Superman, Clark Kent. The guy who sees good in everyone and beauty in everything, hates you and your existence. So maybe he is bad, maybe he is wrong just by his existence.

Now I know that it's a lot for Clark and was hard for him, I'm not downplaying that, it's just from Kons perspective... that's gotta suck.

in the comics, clark and kon have a very positive relationship. clark swings by hawaii to cheer kon up after he gets bad news (superboy '94 annual #2), offers him the name "kon-el" to signify their bond as chosen family (which makes kon so happy he cries) (superboy '94 #59), and teaches him how to milk a cow (superman '87 #155), among other things. clark even specifies in superboy '94 #40 that he doesn't trust cadmus at all, but he loves kon and will do anything for him. in superboy '94 #70 he even tells kon that he trusts him with his life, and that of anyone who's ever worn the S-shield, he feels closest to him.

like its devastating enough when his friends don't remember him. but john henry? ma kent? clark?

what's he supposed to do with himself now? he has nothing and no one. he knows what he was made for, though. he wants to die a hero. he wants to die a hero. it won't hurt anyone this time because they forgot they love him. why is he here? he's a hero. he wants to die a hero. except heroes are remembered even after they die. what are you when no one remembers you, other than "dead twice over"? and you keep thinking of how unfair it is that the first time you died it hurt everyone you love. and now they forgot you so you may as well be dead. you kind of wish you stayed dead.

so he's not exactly taking it well. and of course ma and clark take it in stride when he shows up at the farm in distress. maybe it's a case of inadvertent dimension travel or something, clark muses, stroking his chin. and kon looks at the notch on the leg of the sofa that krypto accidentally scratched while wrestling on the floor with kon three months ago and says, haha yeah. maybe.

BUT! this time all the discrepancies and all the little things that don't add up? they're the point. kon gets to go to centennial park and point at his statue next to clark and say look. look, i'm real. i lived. you loved me. i died. i'm real. i'm real. i'm real.

and i think clark gets really quiet at that point. and then he's devastated. and furious. because he has a little brother/son/cousin/Little Guy. and someone robbed him of all of his memories of him. he has so few kryptonian family members and someone took one of them from him in the most raw, horrific way possible. they took his little guy from him so thoroughly he isn't even grieving. and isn't that in itself a horror? that there's no grief where he knows grief should be?

and i think kon here just kind of sticks Hard to clark's side at this point. if anyone remembered him or the people he loved, they'd find it odd and notable how conspicuously he's avoiding tim, bart, and cassie. unfortunately, no one knows him anymore, so no one notices. but kon just can't face the complete lack of warmth in their faces when they look at him. and it feels like far too much to explain "sorry, you don't know me, but you're supposed to love me. i love you and it's tearing me apart." so he just needs as much space as he can get.

(there's definitely a subplot of tim's nosy ass going "hey bruce, who was that guy with superman and steel at the jla meeting? what was that about? he looked a lot like superman huh?? hey bruce what's up with that guy? hey bruce what's going on--" and bruce, a paranoid asshole on the best of days, just going "i don't trust him." but tim is a nosy little ferret who will not be deterred and quite possibly pulls bart and cassie in on trying to investigate the guy who looks like superman but isn't superman.)

(however, for some reason, the guy who looks like superman but isn't superman seems to want absolutely nothing to do with the three of them. isn't that weird??)

Q: Does Akashi always cut his own hair? A: That was the only time. It’ snot like it happens all the time.

Q: How many workers work at the Akashi home? What kind of food do they eat? A: 8 workers. His mom made it while she was alive, so pretty normal food. After her death, a hired chef makes amazing food.

Frequently, when he was younger. Only accompanying others, after he got married. Harasawa also goes quite often, but his chat up lines fall flat.

Q. Has Kiyoshi-sempai picked up any new hobbies to replace Hanafuda while he rehabs in the US? (Tokyo/Author H-bayashi S-wako) A. MTG [Magic: The Gathering].

Q. How does Team Strky compare to the high school teams in terms of strength? And if the team members took part in a group date, who would be the most popular? (Tochigi/Deputy-Editor-in-Chief Shimada) A. They’re all from national level powerhouse teams, so they’re on a similar level. We would have to have actual matches to find out exactly. If they took part in a group date, the most popular would end up being Higuchi-kun by the process of elimination.

Q. Teikou basketball club went on a trip overseas, but do they go on school trips overseas too? Also, please tell me where the GoM’ high schools go for their school trips. (Yamagata/Satou) A. No. If that were the case, I would be pissed off. Seirin, Shuutoku -> Nara, Kyoto Kaijou, Touou -> Okinawa Rakuzan, Yousen -> Tokyo It’s only a coincidence that two schools each go to the same place.

Q. Who from Seirin became the most popular after the Winter Cup victory? And did any of them manage to get a girlfriend like Tsucchi? (Kouchi/Shuuhei) A. Kagami attracted the most attention because he stood out the most. They were all fussed over, but no one gained a girlfriend or anything. Furi’s situation is developing.

Q. What was Aomine’s reaction to Horikata Mai-chan getting married? (Akita/Fujiwara) A. He put on a brave face and acted overly cheerful, throwing himself into practice as if to shake off something. Seeing him like that, Momoi thought to herself that things must be seriously bad.

Q. What is your favorite scene from Kuroko no Basuke? Also, what is your favorite episode from the novels? (Fukuoka/Soeda) A. The double page spread from the first volume where Kuroko steals the ball from Kasamatsu. From the novels - “When the Kiseki change into yukata” of volume 3, and its extra episode, “Dai-chan’s Awakening”.

Q. Which KnB character are you the most jealous of? Please tell me why too. (Akita/Rokugou) Kagami. It’s like he has it all.

Q. Has Fujimaki-sensei given you any advice about writing the spin-off? (Tokyo/Sakakibara) I’m terribly sorry, but I’d like to keep that confidential. Not that there’s any significant reason or anything…

As with the school committees masterpost, this one is for the characters and their best subjects, grouped by type of subject for character study, fic reference, and my own amusement.

Again, not all characters with profiles had this category. Seems most of them are best at science, social studies and mathematics types of subjects. And apparently, Akashi and Koganei are polar opposites, ahaha.

Those marked with ** are characters that have more than one best subject listed.

I made a more visual chart based on the Kuroko’s Basketball “players they have their eyes on” from the fanbook that mogumoguKB put together and jcminwell translated, for people who have a hard time putting the name to the face or just like more pictures. It’s messy but you get the idea.

I’ve been compiling a list of school committees and the characters that belong in each of them for the past few days, and I think I’ve caught everyone where this info was available (not all characters with profiles had this category).

I’m sharing it in case anyone wants it for fic reference or whatever. Please feel free to point out if I made any mistakes or if I missed someone, thanks!

Alrighty, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about whether this or that has been translated, so here be a masterpost of “everything” that has been covered so far because I too want to know, haha.

That said, I am positive this isn’t a complete list. There are a few things I’m aware is out there but still need to hunt down the links for (and probably even more that I don’t know of at all). ETA: This is all that I know right now. If it’s not here, then I haven’t seen it. Please check the post before sending me an ask about what’s available. I update this several times a day.

Feel free to drop me stuff I’ve missed and I’ll add it in. I would love help from you guys because I’m only one pair of eyes after all and my dash is often out of control. :P

So just for the fandom… I translated the Teikou timeline.

Teikou period sequence of events

1st year

April - Kuroko, Aomine, Midorima, Murasakibara, Akashi, and Haizaki join the basketball club. - 2 weeks after joining, Aomine, Midorima, Murasakibara, Akashi and Haizaki rise to first string (171Q), Kuroko is at 3rd string. (Vol14 124Q)

? month  - Aomine has been chosen as a starting member (Vol14 124Q)

End of August  - Teikou wins the Nationals.

? month - Kuroko and Aomine meet at the 4th gym. (Vol14, 124Q) - Akashi thinks “I haven’t seen him recently~” pertaining to Aomine shortly before ↓

October - Kuroko fails the promotion test for the 2nd string and thinks about quitting the basketball club. - Kuroko also meets Akashi, Midorima, and Murasakibara; and his talent is discovered by Akashi. 

This year, Midorima, Murasakibara, Akashi and Haizaki compete with Kiyoshi’s school (Shouei middle school) once. (Vol7 55Q — Midorima says “Before Kuroko joins the bench”, Vol11 96Q — Murasakibara and Akashi, 171Q — Kiyoshi has experienced playing against Haizaki)

Around this time, because Teikou is too strong, there is also a lot of animosity. Haizaki becomes one of the reasons why Teikou gained something close to a villainous impression. (171Q)

*** In LA, Kagami who has changed middle schools, reunites with Himuro and wins against him for the first time (Vol9 76Q). Hereafter, they compete every week, and it has become a win-lose cycle.

This is a cover design for the Batman fanfiction 1-800 Gotham by goldfishinabag. It does have multiple POV's but the main one is Tim who has not joined the batfamily... hopefully yet ;)

I've set myself a challange this month to try and do a cover a day and try some different styles. I've been lrovaricating getting a printer because there's so many types and it stresses me out so I'm focusing on the parts of bookbinding I'm loving, so cover design! DAY 27!

This cover took quite a while causse I had a specific image in mind. I wasnted to have a wall of screens and Tim infront of them with his back being the main focus. I really struggled trying to fiind a wall of screens that would work especially as I wanted a slight retro style (even if Tim is a modern techy). I finally found an image on pintrest that I thought would work. I could not find the original artist . I wnt throuh and background erased all of the screens very acrefully on full zoomas I wanted to keep the look and knew just putting ssquares over the screens wouldn't work the way I wanted.

I then went scouring the internet for different images from various comic book panels of the different charcaters involed. I cut them down to the correct size laying them over where I wanted them, duplicated the page , got rid of the tv screens image and started messing with each one, adding a ctv tone for many, different types of static and dirt overlays at various transparencys, diffrent camera and recording borders I had to edit to fit. It was a lot of fun choosing and playing around but it took forever! I then took them one by one back to the previous page and placed them behind so they came through the erased screens, changing, cropping or minimising as needed. I then added in a glitchy title over the main batsignal screen and the authors name with static, shadow and glitchyness in another.

I liked it but wanted to see if it would look more uniform if i added a mostly transparent green tint to the whole image and then added some vhs still scratches aswell. I'm not sure whicch way I like most so let me know any thoughts! You can see the differences below:

I did a plain white background then added a shadow border. On top I took some winow screen elelements and changed them to black and white to put info in and when the size wasn't right, cropped and matched quite a few for what I wanted. Iv'e got the 'May Gotham Protect You.' callsign, a voice line (?), Two of the tags, a qr-code to the fic, a couple of quotes and I also made up some folders with the bats and oracle on.
