The whole point while your feet are on this rock in space is to express. It is to feel. It is to be. It is to do. It is to love. And whatever that means to you, is completely yours and nobody in this world should have any say in taking that away from you in any way. That is the one thing you should never allow in your lifetime to be taken from you: The freedom to be yourself.
