Hello all,

I'm looking for HR fic recs. I love:

- Happy endings but with lots of (non-corny) angst. I'm not into YA novel type angst.

- Slow burns OR

- Episode inserts --- I would LOVE recs for some good introspection episode inserts

- TV show portrayal of Shane rather than book version

Nice to haves:

- I love me some Hayden and/or Svetlana

- Ilya jealous of Rose (love her too -- I do NOT like Miles)

I've read The Long Game as well so can be book spoiled.

Lando really, really likes her. You might not, but he does. Get over it 🙄

So I'm going to continue to watch straight men squealing over Shane/Ilya romance for a little while longer because it's healing my soul a bit.

I started drafting Chapter 7 of Driftling Light! I always draft a chapter ahead of the one I'm posting to ensure I don't bite myself in the behind with some innocent thing I wrote in the earlier chapter. I may have also randomly worked on a WIP I started months ago. It's been fun but I won't post anything until Drifting Light or Something Like Familiar is finished.

Prompt:

It amazes me how little fic there is of these drivers grinding and humping their cars/trophies/each other.

Maybe it's superstition for a team or teams to have their drivers cum on the car before the season starts, so the drivers are made to straddle the nose and hold onto the halo and grind until they cum. Maybe it takes some drivers hours and the team has to tie their hands to the halo to make sure they dont leave until they're done.

SUMMARY: On the night before his first race, Lando discovers an old F1 driver superstition when Carlos leads him through a private, intimate ritual in the quiet garage. The experience leaves Lando changed and feeling truly part of the world he’s entered.

It's good to discuss F1 with people you know offline because you realise people do not react and speak like the crazies of the internet 😂 Spent all day discussing F1 with a pro-Verstappen friend and it's all very civil. So while my children have their screen time, I am writing a bit more of Something Like Familiar because my last update got me really into that story (just worked on the outline of chapter 6 and started the draft) but I think I'm going to soon switch to Drifting Light. Not going to lie, I need to reread the entire thing because it's been so long. I think I'm at least a chapter ahead (draft not edited at all) on Drifting Light.
