I’m going to declare it 100% officially canon that Mortimer enjoys men’s fashion not because of the clothes, but because of the men in the clothing advertisements and the fact that he’s gay as shit. Does he know this? No.

The number of sailor uniforms Henry had to wear in his movies grew exponentially with the duration of the 1930s. He hates them. He hates every single sailor uniform.  Mortimer, however, gets a cruel satisfaction from how adorable he looks in them. It has become a little bit of a deluded fantasy, Henry in colorful blues and bright whites on the porch of an candy-pop New Orleans mansion. 

Thinking of making an ic sideblog for Mortimer for the days that I’m too low-spoons to actually write. What do you guys think? Would it still be possible to interact with him?
