Secondly, I was wondering if you had any advice for someone wanting to make a comic? And what is your general process going into making a panel/panels? Do you just sketch away or do you script first?

Firstly, thank you so much! Happy to hear you enjoyed the comic! And secondly, I'm stoked that it inspired you to become creative yourself.

As for your question, I personally don't start working on a comic without a script. Even the mini comics you see me do always start out with one.

Typically I like giving a description of a panel, who's shown and who's speaking.

If you're planning in doing a long form comic I HIGHLY recommend starting with a script. That way you can properly plan everything in advance and keep track of the continuity.

Of course, there are comic artists who write as they go, but this is what worked best for me personally.

The only downside to it is that if you're writing for a series that has an ongoing plot, then you run into the possibility of going against canon. In that case I suggest making it very apparent that your comic was written before specific installments, is an AU, or follows its own canon. And in case you got an active audience, they might think that you are writing as you and are able to influence the outcome (totally fictional experience, idk why you're looking at me that way.)

I'd say, try to look for a way to draw that is both comfortable and easy for you. That way you'll have a much smoother time sketching and drawing your comic. Remember to take breaks and draw with your whole arm. Not with your wrist.
