“Thank you,” he smiled at her. “That is awesome, though. So I have a good teacher,” Michael winked. He never really had that chance to go out and go skating. His dad wasn’t much of a family man and his mom was busy with work, leaving him and his sister to a babysitter when they were younger, at least until his sister was in high school. Getting a better sense of his balance, he was able to move a little smoother and glanced over at Morgan. “That’d be fun,” he grinned and nodded. “I think I’ve a hang of it now! Look I’ve got–” Michael said before slipping and falling. Laughing he shook his head. “Well. I almost got it…”

Doing new things with Michael was nice, granted ice skating was slightly dangerous but she would make sure he was safe. Eventually he began to get the hang of it, at least enough that he didn’t need to hold the wall and Morgan smiled just before he fell and she laughed softly and covered her mouth. The blonde reached her hand out to him, shaking her head. “Come on then, lets get you up and we can skate for a few more minutes then go warm up with some cocoa.” 

Michael moved slowly with her, as he was not quite used to being on skates yet. But he managed to move a few feet over without falling over. “I’m doing better than I expected,” he grinned at her. “So you’ve done this before?” he mused, seeing how this was so easy for her and it came more naturally. “But of course I’d do this for you, I love you and I want to do this.”

“You are, you’re doing very good with it.” Morgan nodded, watching him as she moved over the ice slowly but gracefully. “I have done it before yes, I used to skate all the time when I was little when the pond would freeze over behind my families estate.” morgan always loved the winter, ever since she could remember it had been her favorite time of year. “next date we do, we go to something you like. deal?”

“I like your idea better,” Michael grinned at her. Laughing softly, he walked with her onto the ice. “Yep, let’s do this,” he nodded and found his balance, using his free hand to hold onto the wall next to them, letting go when he could stand up straiter. “Okay, I think I’m good. Shall we?” he gave her a nod and started to slowly move across the ice.

Morgan got into the rink with him, she waited with him until he got his balance and she gave a small encouraging squeeze to his hand and she smiled softly at him. “Yep, lets do it.” She told him, very slowly she began to move her skates with him and she kept her eyes on him. “We’ll go at whatever pace you need, you just let me know. I love you for doing this with me.”

“Of course,” Mike winked at her. He toed off his shoes, switching them with the skates. “Mmm, thank you,” he said and kissed her cheek again. “I’m such a lucky guy,” he grinned, after getting their shoes in the bag, he led her towards the entrance to the ice, holding her hand in his. “Ready?” Michael grinned, looking at his girlfriend brightly. 

“Nah babe, we are both lucky to have this chance.. to be together again and do this again the right way. In every aspect.” Morgan winked, she smirked a little after and looked at the ground before squeezing his hand. “Absolutely, lets see what kind of skating skills you’re working with.” She teased, tucking her hair behind her ear.

Michael smirked at her as they walked together. “I like the way you think, babe,” he said and kissed her head. “And you know I’m always up for dessert,” he winked. After they picked up their skates, he looked around for a bench. “It’s been so long since I’ve done this,” he shook his head laughing. “So I apologize if I fall over a lot.”

“I was hoping you would agree to that.” Morgan grinned, her teeth very gently and barely grazed over her lip. Taking her skates into her hand she moved with him to the bench he spotted, taking a seat beside him to begin to lace her skates. “I’ll help you, baby. We’ll take it slow and if you fall i’ll help you back up.” She promised him, placing both of their shoes in a bag.

Michael smirked at her. “Touché,” he mused, getting out of the car himself and met her on the other side of the car as he fixed up his coat and took her hand after locking up the car. “Let’s go get our tickets and skates,” he said, walking with her towards the admissions booth. After paying for their tickets, he walked with her to wait in line for the ice skate rentals.

Morgan smiled, she pulled her gloves over her fingers once she was out of the car and slipped one hand into Michaels. The blonde nodded in agreement to his suggestion, her free hand gently slide up and down his arm. “Maybe we can get some hot cocoa after we’re done skating before we head back to my place for some.. dessert.” 

“Hey, you,” Mike hugged her back and pressed a soft kiss onto her lips. “Ready for that ice skating date?” he asked with a wink. They had honestly been through so much together, it was nice to be able to have another fun day, just not thinking about work or anything else. He took Morgan’s hand and linked their fingers. “You look great by the way,” he kissed her cheek. “Very cute,” he nodded with a smile.

Michael made his way to his girlfriend’s house as they had plans to spend the day together, ice skating. He was dressed for the weather and it was already chilly outside even though it hadn’t started snowing yet. He was looking forward to them spending more time together. They were really developing their lives together already, and was looking forward to them taking those next steps. Even though they still had a lot to learn and a lot to talk about, Mike knew where they were going with it. He knocked on Morgan’s door, smiling to himselff.

Mike watched her. Being quiet was quite uncharacteristic of her. But to be fair, they both had a lot on their minds right now. So maybe both of them had a reason to stay quiet. “Thai is good. Our favorite,” he smiled, remembering their very first date and he pulled out of the parking lot to head to his favorite restaurant in the area. “Anything you want, babe.”

Michael gave her hand a gentle squeeze. “Anywhere you want. I’m thinking Thai or maybe Italian? I have a craving for soup,” he nodded at her. They were just going to take this in, as their more definite answers would have to wait. Everything was happening so quickly, but he knew Morgan loved him and they would figure everything out together. He led Morgan with him out of her house and towards the car. 

“You’re the best,” Michael smiled at her, getting up to grab his clothes from the drawer. It was pretty lucky that he stayed over that much that he had some of his things at Morgan’s house, and vice versa. After getting changed into something much more comfortable and less obvious, he smiled and took her hand again. “I hope you’re hungry.”

“I love you too, baby,” Michael nodded and pulled his arms around her. He kissed her softly and pressed their foreheads together. “Anything for you,” he promised, kissing her again. “I think I left a shirt and a pair of jeans here last time. I’ll get changed so we don’t have to walk around while I’m in uniform,” he told her, slowly getting up.

Michael nodded. “Of course,” he said. He’d do anything for her, hell, he’d protect her at all costs, just like before. He knew the consequences of what had happened, and what could happen but Morgan was worth all of it. He smiled and nodded. “Perfect. We can go to dinner, pick up some of my stuff, come back here and put on a movie that was can watch until we fall asleep.”
