I lowkey headcanon that Skye and Deadlock are like the trope of that one popular girl who is like best friends with an unpopular girl. Because Skye has a billion friends and is friendly towards everyone (unless your name starts with K and ends with JOY or your government name is Sabine Callas) and Deadlock has like... her and maybe Iso, Clove and Breach.

I don't ship them personally, though I know it's popular. I think Deadlock is just attached to Skye because she reminds her of her old teammates. Platonic bonds can run as deep as romantic ones, sometimes deeper, and I think people don't realise that, or they don't value friendships as much. I feel like she sees her as a sister, too. I believe they have a sisterly bond. I don't know if you can see what I'm getting at, but I guess the main takeaway is I don't see it as romantic love but sisterly love.

side note from the last memes post (i think) - i lost like ~3kg in a month but my strength is going up so yeh. i TRIED to cut energy drinks but nahh instead i cut all the soda from multiple cans a day to about 1 coca-cola no sugar 3 times a week (after work). do i feel better? no because my stupid love handles and pouch are still there 😠. they're slimming out, though. it's a lot easier to eat less than more for me personally. i hate eating #foodhater

none of the older members begrudge them that. most of the older members remember having a life, being able to make mistakes, the unfairness of it all. they've had years to get used to the fact that life wasn't fair, and that some of them brought this upon themselves.

but the younger members, a lot of them were exposed to this young, a lot of them were pulled into this by the older members' mistakes, others were pulled into this with powers they never asked for. they never had the chance to be normal, to be children. they were born into a life that was unfair from the beginning, and only now were they beginning to see that. others were probably never quite told what exactly they were getting into and now that they're here, it's too late to back out-- they're needed, because their mirror is running around.

whatever the case, whenever the older members hear the younger agents mumble that none of this was fair, especially later when sage's condition is known and that the reality of permanent death was real--
