Corrina McLaughlin Scott - CENTRAL CAMPUS - The Silas Campus was once again plunged into chaos late this afternoon when a semester-long intelligent fiber-optics experiment designed by the Silas University Alchemy Club mutated and ran amok. The experiment, a mycologically-based communications array which the Alchemists had been growing underground for the bulk of the semester, was triggered when a club scientist measuring the mycelial matrix fell into the primordium and was swallowed whole.

According to Bernard Trevisan, Head Alchemist and Master of Transmutation, this set off a chain reaction under most of campus, and a series of sinkholes soon developed, swallowing more unsuspecting students on walkways and in dormitories.

But this was only the first stage of the terror to come, as the sinkholes were the breeding ground for the monstrous troop of mushrooms that would bathe the campus in mind-controlling spores for the next six hours. 

Representatives of both Zeta Omega Mu and the Summer Society have mobilized to remove the problem as best they can, donning gas masks after the discovery that the spores were invasive. “Once those spores get into your brain,” VP Social Melanippe Callis announced for the Summer Society, “You’re probably better off as shishkebab.” Behind Ms. Callis, now infamous sister Danny Lawrence was shrieking as she dismembered a podocarp, and could not be reached for comment.

Actually yes!  I’ve just gotten them developed because I’m too cool to have a digital camera. 

I find the constant barrage of dim-witted interlopers attached to her irritating.  She herself is relatively tolerable when she is not screaming and moaning in the dead of night.  That charm was the best idea I’ve had in a long time.  I value silence, as she evidently does not, if the constant visitors and near-pathological need to record her exploits are anything to go by.  

Things are about to get bloody interesting.

This is a Dracula Daily-inspired project dedicated to bringing the cult classic lesbian vampire webseries Carmilla and its canon transmedia to your dashboard in chronological order.

One of the most charming qualities of the “little webseries that could” was the way fans could interact with the show and characters in real time. This project intends to recreate the magic and allow Carmilla fans new and old to experience the series the way we did when it first premiered eight years ago. So let’s time travel back to 2014 and let the story unfold. Buckle up, Creampuffs!

Remember the good old days when we took a teeny tiny YouTube web series and squeezed three more seasons and an entire fucking movie out of it? With the potential for even more in the future never being taken away from us due to cancellation? Just because we watched it relentlessly, interacted with the actors and creators online (both things that the first kill fans did) and chose to buy one specific brand of pads and tampons for a bit? Yeah, I do.

Friendly reminder that the web series Carmilla features multiple wlw characters and relationships, has trans/non-binary representation, and has many leads of color throughout the show. Is it perfect? Np of course not. But I’ve rewatched it recently and it honestly holds up and it has a lot of the things that I want it entertainment in order to feel seen and actually enjoy consuming it. Also like I said, they left it open for the possibility for more in the future and my hope for that will never die.
