Misunderstanding. A Neon & Chamber backstory

В моменте мне стало очень грустно, что Риот вбросили в нас интересную предысторию Чембера и Неон о их конфликте в Кингдом, но очень удобно забили ради другого токсичного сюжета.

Like, in most infections/plague/whatever settings, if the bite or infection point is on a limb, then they'll usually cut it off before the infection reaches the heart. This is a very common trope in zombie media and MLP infection AUs even if the effectiveness is determined on a number of different things. But, since we don't know how the Radivores work other than "Veto is infected," and "Gekko is possibly infected based off his arm patterns when using Thrash," let's stay in a fantasy based mindset for now rather than scientific. We don't even know how Veto mutated, apart from the fact it was a giant octopus looking creature. I think it's implied to be a Radivore, so I'm gonna go with that.

We can see the weird bioluminescent patterns on Deadlock's skin when the bear is biting her, but they go away after the bear and her arm it was latched on to is disintegrated, or whatever happened in that chamber. (erm actually it was a disembodied voice that made them disappear but I'm gonna assume that was pure willpower for the sake of dramatic effect and did not have a biological impact on the spread of the Radianite)

like imagine that you are the oldest person in the entire protocol-- you imagine dying first, or at least before some people.

but then the people start falling, people young enough to be your kids. your healer, a decade younger than you, dies because she brings people back, and every time she does it cuts into her a little more.

your second-in-command, dead because she'd flown too close to the sun, or maybe she flew at it just to feel something as hot as her rage.

your daughter figure, too smart for this world, too good for it, too young pulled into a war you never started but kept perpetuating, dead because you pulled her in, didn't you?

everyone is dying, liam byrne, and when the war ends, when the ashes settle, what will you have?

you went into this thinking you would die because you're the oldest.

now you're just the only one.
