I like AUs a whole bunch and I also like canon fics, so whatever takes your fancy! Porn is optional - like, if you would like to put sex in the fic, go for it! Sex is FAB. If that’s not your thing, or you don’t think it fits your story, that is totally cool too.

  Additionally, I really love stories about people learning how to trust and lean on each other, and about people finding and loving themselves, and FOUND FAMILIES OMFG. My very favourite thing in fictional (and non-fictional) relationships is people knowing what is important to each other/how to be good for each other in ways that no one else would know or think important, and what it is that makes those two people work as a one unit couple <3

  Other tropes I love include teacher/student (ha ha ha ha NO FOR SERIOUS THOUGH) and I have a fucking bulletproof weakness for characters seeing other characters crying. Like. It is my actual favourite thing in fiction outside of LADIES GETTING TO BE THEIR OWN PEOPLE. <.<

  OKAY ONTO THE FANDOMS!

Reign: Queen Catherine/Mary Queen of Scots, Mary Queen of Scots/Kenna, Queen Catherine/Kenna

  At the time of writing, I have only seen through 1x13 so I can’t say what I might want in terms of whole season plot involvement, but NEVER FEAR I will definitely have seen the whole season by the time fics are due so please don’t worry about spoilers! I didn’t expect to love Reign quite as much as I do but GOD I have fallen for it hard. ALL THE WOMEN ARE SO FREAKING AMAZING? My favourite lady/lady dynamic is Mary/Catherine, because I am nothing if not predictable, but that is not to say that I don’t love EVERYONE/EVERYONE. Honestly, anything you would like to explore about this show and these ladies is something I would LOVE to read.

  It really interests me how Mary and her ladies are genuinely friends and care about each other but also are constantly aware of the power differentials between them - and this I guess is the theme running through all the pairing choices here. Like, all these women are so powerful in their own rights and ways and come together in so many interesting variations to Get Shit Done. PLUS THEY ALWAYS LOOK STUNNING? So many options! Does someone find someone crying somewhere in the castle? Maybe there is an event coming up and they need to discuss protocol or clothes? IS THERE SOME ~~~INTRIGUE~~~ HAPPENING SOMEWHERE (probably I mean this is Reign after all). ARE THEY JUST BANGING SOMEWHERE THEY MIGHT GET CAUGHT? ARE THEY JUST BANGING BECAUSE THEY WANT TO? WHO KNOWS :D I’d honestly love anything in the Reign ‘verse <3

  OH also what I am also really enjoying about Reign is the costuming. That might not sound strictly relevant to what I would like to see in a fic but HEAR ME OUT. Like, the costumes reflect the setting vaguely but always in a way that’s readable as attractive (or whatever the aim of the costume is) to a modern audience. I LOVE THAT. Like, Mary’s wedding dress with the cut out top piece under the lace? PERF. The show works like that as a whole - like, the soundtrack is F L A W L E S S - and I think it might be cool to see something like in fic? IDK.

I would prefer just one of those pairings in the fic you write (however you interpret the relationship) but I honestly don't mind which! 

Dracula: Mina/Lucy, Mina/Lady Jane, Lucy/Lady Jane

  Sweet Jeeeeeesus, how I love this show. Like, I love it so much I have lost the ability to be objective about it in literally any way. I think objectively it might qualitatively not actually be good? BUT ALSO I THINK OBJECTIVELY IT IS PERFECT SO THERE WE ARE. It does so many things that I love that I got a bit confused. Between this and Penny Dreadful, it’s been a GOOD YEAR to love trash Victoriana supernatural stories omg. Like I was just saying about Reign, Dracula works with its period setting but also the narrative/visual/relationship expectations of a modern audience - so, like, Mina kisses Jonathan in the street and no one around minds (HORRORS!!) but it works because it’s such a dramatic and emotional narrative beat.

  And godddd am I a sucker for Victoriana. LET’S TALK ABOUT HOW TIPPING THE VELVET IS ESSENTIALLY MY FAVOURITE THING. Anyway, the romantic friendship/~friendship~ potential for Mina/Lucy is bulletproof to me omfg and god, just, all the relationship options here work with very much the same potential dynamic - these are ladies that know what they want even if they might not know how to get it, but none of them have any qualms about GOING FOR IT.

Penny Dreadful: Mina/Vanessa

  sjkdfhkjg PENNY FUCKING DREADFUL. VICTORIANA SUPERNATURAL LET ME LOVE YOU DOWN. Can we just take a minute to appreciate how glooorious Eva Green is in this show? Jeeesus Christ. OKAY GETTING IT TOGETHER. Things I love about this show is how self-aware it is and how it just does not shy away from any trope - it finds them and goes for them and somehow avoids seeming, idk, like a knock-off of any of them? Vanessa’s absolute dedication to Mina is so interesting, especially how much her guilt plays into that and how much her interest in Mina’s family plays into it too, and, just - VANESSA. She’s so fascinating. And what makes Mina go for Dracula? Does she feel similar to Vanessa? HAS something happened between them that the show isn’t telling us? DID THEY MAKE OUT?? (I am still holding out for that reveal on the show, tbh, but there we are). Vanessa’s relationship with EVERYONE is so interesting to me - like, what the fuck is even going on with her and Sir Malcolm (WE JUST DON’T KNOW) and her friendship with Ethan  “What No I’m Not A Werewolf (Totally a Werewolf)” Chandler is so cool, like, they are Bros and that is so refreshing. IDK I have got a bit off my point here but MY POINT IS this world is a bit no holds barred and Vanessa (and Vanessa/Mina) is such a tangled web of a thing to explore so… *_* PENNY FUCKING DREADFUL.

Once Upon a Time: Emma/Regina

  Okay, I have to admit that I now mostly consume this show through gifs and fic. It is one of only two shows I have ever quit watching because there is just no way it is going to make my OTP canon and I couldn’t deal (the other one was House, if you’re interested, but turns out AGAINST ALL ODDS I SORT OF GOT MY SHIP CANON IN THE END). I LOVE AUs in this fandom, like, there are so many possibilities to take the Emma/Regina in so many different directions - how does the lack of magic translate into the same power dynamic in a different universe? How would magic work if another thing was different? *_*

  Mostly, though, I just love Emma/Regina because of the endless potential for them to work together and change together and match each other as people. They’re both so stubborn and so demanding and uncompromising. They hold the same things dear but somehow it keeps leading them to different sides - what if it didn’t? What would a slow relationship look like between them? OR HELL, IDK, WHAT IF THEY JUST MADE OUT IN THE TOWN HALL.

  I ADORE Mayor Regina and would prefer something set in Storybrooke rather than the fairytale world but if that pings weirdly to you, fairytale it up! I LOVE fairytales. GO FOR IT. I am super super behind on this show but I am not averse at all to spoilers so whatever you would like to include, please do! I am catching up on s3 rn and plan to pick s4 up again when it starts airing so honestly, no problems there.
