As mentioned before with Rio’s route announcement, I'll be translating the route PVs as usual.

Many apologies for the inactiveness and the delay posting about Silvio’s route announcement.

Silvio’s in-app route release page was opened a few days ago on July 19 and the next update is slated for Friday July 29, 4PM JST. I am 99.99% sure that will be the exact moment they’re dropping his route PV.

Yes I’ll be translating his PV, but since his PV will be releasing in the middle of my work hours, I won’t be able to watch his PV until I get home much later that night so my translation may not be as prompt as usual.

I’ll do my best to post the translation within 8 hrs of PV release though so keep an eye out for that :)

After seeing @cauldroncatx attempt to create a realistic version of Ikemen Vampire suitors using ArtBreeder... my friend ask me to give it a try with Ikemen Prince suitors too!

So here it is!

I did my best to try and get it down to the point as possible. Unfortunately, there was quite a huge limitation in terms of hairstyles when it comes to bangs so I couldn't recreate Yves', Licht's, and Nokto's hairstyle as accurately as I hope to... but at least I hopefully managed to nail down their vibe!

For Jin, Clavis, Licht, Nokto, Luke, Sariel, and Rio, I manually edit their eye colors (and beauty marks if any) to match their actual features using ibisPaint X

They ACTUALLY look like themselves haha, whereas my edits are like; "Yeah, you can catch some resemblance, it's there faintly, but only because I wrote down who's who. Plus maybe the eye color, but that's it."

Now I feel like I did a really poor job, even though considering how much I struggled, still? Man, I suck at these resemblance things turns out XD.

On the other hand... At the same time I want to think of my edits are a bit more realistic versions of the princes..? If that's possible?? Like, impossible-but-still-possible that you would see them on the streets one day. As in normal human form. (This doesn't make sense anymore.)

When I made these I imagined how their cosplayers might look cosplaying them so that was the direction I took with my attempt ><

Given that it’s been almost a year since I posted this ask and I’ve been seeing some mentions of questions about the suitors’ ages floating around, I thought I would reblog this with the extra information I got from the newly released routes and events! All the ages and calculations will be put under a cut and, as always, be warned that there are spoilers for this!

The ages of the suitors in game by July 1st (Rhodolite’s Foundation Day, and also when the Act 1 prologue of the game begins). The Act 2 prologue is set about half a month after the Act 1 prologue, in mid–July, so there won’t be much change for the new trio either. Bolded parts are what we know from canon, both explicit and implied, italics are the suitors’ guessed ages:

Hello! Is there an order to read the routes of Ikepri?

Hello Anon! Oh, yes. Absolutely.

I have also pointed this out before in a post I made before the release of ENG ver (here) so I'll copy the bit about the reading order over (but please do check out that post for additional references ^^)

Routes after starters are very very highly recommended to be read in order of release due to how heavily it will be spoiling the previously released route and how The Reveal in the route prior to it links to the subsequent routes.

The order: Act 1 Prologue → Starters → Nokto → Licht → Jin → Luke → Clavis → Act 2 Prologue → Sariel → Rio

Note: Details of Route Availability Status on JP ver can be found in this other post (here)

ー

Nokto route: The first route after starters, in JP it was released just 1.5 months after the app was released. You could say Nokto's route is the one exception to the above order (in terms of completing a route to at least 1 end before starting to next) but please, at the very least, read Yves' Ch 1 (or if possible to Ch 4) before starting Nokto's route since it'll add more depth to his route. Chev's and Leon's common route also adds more depth to Nokto's route as well.

From Licht route onwards, the story gets darker and darker real fast. I am Not Kidding. Please be forewarned.

Additionally, for all routes, True Love (Romantic) End is the true end. Both end clear stories all continues after the True Love End's epilogue. Passionate Love (Dramatic) End is the alternative ending.

Note: Despite what some people might say, regarding "true end" or the lack of for Ikemen Series, that really isn't the case for Ikemen Prince. (For JP ver at the very least). ENG probably changed the ending names to make it the same as the other ENG titles to make it "easier" for western audiences but that Does Not Change the fact that This Is The Case for JP Ver. As I have mentioned earlier, (this may not be obvious for the starters, but for Nokto route onwards they have made it absolutely clear that) both end clear stories all continues after the True Love (Romantic) End's epilogue.

Further more, event stories which continues after the release of routes also continues from the True Love (Romantic) End. It is also to be noted that unlike other titles, IkePri is Very Consistent in its writing and their event stories happens sequentially with references back to prior released contents such as events and even the main route (and happenings from True Love end). The only exception for this is "If Stories" but even with such stories, they are still consistent on the level of an alternate timeline where MC and none of the suitors have yet to become lovers.

However, since the timing of IkePri ENG release doesn't align with IkePri JP, I do not know how the consistency in event stories will be handled on the ENG ver since JP ver has quite numerous seasonal events and various events in between those which directly referred back to those seasonal events that happened before it.

Bottom line for event stories: For events which are Not "If Events", some contain spoilers from main route.

Last words: After playing IkePri ENG for the past few days, I can't say I'm completely amused with all the changes the localization had brought about so I'll be sticking to IkePri JP but I'll be checking out the ENG ver leisurely. I have friends playing both versions so I am caught up to what goes on in ENG to a certain extent. But with IkePri now having multiple versions, do note that I am most well-versed in and more experienced with the original JP version.

Chevalier is not a shitty war strategist

I saw someone say Chevalier is a bad war strategist. It is time I avenge my unconventional husband.

Note that the Ikemen Prince game is not focused on war strategy and that there is probably much more going on under the table. The game is a very romanticized view of life so I will try to make this a bit more believable.

I am modelling their relationship similar to Italy, UK, France + Germany in World War 2. It’s a bit more realistic compared to the ultimately simplified ass version in Ikeprince. (I have too much time on my hands today lol). But the map is almost the same just flipped about 90 degrees clockwise.

The technology is a tad bit demoted compared to in real life WW2. Read more for paragraphs of this…history war stuff I am oddly passionate about :D

Also would like to point out on the thing about Obsidian and Jade a bit. This was expanded on in later routes that aren't available in ENG at the time of this post (Jin's route onwards with more deeds in Clavis' route as well) but majority of people in Obsidian suffers from lack of education, poverty, and famine.

Jade is a country rich in agricultural and natural resources while Obsidian is literally a country full of rocks and ores. Without having to expand further into details here, I think it's already clear why Obsidian can't risk ruining their relation with Jade and turn Jade into their enemies. With their ties to Jade as a neutral for tradings severed, Obsidian would immediately suffer from a cut of food supply.

You can have as many soldiers in an army as you want, but the more people there are, the more food supply are needed to keep them alive.

You can't wage a war with an army that's all dead due to lack of food to keep them alive.
