———       the lobby couch.   a place mia has become so familiar with, a part of her is convinced her tiny frame is imprinted in it. she fits perfectly in that one section she always sits in, a little more and it’ll swallow her up – maybe that’s her plan. or maybe she has no strength to carry herself further in whichever direction – hell if she knows. eyes shut behind shades, she avoids people’s gazes (not to mention the light!) although she feels eyes on her, scorching. between the small intervals of her heart pounding in her head, she hears a click sound, followed by a staff telling someone the young lady isn’t a statue. mia doesn’t care to argue despite inner drawn parallels. another presence, too persistent to ignore, looms over her, she feels.   ‘ is it urgent? i’m… in the middle of photosynthesising. ’

        𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙝𝙞𝙨 invitation to the table, but it was a positive kind of amazement. it somehow felt normal, like that was how it was supposed to be in the first place. however, that didn’t mean that the awkward sensation wasn’t still in the back of her head. nonetheless, she was talking to liam’s brother and she couldn’t be happier. “ you’re right. “ she acknowledged his response and gave a nod.  “  it must’ve been the jet lag, right ? ‘cause i haven’t had the greatest sleep either, despite the beds being heavenly. “ miyoung responded and remained silent for a few moments. the brunette waited for the employee to show up and for moon to order. once he asked her about her ‘poison’,  she requested an omelet with a side salad and a cup of orange juice, the breakfast she would always have no matter where she was. “ what are your plans for the day? “

When thet fist got to Amsterdam, Alec didn’t get to spend much time with Moon, both of them having ended up picking different friends and activities to pass time with but after the second day, the blond had noticed his friend seemed quiet whenever they talked or Moon responded on the groupchat and so, Alec reached out to him. They decided to check the coffee shop nearby and now, here they were, Alec sipping on his expresso as he listened to his friend telling him he had a fight with Ivy. “What do you mean there’s nothing to do? You two clearly need to sit down and talk! And fix things, Moon. You can’t leave it like that. Why did you guys even fight in the first place?” Alec questioned, biting down on lis bottom lip as he heard what Moon said next. “Well, you could’ve come to my room, Moonie. I wasn’t really doing anything. I could tell Ivy seemed upset when I helped them with the bags but I didn’t know what happened. I’m sorry. Should’ve checked on you after that.” Alec said, looking over at Moon, watching him finish rolling up the blunts. “You sure we can’t arrested for this , right?” Alec asked his friend, before taking a quick look around the place, like he fully expected cops to show up anytime.

     a  soft  smile  briefly  showed  up  over  his  lips  as  he  reassured  the  other  “     no,  we  can’t  and  won’t  be  arrested  for  this.  it’s  not  only  legal  here,  we’re  also  inside  the  coffee  shop  that  just  sold  it  to  me  and  everyone  is  having  haxixe  brownies.     “  he  tapped  the  perfectly  rolled  blunt  against  the  wood  of  the  table,  shaking  his  head  “     this  trip  was  supposed  to  be  healing  and  we’re  two  days  in  and  i’m  tired,  broken  and  wishing  to  throw  myself  into  the  river.  right  now  ?  nothing  to  do.     “  his  shoulders  shrink  in  a  small  shrug  before  he  holds  the  stick  between   his  lips  and  lights  it  up  “     to  be  honest  with  you,  i’m  not  sure  what  we  fought  about  either.  it  was  strange  but  heartbreaking  and  i  hated  it.     “  his  eyes,  like  usual,  would  avoid  the  person  who  was  aiding  him  and  he  shrugs  again,  shaking  his  head  “     doesn’t  matter  now.  and  it’s  not  like  i’m  sad  now,  but  it  got  to  me  how  haneul  was  the  only  one  to  reach  out  to  me.  i  knew  isaac  was  busy  with  ivy  but  still.     “  he  shrugs  once  more,  definitely  still  hurt  about  it.

✧        ˖      ・ﾟ       isaac  couldn’t  help  the  way  his  face  scrunched  up  as  the  cold  wet  droplets  hit  his  bare  face  and  torso ,  startling  him  enough  to  pull  him  out  of  the  lulls  of  sleep  that  had  been  dragging  him  under   the  past  coupe  hours . ❝ asshole ❞  the  blonde  muttered  as  he  brought  a  hand  up  to  his  face ,  doing  his  best  to  wipe  the  wetness  away  before  sitting  up  from  the  chair  and  turning  his  body  towards  moon .  ❝ why  the  hell  are  you  still  in  your  pajamas ? ❞  the  question  left  his  lips  the  same  time  a  carol  of  laughter  did , causing  him  to  fall  back  onto  the  lounge  chair  he  had  just  sat  up  from. ❝ i’m  just  trying  to  get  my  body  back  on  some  sort  of  normal  schedule ,  this  jet  lag  shit  is  no  joke . laying  in  my  bed  just  seems  lazy  but  when  i’m  out  here  i  can  say  that  i’m  relaxing  and  no  one  thinks  any  differently . ❞

        𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙤 admit it, she felt awkward. it was strange to be on a trip where most of the people she was travelling with were either strangers or people she has barely talked to. despite knowing moon since she was a child, miyoung felt the same even around him. even if her initial reaction would be to ignore everyone and talk to her closest friends only, she had decided to make an effort and socialize as much as she could. “ mhm? “ hearing someone call her name, she instinctively turned her head in the direction of where the sound had come from. it didn’t take long for her to figure out that he was inviting her to the table. with a friendly smile, she sat down next to him. “ hey, good morning ! did you sleep well ? “ it was more of a mundane question, unaware of what he had experienced the previous night. 

“LYING? Lying about what?” Almost as soon as the words are out of her mouth, she regrets it. Deep down, she knows what she’s been lying to herself about and of only Liam were here to talk to about it. He knew the truth, everything about it, and he would know what to say. As if on cue, her eyes start to water again and dammit she’s so over crying about this and about him. Snatching the napkin from his table, Ivy wipes at day-old makeup and tears before looking at him again. “And that’s not what?” Part of her is begging to hear him finish that sentence, so it can all be out on the table for good. Either this friendship would survive or it’s going to crumble with the rest of them. She opens her mouth to say more but stops, throwing the napkin on the table and grabbing his hand. “Come on.” With a yank, she’s pulling him out of the dining room and into the nearest empty room she can find, which ends up being a storage space with little room between them. She’s nearly in his personal space. “Do you regret having sex with me?” 

Finally checking her phone, aside from the messages to the group chat and the few exchanged with Haneul later that night, no one had messaged her for anything: to check on her, to see if she was still alive, to see where she was. As if they didn’t care at all. Thousands of miles away and it still felt just like home, complete with the judgemental stares from waitstaff and a Yu sibling. The words caught her off guard, she hadn’t expected him to speak to her. The fight last night had been a huge one, it was bound to leave scars. “Until I leave, I guess.” She chugged what was left of the juice and flagged down the server for her order. In choppy Dutch, she ordered what she hoped was a simple egg and toast breakfast before finally looking at him. Her own eyes red and tired from an all-nighter (maybe some tears) and substance abuse is obvious. “There’s no wall, Jamie.” A giant canyon maybe, one false step and they’ll fall endlessly into a dark void.
