find dean’s objectification absolutely fascinating#he’s dead and we’re still talking about how beautiful he is#no shade to the op#since they really did make a deliberate choice to film his corpse like a blood spattered ken doll#and it’s genuinely so interesting to me#so i have to roll my eyes when i see comments about “shallow” fans#you can’t divorce his looks from his character when they’re an intrinsic part of him#when they shape the way he’s perceived#when he’s thematically so often a body before he is a person#when there’s awareness of that in the acting writing and directing#these are some of my favorite themes#and it goes without saying that you don’t tend to see them with male characters (via @alaynestone)
