The (very tiny) ego trip I get for walking around with that crew vest and a walkie talkie like someone importantTM and greeting artist coach drivers as if we're old pals.

Also I started my shift with fucking Scooter yelling how much is the fish and hyper hyper a camping space away.

The way some people have an audacity to them.

Got asked by some unfriendly men where they can find the way to the stages. I was wearing my crew vest to not always necessarily show my bracelet and pass through back stage. I told them that, theoretically, they are on the right way but if they continue this route they'll get into areas and routes reserved for crew and vip guests. I further told them they should ask the crew at the next check point for directions because I only know the crew routes. They got so rude and condescending, confused about the fact that crew members have areas to themselves that regular guests can't walk through. (How do they think festivals work?) "Everybody can just put on a warning vest". I again told them to ask the colleagues a few feet ahead of us and myself had to turn around because I had forgotten something in my tent.

Lo and behold, I didn't see them on the crew route they insisted I was wrong about it being a possibility for them. Who would've thunk.

Currently Reading: I picked up TSOA again, but that was a few weeks ago now and i still haven't gone beyond the first few chapters so. I genuinely haven't read anything, even fics in months 😭

Currently Playing: Nothing (but we should have expected that from me)

Currently working on: a series of embroidered ornaments, a embroidered pet portrait, a hand sewn laptop case, a quilt. All of these except for the quilt I'd say are about halfway done, the quilt I am still cutting blocks.

Tagging anyone who comes across this and wants to do this. I don't have many moots and especially not any I'd want to feel obligated to do a silly tag game :P

I sent in some concept posters for review into the theatre group and one girl had the guts to send in an AI GENERATED POSTER all "I asked chatgpt and I think this looks more theatre-y and maybe we can go for something like that" and it's a) the ugliest thing I've ever seen with performers' faces distorted and her own portrait appearing twice directly next to each other, which is something no actual designer would do. The arrangement chatfuckingpt gave her was also not possible to execute in our case because we need space for a small informative text and the ai version - surprise surprise - didn't have that space

b) just blatant disrespect and violation towards the other performers who have not given consent for their faces to be fed into chatgpt's data (HELLOOO??) but also towards my artistic work because I'm very damn sure she just copied my concepts into chatgpt with a different prompt (photographs are the same I picked out and cropped out of like 30 that we took altogether). To give these things to openai and by proxy to the trump administration without asking if we're okay with it is vile.

c) disregard for the no AI principle we work with. She knew we wouldn't use AI posters because the university forbids it and decided to share her criticism by first generating AI slop for me as inspiration. Girl be so fr.

d) a complete and utter waste of resources aka. water for a poster that did absolutely nothing of value.

e) an insult to the creative field of theatre.

The criticism wasn't even bad. I asked for feedback and I'm thankful for her input but I'm furious at how she went about it.

Y'all piss me off so much.

Love how I accidentally became important in a uni theatre workshop because I know art and basic photo editing stuff.

I'm head of design and therefore in charge of creating the posters for the show. Posters that will be hanging all over campus.

All because twelve year old meg made edits of her favorite youtuber on picsart and wanted to learn how to draw better so she could do prettier human my little pony art.

In-presence semester is basically over and you would think i could dedicate my time more intensely to comics now

Alas, I'm crew at a festival next week, I'm in Berlin (again) to see SiX (again) the week after that, I have a portfolio to create for one seminar and a podcast script to write for another one, start and finish my final projects for both of those seminars, birthdays inbetween and that's just July and first half of August

I will inevitably also draw because that's my safe and happy place, I'm just saying I'm seriously booked until August 🤧

Don't fash! Lecture free period is till October! Where I then start to write my thesis
