"It is our own mental attitude which makes the world what it is for us. Our thoughts make things beautiful, our thoughts make things ugly. The whole world is in our own minds. Learn to see things in the proper light."

Aside from death, the closest you can ever come to absolute freedom would be to discard everything you own and avoid all contact with living beings
You can never have absolute freedom

Claudia may resent Lestat because he turned her into a vampire. But really, Claudia’s becoming a vampire was more Louis’ fault than Lestat’s. Louis practically killed her (whether or not he meant to), and Lestat saved her life by making her immortal. But Claudia forgives Louis and not Lestat. Why, you ask?
You can argue it’s because Louis is “good” and Lestat is “evil,” but Claudia is a hell of a lot more evil than Lestat. In the books, Louis says she is more brutal and “less human” than both him and Lestat. Also, (especially in the books) Claudia finds Louis’ “mortal sentiments” stupid and annoying. She doesn’t have a problem with Lestat killing innocent people, unlike Louis, and she basically tells Louis to stop being a wuss.
If you ask me, Claudia’s “daddy issues” are definitely Oedipal. Claudia feels a strong emotional and sexual attraction toward one parent (Louis) and views the other parent (Lestat) as a rival. Yes, I’m sure she really is resentful that Lestat turned her and Louis into vampires and she really does blame him more than she blames Louis, but her hatred for him also has something (or everything) to do with the fact that Claudia is in love with Louis (which is explicit in the film and book), and Lestat is Louis’ partner/husband of 40+ years.
The real problems with Claudia and Louis’ “relationship” is that 1.) she’s a little girl, or at least perpetually trapped in the body of a little girl and 2.) Louis is her father, regardless of her age. But Claudia sees Lestat as another obstacle keeping her and Louis apart and keeping the two of them from being happy.
After she poisons Lestat, slits his throat, and hides his body in the swap, Claudia tells Louis she did it “for us.” Yikes.
