Asi’s Artful August challenge!
Day 1 - Draw one of your OC’s in bed!
Day 2 - Draw your favorite pet (or animal) in a cute little outfit!
Day 3 - Draw your favorite character reading.
Day 4 - Create a fairy tale landscape.
Day 5 - Draw a dragon guarding its treasure!
Day 6 - Experiment with color! Pick something to draw and change the regular color of it to something else/
Day 7 - Draw a couple (fighting or in love, doesn’t matter, just make sure that the emotions are THERE.)
Day 8 - Draw your favorite candy.
Day 9 - Draw a fallen hero.
Day 10 - Re-create your favorite memory!
Day 11 - Draw hands in different poses!
Day 12 - Now draw some feet
Day 13 -Draw lots of trees! Lots and lots of trees! A forest, yeah, draw a forest! Make sure to work on the mood of the drawing. Is the forest tranquil? Scary? I don’t know, but get the point across!
Day 14 - Re-draw whatever you made for Day 4, but this time fit an OC into it. See if you can recreate the same mood for the landscape, and to get your OC to fit into it without it looking weird.
Day 15 - Work on anatomy muscles fam, you can never work too much on anatomy.
Day 16 - Now work on facial features. Draw infuriated, devastated, confused, and enlightened. Try to stay away from the main feelings (Sad angry, etc) and dig DEEPER.
Day 17 - Create a dark alley, and like with Day 4, really get the mood across. Maybe it’s scary, or just quiet.
Day 18 - Draw your favorite super hero in their prime!
Day 19 - Work on foreshortening, because boy oh boy, that can be hard.
Day 20 - For all you pokemon Go nerds, draw your favorite pokemon! For all you COOL people, draw an alien from a different planet and TRY NOT TO MAKE IT LOOK H U M A N.
Day 21 - Re-create a screen shot from your favorite show. Again, capture the mood. P L E A S E.
Day 22 - Take your favorite lyrics/verse and make an illustration out of it
Day 23 - Re-create a page from your favorite kids book.
Day 24 - Draw what you think you’ll look like in 10 years.
Day 25 - Draw something that you’ve always been afraid of (Really capture its essence, unless you were scared of something like Bob Ross idk. But if you’re scared of heights or something, make the cliff/ladder LOOK scarier than it would actually be.)
Day 26 - Work on shading because man that too can be very hard.
Day 27 - If you can, follow along to a Bob Ross painting. If you can’t….well…follow along with it but with a different media. If you can’t do that….RIP
Day 28 - Draw a family portrait! Doesn’t have to be your fam though!
Day 29 - Draw somebody else’s OC because why not?
Day 30 - Focus on a reference picture, write down AS MANY NOTES ABOUT IT THAT YOU CAN, then re-create it without looking.
Day 31 - Make yourself a cool little “CONGRATS” banner because bam you did it.
