It was Akutagawa's turn to hum in agreement. It was awful... Being so out of control of your own body like that. To just be trapped while horrific creations of your mind came at you and feeling like you would die at any moment. It was much like his experience being under control as a vampire actually. Only those visions had been worse cause they were the reality.
"... I would rather have sleep paralysis than live being a puppeted tool again though..."
Akutagawa didn't seem to mind being held right then, especially since it meant he wasn't dealing with this alone. Hell, this was better than how he usually felt when he recovered from sleep paralysis. Sometimes he would have his sister there to help him as well when she noticed something was wrong but that rare. Once he moved away from being held he tried to ignore how there was a light dusting of pink on his cheeks at what Atsushi says. It was so strange for them to be this gentle to each other and he didn't know how to feel about it.
"Good instincts. You don't want to forcibly try to free someone from sleep paralysis as it will just lead to more anxiety. It's best to just keep their focus as they work on snapping themselves out of it."
There's a light shrug as he says this before turning his attention to the window. Hopefully their target hadn't slipped away during this time. He stared down at the building and tried to smell or hear him. It was so very subtle but he could sense a human still in that building.
"The target hasn't left it seems so we're in luck there at least."
"Yeah... That was a lot scarier..."
It's more muttered, because it's not something he likes to think on for too long. It had certainly been more difficult to snap Akutagawa out of that. And god was it a horrible way to find out the other was actually alive, just to be used. Everything about all of that was so horrible, almost losing everything... Including Akutagawa. Again.
He distracts himself by listening to the mafioso as he finally moves away, and his head tilts a little, his tail swaying about. He made sure to store the information away in his head, just in case this happened again. If...it happened again.
"Right... I'll keep that in mind."
Even if he's...quite sure this would probably be a one time thing with them. Unless the two of them were forced on another stakeout and Akutagawa decided to be an idiot like this again, but he'd really hope not. It's not like they'd ever sleep together otherwise. He can't even imagine that. He's pretty sure he can't. He averts his attention to follow the other's gaze out the window with a soft hum, his eyes gleaming a light yellow.
"I've been keeping an eye out, nothing's really changed yet. Guess that let you have your nap."
