Monroe promptly drops the phone, and rushes to the nearest bathroom.

Monroe: Yes? :)

Monroe blushes: 127 Berlinstrasse. Room 719.

Monroe smiles: In a hotel room. Alone for the night.

Monroe: In that case, you'd be as... messy as I am now. I wish you could have come with me too. I think you'd love the city.

Monroe chuckled, the remaining dregs of unease melting away: Good evening to you too, Mr Darcy. I hope I have not caused you too much agony.

Monroe is covered in paint. His dress will never be the same. They had told him that they intended to make a splash; this was not what he expected. The red was symbolic of the spilled blood that would result of the Ministry's changes. But to Monroe, it might as well have been the real thing. He had left promptly, and returned for a bath, food, and time to relax. He missed the call when in the shower. His heart had all but stopped when he spied the flashing beacon of a message. He hastily dialed, and awaited an answer:

Monroe waits for a call back that never comes. It has been a Sunday though. Sundays were traditionally busy. It's with a smile still plastered on his lips that he leaves another message: Good morning. I shall keep this brief. Today we are occupying the street outside the German ministry. It should, at least, get their attention. Merlin knows we need that. I won't keep you. I look forward to hearing from you. Goodbye.

Monroe calls at 7am. He forgets it is much earlier in England until he reaches Draco's voicemail. Still, he's made his call now. He is abuzz with energy, and desperately wants to share: Guten morgen, mein liebling. I am ardently sorry I called you at such an inhumane hour. I forget I am many hours ahead of you. Today is a busy day, and-- Oh, Greta! Ja. Hans est atrio. Mmhmm-- Sorry, again. Things are so busy here in the morning. I am staying with another pair of lycanthropes. They speak no English, and I speak no German, so we've resorted to adesperate pigeon of Latin and Bulgarian. I like them. Greta is so sweet, and Hans... I must admit... there is a thrill to be had being so close to an /alpha/ wolf! Hans is wonderful. They both are. [Monroe closes the door, his voice dropping to an intimate murmur] But I miss you If absence makes the heart grow fonder, I can only surmise I have been gone for eternity. I miss you too much for only a few days. Call me when you get this. I'm afraid I've rambled in to your voicemail for far too long. And have a good day, Darcy. [He hangs up, brings his phone to his lips, and smiles softly]
