Livestream Experience: the Hosts, the Escape, and Seizing
This was rotting in my drafts for a year, I haven't been bothered to finish it but I'm still happy with the theory so here's the rough draft anyway.
A post on DMAORG explains the concept of "seizing".
The top left corner deciphers to say "SIEZE KEONS", and the text at the bottom says: "Seize available vessel / at Voldsøy eastern cove / intercept bishops / glorious gone = available vessel / bishops control the available vessel! / intercept and seize / they will make you a weapon". There's a stamp that says "DEMA / SACRED MUNICIPALITY OF DEMA / UNITED VIALISTS". And finally, Greek text under the left most diagram that says "ĎĎ ĎÎŽ κίνΡĎΚĎ", which translates to "psychokinesis" or "mind movement".
In the livestream experience, Dan and Sally are hosting. In the credits it confirms that Dan is Lisden and Sally is Sacarver.
(under the assumption that a vessel can be seized if its not completely dead - part of the soul still remains) - unsure abt this part, bit of a plot hole

they are fighting back - repeated words: sally and dan repeat certain words back to each other in the breaks; "escape" is a cue. she then begins reciting "no chances" lyrics - a song considered Not part of the dema propoganda. Tyler is obviously curious about this based on his reaction to it while watching her on the TV.
alarm goes, bandito perimeter alarm? triggered by sally's cue? tyler not surprised because he heard the cue and expected it.
Colour has been a prominent part of twenty one pilots pretty much since the beginning. During the vessel era, there were some hints at how significant colour would become - especially with the guns for hands music video and the vessel era logo.
From Blurryface onwards, the colours being used became very intentional and a significant amount of meaning was put behind them. This was seen all throughout the branding, music videos, performance outfits, live show visuals, etc.
Here is what I've been able to gather / theorise about the colours twenty one pilots uses and what they represent:
Red
The main colour for the Blurryface album and era. This was seen everywhere: the album cover, Tyler's beanie and tape on his fingers, every part of branding. The deep voice in songs is blurryface's voice, and Tyler has red eyes in the music videos, representing BF (his voice / control). The bishops wear red as they embody blurryface. Red represents what blurryface represents. It's theorised that the two red circles (ride + stressed out) on the album cover were those songs because they are the two most popular and controlled songs, blurryface had the most "control" over those songs being released (leaking, etc.). Red is mentioned in songs throughout albums, e.g. "rebel red carnation", "that shade has turned to red". The original logo had a red "/", same as the BF era logo.
Orange
The colour appeared in the heathens music video, where orange is a bridge between red and yellow before the Trench era after Blurryface. Orange hasn't been a prominent colour in an era, but it has been lurking around. Tyler has an orange beanie that he wears, there's a photo of Tyler and Josh next to an orange part of a phone booth (that they intentionally edited, as irl it is red), there's little bits of orange in the SAI branding sometimes, etc. Orange could represent a transitional colour in general, but it was likely a one off for BF -> Trench.
Yellow
#FCE300 is the hexcode of a yellow shade that the bishops cannot see. The colour represents banditos, yellow is a code for freedom from the bishops / blurryface. The banditos wear yellow tape on their clothes as a symbol to other banditos. The colour also appears in the eyes of whoever or whatever is experiencing a psychokinetic link (moving with the mind). A ritual in The Outside's music video and in a DMAORG post shows how this link can happen, and how one person can control another. This doesn't necessarily mean yellow means control - since red already has that role. While being a code for freedom, yellow may signify influence, which would line up with it being one of the three main colours in SAI. Trash's yellow flames could be the reason the banditos wear yellow, since Trash has been influential in the Trench world and has helped the Tyler (Saturday MV, whether it was his own control or not).
Interestingly, this kind of yellow is very similar to pure chlorine. "Straight chlorine" would presumably be shown this colour, but in the Chlorine MV, it's shown as a blue colour. There are some interesting theories out there about why this might be, but I won't go into them here.
Green
Green hasn't had much of a symbolic role yet, but it has been one of the main colours of the Trench era. Green is worn by banditos, as a kind of uniform. The textured green camo print was the banditos theme, emphasising on them hiding out in Trench, with yellow highlighting their cause.
Blue
Blurryface tweeted back in 2016 that blue is a sign of defeat, and to wear it on stage is a sign. Whether it's still a sign or it was just for that one time - the meaning remains. In Scaled And Icy, blue is one of the three main colours of the era. Part of SAI indicates a defeat, likely hinting to the anagram Clancy is dead - whether this is real or propaganda is another theory though...
Circling back to Chlorine - pure chlorine is yellowy, and when chlorine made for pools is put into water, it dyes the water a light blue. In the Chlorine music video, the liquid is shown to be blue rather than yellow.
Pink
Pink is a diluted, whitened red. Josh's powers shown before the livestream started show him turning three objects pink, before beginning to transform a Trash model, but ending up turning Tyler's hair pink by mistake. A theory I have is that pink represents control. Tyler's hair being pink this era shows he is under Dema's control, and that the twenty one pilots experiences (livestream, cinema, the album + songs themselves) are all products of Dema, which has been explicitly stated "controlled by DMAORG". Josh turning Tyler's hair pink would connect to other theories about who this version of Josh is, which I might make another post about. Red being close to pink would show blurryface's / the bishop's control "behind the curtain" (like red being diffused through something). Pink (control) and blue (defeat) have been the two main SAI era colours.
Black
Black on Tyler's hands / neck has represented his insecurity around creating with his voice and hands. It's a physical manifestation of blurryface. Black has also been seen painted on skin in the livestream, where Sally and Dan have black painted on the lower half of their faces around their mouths, like a mask. The theories around why this is would be a separate post, but the representation of the way black is a manifestation of restriction and control is clear. Tyler is smeared in the Jumpsuit MV with black on his neck, heavily referencing black neck / hand paint from the BF era and what it represents.
A worthy semi-update to this post will include purple. After this post was made, many references to purple have been made throughout the rest of the Scaled And Icy era. This first came with live shows of Heathens being shown a lot on the band's social media pages, with green and purple lights being used. Then, Tyler wears a shirt with a purple butterfly on it. The butterfly represents a new era, and the purple colour is commonly used to represent dark thoughts and the darker side of meaning in twenty one pilot's music. It's known that the next era will be much darker than SAI, and will be most similar to Redecorate in terms of sound. Because of these hints, the next era is likely to be a much darker and emotional purple era (maybe secondary colours are pink, green, or even orange? not too sure).

To build on some points talked about in the video (about ending the cycle), I'm not sure the cycle will end. The story so far has taken us almost full circle, and the next album will complete this cycle, but not in a way that breaks it. Breaking the cycle in half was what SAI was all about, but there is a balance to be found with this. Peace will win and fear will lose, but also they're always going to be competing, and there is never a true end to the cycles this story is commenting on. So, I think the final album will complete the cycle, bringing us full circle to the reason this music was made in the first place.

This makes it feel like "the whole thing was a dream" or in Tyler's mind. I theorise that this is true to an extent, in that this is what the bishops want you to believe. Because of the escape, the bishops want you to forget, and think that it was never real.

Adventure Time: Links Between Real Elements, Tarot, and Personality Types
In summary, these are the relationships between each element, the real life elements they respond to, and other associations:
Firstly, the parallels between the four elements in the show and the four elements in real life.
In the present day of the show, the candy elemental is Princess Bubblegum, a powerful and dominating but genius leader of the candy kingdom. The element air (in certain contexts) represents intellect, the mind, and the potential for great strength and power.
Fire is a simpler one, as the associations of the element in Adventure Time and the associations of the directly comparable real life element of fire are quite identical. Flame Princess, the present day fire elemental embodies concepts of passion, ambition, and energy. These themes are directly consistent with what fire represents outside the show.
Ice is a complicated element in Adventure Time. It's a very solid and strong material, shown constantly being used to create shields and protective domes over the magic users that create ice. Ice King creates his fortress out of ice for protection. This protective and stable representation of ice in the show links it to the real element of earth, which represents stability, resilience, and a foundation for growth and rebirth (especially relevant for the IK). The ice elemental around during the show is Patience St. Pim, who hardly appears compared to Ice King but still carries the same themes. She comes into the show out of a crystalised ice dome, and then returns at the end of her appearance. This is a cycle of rebirth, as well as evidence of stability and physical strength (of the ice dome). All linking back to what the element of earth represents.
Finally, slime in Adventure Time is shown in a relaxed and emotionally sensitive context. Slime Princess, the current slime elemental, is well known to be very affectionate towards the other characters and has a sensitive personality. The real element of water is associated heavily with emotion and other reflective concepts. The passive and liquid nature of the slime element itself shows other parallels to the element of water.
Next, the tarot parallels, which links nicely with the four elements discussed above.
Candy is the element of air, which is linked with the tarot suit of swords. Swords represent power and intelligence, and how the two must maintain a balance, with the possibility of being used for good or evil. Princess Bubblegum struggles with this balance herself as a leader of a kingdom and a science genius. Those two areas dominate her personality and the candy kingdom is founded on those two concepts.
Fire is consistently the same element, and is linked with the suit of wands. Wands represent energy, creativity, ambition, and determination. This fits in with Flame Princess and how the flame kingdom functions.
Ice is the element of earth, which in tarot is linked with the suit of pentacles. The suit of pentacles concerns physical matters, such as health and finance, as well as self-image and ego. It relates to how a person can create, alter, and transform their situation. This has strong parallels to Ice King, as he is struggling with his self-image after slowly losing his memories, and his efforts are evident in the way he shapes his surroundings trying to cope with his reality.
Slime is the element of water, linked to the tarot suit of cups. Cups represent the emotional side of life, love, and connections. Slime Princess, as mentioned before, is a very affectionate character and expresses love towards other characters quite often.
Finally, the personality parallels.
In one of Uncivilized Elk's youtube videos he discusses the links between the four AT elements and the four temperaments or personality types according to Hippocrates in ancient Greek texts. These four types were related to bodily fluids and how those affected temperaments. These temperaments and their associated personalities are as follows:
Sanguine (sociable, optimistic)
Choleric (excitable, impulsive)
Melancholic (thoughtful, moody)
Phlegmatic (peaceful, passive)
In reality, each person could be a combination of these or purely one type (being equally all four would be considered well balanced and healthy). Adventure Time takes these the extremes of those four temperaments and translates them into the four elements.
Candy, and the friendliness and outgoing nature of Princess Bubblegum, matches sanguine. It is considered an extroverted and stable temperament, consistent with how the candy element affects the citizens who get transformed into candy. Additionally, the four temperaments are each associated with an element, and sanguine is associated with air.
Fire is easily consistent with choleric, which is associated with impulsivity, energy, and aggression. This is clearly seen when the citizens and Flame Princess are transformed into the fire versions of themselves and are driven by the irresistible urge to fight. Choleric is an extroverted and unstable temperament, also associated with the fire element in real life.
Ice is depressing and slowed, consistent with the temperament melancholic. It is contemplative, passive, and accepting. When the citizens are transformed into ice (including Patience St. Pim in her new form), they find little resistance to a depressing acceptance of their fate. This temperament is introverted and unstable, and is associated with the element of earth.
Slime is the relaxed and content element, matching the phlegmatic temperament. Again, the transformed slime citizens are motivated by this, seeking a peaceful existence by being assimilated into Slime Princess, who embodies this passive state. Phlegmatic is an introverted and stable temperament, and is also associated with the element of water.

There could be an interesting pattern here. Blurryface was released 4, 5, 2, 6, 3, 1. and SAI is 1, 3, 2, 5, 4.
This is probably a stretch but the SAI order is reverse of BF, except SAI doesn't have the 6th music video in the middle. With how much reference to BF SAI has had so far, as well as the frequent mention of cycling / looping, this could definitely be intentional. The 6th song could be removed because it's "breaking the cycle in half".
Never Take It is the 6th track on SAI. Whether this theory points towards NTI being the final music video, or that it was removed from the music video list to make a point of breaking cycles is not completely clear. This just definitely seems like a pattern.
This is Keons seizing a vessel (maybe Trash, maybe some random person) to plan the attack on the sub, and the chills would be the sensation of possessing the other body, and the breath is the breath of the seized person. This could also reference Trash's fire breathing and when Keons seizes him.

The body Keons is seizing has a time limit. As seen in the livestream, seized vessels decay after some time. "The game" is the state of possession, which the body "wasn't made to play".
And then I saw him, torch in hand
He laid it out, what he had planned
The Torchbearer. This is the meeting between the leader of the banditos - Josh the Torchbearer - and Keons. The Torchbearer lays out his plan ("the Torchbearers plan" mentioned in Clancy's letters).
And then I said I'll take the grave
Please just send them all my way
Keons offers to sacrifice himself, knowing that his possession of Trash will end in him being killed by the other bishops. The bishops are being sent his way, rather than the real bishops being on the sub (referencing the Clancy letter again), allowing Tyler / Clancy to escape.
Keons sacrificing himself technically makes him an available vessel so he can be possessed later on by Tyler / Clancy, all as part of the plan. An intentional sacrifice.
I began to understand why God died
In Christianity, God (through Christ) sacrificed himself to save humanity from their own sins because of his love for them. Keons empathises with this as he is sacrificing himself for the banditos to save them, presumably because he's found affection for them and their cause.
Blasphemy: "I want to be alive when you see my eyes", when a vessel has been seized, their eyes turn yellow. An available vessel is one of the "glorious gone", who are dead. "Can I see your eyes?" also hints at this.

Self Titled
Trapdoor: "Throws on a mask that will alter his face, nobody knows his real name, but now he just uses one he saw on a grave," this could be referring to Tyler becoming Clancy - or maybe Clancy becoming Tyler. With "Clancy is dead" this would address those inconsistencies. Tyler and Clancy have become one person this era, meaning one has taken the other's name - suggesting they died ("saw on a grave") or have in some way left the story. Briefly, I thought this section could refer to Nico and the Nicolas Bourbaki group being the grave he got the name from, but the rest of Trapdoor wouldn't really support this too much. "Everyone gather round for a show," in the livestream experience we watched Tyler / Clancy, as he "disappears as we know," because of the identity confusion and warped reality of the whole thing.
A Car, A Torch, A Death: "And then I saw him, torch in hand, he laid it out, what he had planned," (Josh) the Torchbearer has a plan, as Clancy explained in a letter. A car has been very important in the plot line as well, with cars overall representing a journey through life / the Trench story effectively - the HDS / Jumpsuit car. This foreshadows a death. Whether that is Clancy's death, Keons' death, or someone else that is unconfirmed yet (Trash, Tyler, Dema itself, etc.) is not certain yet. Another post I made goes into a theory that ACATAD is written from Keons' perspective.
Isle Of Flightless Birds: Not too much to say here but all the lyrics about flying, plummeting, finding purpose and picking battles has connections to Trash, vultures, Vialism vs bandito messages possibly.
Taxi Cab: Again not much for this one but the involvement of cars is always a point to mention. Being a more religious song this one is very metaphorical but some literal interpretations could link to the lore. The cars (hearse, cab) and the passengers / drivers using maps, driving towards the morning sun (sun rises in the east...). There could be a layered story in here about escaping Dema.
Regional at Best
Forest: The forest setting links a bit to the Trench setting. "Down in the forest, we'll sing a chorus," hints at the banditos camping out in the hills of Trench with their own small community. "Does it bother anyone else that someone else has your name?" sounds a lot like the Clancy / Tyler name thing that has been going on in the SAI era.
Glowing Eyes: Literal glowing eyes indicate a seized vessel. "I'm holding onto what I know, and what I know I must let go," could be in reference to learning to deny Vialism and join the banditos' cause, needed to let go of what you know. "But I would rather play a song for the eyes to sing along," really sounds like Tyler / Clancy in denial of this, hence the livestream and the struggles both of them (together and separately) have had with escaping Dema permanently.
Be Concerned: "I am disappearing inside my bird's eye theories," a couple things could be pointed out here, the reference to bird's eye view which is very prominent in terms of maps, compasses, and a lot of lore being figured out from DMAORG and so on. This could also be referencing an actual bird's eye though, like the yellow vulture eye, and other significant imagery to do with eyes. Also, "theory" in general is so incredibly relevant to everything. To be disappearing inside this could be relevant to the identity confusion around Tyler / Clancy, or possibly even us theorists getting lost in the lore - this is likely a stretch though. "Clearly, I am dying, dearly I am writing," relates very well to Clancy's journaling and possible death, with his writing being such a huge part of DMAORG and other plot. "So break my life and take this rhyme," would refer to the bishops mentally breaking him by extracting the content they needed for the livestream / SAI album, taking his work, his "rhyme". Also, Level of Concern could definitely link to this song somehow, still unsure, but how often are these things coincidences?
Clear: The entirety of this song could be about Vialism. The ideas of preaching the message link to the propaganda and glorification in Vialism. "I wish that I had two faces" could be a precursor to Blurryface splitting into the 9 bishops, apparently each with different methods of manipulation (as an example, Nico is "yelling on the street corner", and Keons is "cleverly masking your words" - if you ignore Keons ending up betraying the bishops). "I take my face off at the door 'cause I don't know who they will take me for," could be Blurryface hiding behind the 9 bishops identity. The second verse has so many instances that describe the infection that Vialism is. The religious undertones of the original message of the song make it easy to interpret as Vialism, with the mention of manipulation, a new "Father", the message being "crystal clear" if you dig deeper, and more. The final message "I will tell you what I can, but your mind will take a stand" is interpreted as someone spreading their faith and facing resistance, like the bishops with Vialism and the banditos.
Vessel
Ode To Sleep: "But I'll tell them, 'Why wont you let me go? Do I threaten all your plans?'" Is Tyler / Clancy being trapped by Dema for their propaganda because he has been a threat to their plans through DMAORG, banditos, etc. "I have set my soul on fire," this references the soul fire in the neon tubes that the bishops protect. So many little points that reference the plot; the talk of plans, anticipation (a lot of this in the rap), "what have I become?" as in Tyler / Clancy morphing and cooperating with the bishops for the livestream, and the weaponisation of a pen just like Clancy being given one to write for Dema.
Holding Onto You: "I'm taking over my body, back in control," like after being seized or under Dema's control during the beginning of the SAI era. "Before you know it I'm lost at sea. And now that I write and think about it and the story unfolds," is literally the beginning of The Outside music video and Clancy's letters writing about it as the story unfolds. "You should take my life, you should take my soul," also happens in The Outside. Keons' life is taken, and Tyler / Clancy takes over him, his life, his soul, by seizing him. "Remember the moment, you know exactly where you're going," possible hints at the memory loss Tyler seemed to have when morphing with / becoming Clancy. "Time is slowing and it's frozen still," more hints at manipulating time.
Migraine: During The Outside music video Migraine plays. The island Voldsøy means violence island, which links to "Behind my eyelids are islands of violence," and "I did not know it was such a violent island". Also, "My mind shipwrecked," would be the shipwreck in the Saturday music video. "I begin to assemble what weapons I can find," would refer to the seizing ritual performed in The Outside music video and the DMAORG post that titled the ritual as "weapon". "We should take a moment and hold it and keep it frozen," again refers to freezing time.
Car Radio: "My lungs will fill... with fire," mentions fire breathing, but instead of exhaling fire they "exhale desire," meaning fire breathing may have a very specific purpose or meaning. Car radio is also referenced in future songs, when it has been replaced.

We're all very familiar with the skeleton and alien symbols, where the skeleton represents Tyler and the alien represents Josh as well as both representing the whole clique. However, a possible connection between these symbols and Norse mythology has been noticed (the Pop Song Professor does a brief video on this, including who discovered this connection).
This is a Norse vegvĂsir. There are a couple variations in details depending on which one you look at, but these don't really impact this theory.
The most noticeable similarities between the clique symbols and the vegvĂsir is the top middle left symbol with the circle at the head (kind of resembling the skeleton symbol), as well as the reoccurring three lines crossing the stems of some symbols. Some less obvious visual similarities include the E symbols on the heads of some symbols, resembling the East is up symbol, as well as the FPE symbol overall with how the stems cross through all the elements on them.
The meaning of the vegvĂsir is literally "way pointing", and is said to guide even when the way is unknown. It embodies ideas of protection, safety, direction, stability, and finding one's way. Norse mythology describes 9 realms in the universe, where the different realms host different creatures and lands with similarities to the concepts of heaven and hell in other cultures. It is theorised vegvĂsir may also represent these 9 realms, with Midgard, the realm of humans, at the centre.
9 is a very important number in twenty one pilots lore, and the concepts of realities and dimensions is still being figured out with Trench and Scaled And Icy taking place in the "invisible" world of Trench. The comparison of vegvĂsir to a compass brings it even closer to Trench, possibly as an inspiration for Tyler when creating this universe.
Another detail is that protection is one of the themes vegvĂsir embodies. The multiple lines on the symbols, especially the left most symbol almost look like it's "doubled up" on the outer lines compared to the E shapes on the other symbols. This seems incredible similar to the Trench era logo, with ||-// having the additional bars for extra protection. This part may be a stretch, but overall vegvĂsir could easily be another source of inspiration Tyler has taken from historical myths, symbolism, and all that stuff.
