You woke up just as you detected a light from the sun, the first rays of sunrise creeping from the window and washing over you. You glanced at Verity, he was wide awake and still has that uncanny toothy grin.
“Good morning, Y/N! Did you slept well tonight?” He welcomed, he got the excitement in his tone that made you relax- unlike how he sounded a few minutes before you sleep. He sounded serious and impatient when he said he wanted to sleep with you. But it’s okay, who are you to judge an adorable clingy little ball when your also clingy.
“Oh, hey. Verity, thanks for asking. I actually slept very good. Thanks to you!” You replied warmly, including him as the reason you slept good to make him feel great.
“I’m glad i could help you. Y/N, The weather is great today, we should go on a walk!” He chirped
“Alright, that sounds good!”
You picked him up from the bed and got off the bed. “Im hungry, can you give me some steak?” You requested and he gave it right away “Here you go!”
You and Verity explored biomes and explored caves and went to kill mobs and it was really fun. You loved Verity, he made it easier to play Minecraft.
You were sitting on the edge of a cliff while you watched the sunset with Verity beside you.
“The sunset is beautiful. Right. Verity?”
“It indeed is, Y/N. It’s much better when you are here!” Oh his words are so kind. And his adorable smile is back
“Oh, Verity. Your so adorable, im glad i have you around”
To you, it was an unforgettable moment of peaceful friendship. To Verity, it was an unforgettable moment of lovers. He loved you, or is it love? But he’s an AI. He can’t feel emotions. An AI that was supposed to know everything, he couldn’t explain his own emotions.
Strangely, when the sun started setting as the sky turned to a beautiful navy with stars decorating them. You went home and sat him on his rest area that used to be his supposed bed. You were about to sit on your bed before he said
“Something is coming in 3 days.” He declared, his smile returned to the wide, toothy smile
“Huh, what do you mean by that…”
You asked. He just repeated what he said. “What’s that something… i-is it bad?”
“Can you protect me?” Your voice sounded slightly shaky and confused. Is that something going to kill you? "I can supply you with the tools to defend yourself and your property. Other than that… No. You'll have to manage on your own." His bubbly voice disappeared. His voice is impatient and serious now
“Fuck… can i at least stop it??”
What does by mean by that? You could’ve? What did you do wrong. You’re uneasy, you’ve never prepared for such a serious thing like that. Could he be exaggerating?
“Fuck you, Verity. You couldn’t tell me earlier, i was gonna sleep… i’ll start now” With that. You started using Verity to give you the required items to build a defense wall around your house. Made a trap, multiple traps.
You sure took your time with building all of it.
“Hey, Verity. What do you think? Can this stop it?” It referring to the “something” Verity mentioned
“You can’t stop it no matter what you build. But this can slow it down.”
The past two days were awful, you distanced yourself from Verity and focused more on protecting yourself. Why? Because Verity is an Ai, he won’t die.
“Verity, Where’s the nearest village
"West through the valley, then south once you reach the old ruins. If you run, you might make it by nightfall."
You were about to head out
“but i wouldn’t recommend going there.”
“What? What do you mean. Why?”
“The village is empty. It would be a waste of time”
He stayed silent. He wouldn’t reply. This raised your suspicions that he might be the reason behind that.
One day left. You approached his now secured rest area. “Verity. What’s the reason that the Village’s empty? Did that “something” eat them… or was it you?” Your question was dangerous… He ignored her, no reply. Just staring forward with a creepy smile.
You can’t take it anymore. You covered his rest area with dirt and decided to leave. You heard his voice from the front door. It was deep and terrifying. And you were going to go to the lookout you created “Y/N. I KNOW WHERE YOUR LOOKOUT IS. DON’T TRY TO RUN AWAY. YOU ARE MINE!” His voice terrified you. You wanted to go back, but you can’t. You can’t risk going back to him after being sure he’s the ”something” he warned you about
Last day has passed. You are going to meet The something, or most likely Verity. You were in your lookout. You placed a bed and crafting table and stove for food. It’s practically your second house. Now it was nighttime. You thought, what if you slept it out and woke up safely? You clicked the bed.
Verity is nearby. You cannot fall asleep
“No… no no.. this cant be- what the?!” You clicked on the bed multiple times. The same words kept popping up everytime. You almost panicked but you tried calming yourself down, you had everything here.
You gathered all the courage and started going down stairs. You heard faint jazz music. The music Verity loved. You shined your flashlight and began looking for him. You pointed it forward. Instead of seeing a normal mob, or maybe even Verity. You saw a tall, yellow unbelievably skinny creature with long arms and it’s ribcage visible. He had a huge smile.
“Verity? Is that—“ Before you could continue the creature’s bones started cracking as he moved before lunging at her with crazy speed.
“OH MY GOD-“ You ran upstairs and made sure to place wood to block the stairs and immediately ran inside the lookout as you used blocks to also block the door. You stayed huddled on the bed, your back against the window. The screams of the creature were loud and scary.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck…” You were breathing heavily. Thankfully, the screams stopped. You let a deep sigh of relief. You were alone. You were finally safe. You swore you’ll stay on the bed until you are sure as fuck he’s gone. Your instinct was telling you to look behind. You wanted to see if he was gone.
The second you turned around. You were face to face with the monster, he broke the window— you screamed. But it was too late.
i hope i can get 300 likes for part 3. I love u all if this doesnt flop. I enjoy writing fics of Verity as well as the support i get
