Week or so ago my art therapist whipped out a rock i never got to finish painting from like last year so i decided to turn it into the teeny tiny lovebug himself :3

i like 2 draw hoodude during the group art therapy sessions i go to (ended up drawing so many hoodudes during 1 on 1 art therapy the art therapist had to get me 2 stop drawing him every sesion ;w;)

Okay been working on this on and off for a few days + got to see my art therapist yesterday and she helped out with a few ideas so wahoo!! Possibly going with Bruno (French dub name) and Dolliver (doll + Oliver) as a new name for Hoodude! Turns out I didn't need to change his design much anyway. Also Poppy is here bc I like drawing the silly siblings AND it's her 2nd birthday (August 22nd is the day I finalised her design 2 years ago so that makes it her birthday!)
Srry its a sloppy coloured sketch, but I like the poses here so I may line this properly later and make it a cuter drawing 🩷
Below the cut is more thoughts I have regarding backstory stuff, my inspiration for possible new backstory stuff, and a lil collage thing of the elements I reused from old designs to make this new one!
OK I'm done crashing out and feeling sad over fictional characters I'm a problem solver and problems I Will Solve. I'll do better going forward. Srry these are the most barebone shitty sketches I'll ever share here, I just wanted to get the bare minimum concept ideas down before wasting energy on designing. So far 2 ideas is making hoodude (now most likely naming him bruno, after his French dub name) a ragdoll or poppet, OR a living plush with rabbit elements based off the velveteen rabbit because I recently discovered that story and it made me think of him.
Forgot to write it in the image itself but I think it'll be neat if bruno is made from old abandoned plushies who were once loved. I think it'll be nice 2 tie into how sweet and kind and loving he is. To be loved is to be changed, and I love him enough to finally realize he needs this change
Also bonus various bruno designs from 2024 below the cut(?) Don't get ur hopes up they're all awful unfinished sketches and I HATE posting unfinished works but i'm adding them here bc i could re use parts 4 this new bruno!
