Alright tumblr here’s one of those Meet the Admin things, or whatever they’re called on here….
I’ve been dressing in plague doctor outfits since I was 14. I’ve also been officially active in the steampunk community since about that age. I love tying the two together and most of my plague doctor outfits and photo shoots are steampunk themed. This is my first ever plague doctor outfit:
I have gone from using a cereal box as a mask to using crafting foam. Which is what you have been seeing in my posts:
I have been to some steampunk and victorian events in my lifetime and have even been asked to perform as a roaming entertainer at a steampunk themed gala:
I move a lot but I have lived in a National Forest off and on and I try to take advantage of my environment for photoshoots:
Now for who I am behind the mask….
My name is Victoria. I’ll be 21 in November. I’ve been active on tumblr off and on for about half a decade. I’ve never been very active much. I made this blog because I could tell quarantine would be quite awhile and so I thought it’d be a fun way to pass time, even though I know I won’t be active everyday considering I am an adult with multiple things going on in my life despite social distancing. I am Persian and Sicilian and I was born and raised in Southern California. The only thing that changes more often than where I live is my hair color! I’m in school to be an embalmer. I have been obsessed with ancient Egypt since I was about 10yo. I enjoy science and anatomy immensely, as well as marine biology and astronomy. I love cats and birds. I love all things spooky and Halloween. I’m not ready to do a proper face reveal on here yet. I want my followers to be bc they enjoy plague doctor content and not just a collection of creeps bc of what I look like.

Since I am only 5’2”, I have worked as a mascot for the Aquarium of the Pacific and Knotts Berry Farm (here is a parade and meeting James Marsden):
I have also volunteered for a year with avian husbandry at that aquarium:
I am also on the volunteer team for Midsummer Scream and enjoy haunted houses and Knotts Scary Farm (the haunt community is incredible and I’ve grown up around it all to the point I call them family. The scare actor scaring me in this photo is actually a really good friend of mine) If you go to any haunt events in SoCal, there is a high chance we have met.:
I am also a freelance SFX MUA in my free time. I also draw but I rarely enjoy when people buy my art, it’s more of a hobby rather than a job:
Like I’ve expressed, I am a big fan of steampunk. It is difficult for me to visually live that lifestyle however. I have a hippy heart and a punk brain. I play fife, bass guitar, piccolo, flute, ukulele, spoons, washboard, piano, and violin (in order from most knowledgeable to least). Music means a lot to me and my favorite music genres are glam metal, hardcore punk, ska punk, industrial metal, punk/swing/murder folk, and classical. I enjoy going to concerts and exploring the world through anything from a road trip to a community event. Here’s a pic of me last month while I was on a roadtrip across 8 states:
