What’s wrong with everyone?

Of course we want to help him, but a lot of us can’t get over the initial shock of what he’s done to all of us just yet. A lot of us were really publicly humiliated. And it made us very, very sad. 

I don’t see why you were worried about blending in. I mean, you’re no different than Finn and Sam, and most of the other guys around here, actually. How did you deal with it? All of that loss? My mom was my whole world but I can’t imagine literally losing my whole planet and somehow coming out of it being better for wear. Hayley would probably insist that she’s got the best pie, but there’s no fun in only hopping to one diner. Brittany might know a few places so I’ll have to ask her. But all of that sounds fun. I say bring it all on. Whips and everything, but only after we’ve made sure you know how to use one. I really don’t want to have to explain to the people in the ER how you managed to lose an eyeball.

I don’t know, there’s still a lot I don’t know that Puck has to talk to me about. I don’t know. I was trained, as a warrior, to know loss. Of course, I didn’t really fit into that whole mold, and grieving happened, but as long as I can make other people smile it alleviates that pain for me. There’s nothing I can do about the nightmares, but after the initial shock I just kinda kept on going. True. Brittany knows the best places. She’s gonna take me to China! Okay! Just call me up when you wanna go! 

You’re welcome. But I think you underestimate the power of the suitcase. You should ask Hayley to build you one. Just don’t fall in the chip dip. Trust me. It’s terrible.

You really have a suitcase that big? Would it even fit on an airplane? What would I want with a shrink ray? Being that tiny would be scary!

Disgusting? Someone’s been paying attention in English. It’s my mission to help Devone get what he wants and get him to where he wants to be. As a warrior of his, it’s my duty to fulfill that. Ruining the lives of others is… its… the point is, they’re not my concern. That’s what you all are for.

Devone’s mission is a load of crap! And terror! Terrible crap! It’s your duty to be a total jackass? Right. Well, they should be! If you have a brain, or a heart, you should care. 

That’s right, you and Kitty were on Nexus as well when everything got destroyed… I guess I sometimes forget that you guys came from another planet instead of just being normal humans. And that you’ve endured worse than just losing a home or a family member. Kind of puts what I’m going through into perspective. Non-sad adventuring sounds good to me though. I do like wearing interesting hats, and occasionally striking hero-like poses for fun. There’s a costume shop downtown that sells cool stuff, I bet we could find you a whip there. Are you sure you know how to work one of those things?

Yeah, it’s all water under the bridge now, I guess. Not much we can do about it. Oh! That’s good! That means I’m blending in well! No, Marley. This isn’t one of those I had it worse deals. I know how it feels to lose your home and I know no matter on what level--planet or otherwise, how tough it is. Good! We can go diner hopping and find the best pie in all of Reefside or something! Or we could go see a really bad movie and then remake it using just ourselves and a sock! Or something else, you can pick. I have no idea how to work a whip, but I did learn how to use a variety of other weapons, so it shouldn’t be that hard to figure out!

Well thank you. I have to deal with my grandparents first and whatever that’s going to involve, but an adventure sounds like a nice distraction. Syria told me that occasional distractions during a crisis are a good thing.

Not that I’m bragging or anything, but I’m pretty good in a crisis. And hey, I kinda know what you’re going through, being another person who’s lost their home and stuff. But we don’t have to do anything sad, or talk about fond memories while we adventure. We can be like that Indiana Jones guy! Although I don’t know where we’d find a whip. 

I might be messed up, but unlike a lot of you, I’m at least being honest with you all now. The same can’t be said for others on your team I bet. I’m looking forward to the next time I do see you, though. I’m sure whatever you try to do will be a good laugh for me, and I do remember you saying you liked to make others laugh.

You’ve hurt a lot of people, Liam. I know we were never really great friends to begin with, but this is just stupid. There may be some of us who can take it, like Santana and Puck, but you’re gonna screw up a lot of people and I can’t believe you’d willingly have that on your conscious. You’re disgusting. 

You have anything to worry about, Ryder Lynn. It’s clear now I won’t be at Reefside next year so unless someone really wants to copy my work, no one should take your clothes. That was more of a one time thing until I could cause some real mayhem as the Green Warrior. Isn’t that a relief?

You did it?!? You’re the Green Warrior? You did all that humiliating stuff to all of us? Are you kidding me? You better not be in Reefside tomorrow, or else all of us would see to it your butt is thoroughly kicked. I can’t believe you can even sit here and have this conversation like a normal person,  like you haven’t ben the biggest jerk in the world! You think this is fun? You’re messed up, Liam. If Devone doesn’t kill you, don’t come crying to us for help when you get bored of pretending you’re having fun working for a literal demon. 

Thanks, Ryder. I haven’t really been feeling up to hanging out with anyone, but I appreciate the offer. I feel bad that I haven’t really seen anybody in the last week. Maybe I should try to actually get out Dr. Oliver’s house for change.

I think you have a pretty good excuse for not wanting to see anyone right now. If you do decide you want to go out, we can totally go somewhere fun and have an adventure! 

That makes sense. So then having your clothes taken sounds like it was a great thing to happen. I heard lots of people laughed at you then, so let hope next year you get to do that again. Assuming your house doesn’t get destroyed again.

I want them to laugh with me, not at me... I hope it doesn’t happen again next year, I would be all sad again. Yeah, let’s hope it doesn’t. That would be some really, really bad luck. 

You’re a smart man, Ryder Lynn. Do you think there’s a policy on packing people for college?

Thanks, Britt! No one’s told me that before! Probably. Mainly because I don’t think they make suitcases big enough, and as far as I know, shrink rays aren’t a thing yet.
