âAh, well you know us collectors! Always trying to get more of a collectionâŠâ
Itâs a lie, but he knows anything else would just raise more questions. He should really get that PC System set up properly so he deposit someâŠ
Hiroshiâs eyes hold a spark of joy at Scoutâs interest.
âYou like dragon-types too?â Affinity they may not be for him, but he does have a soft spot for his little reptilian friends! With a nod and a quick fumbling through the different capsules (thankful Scout didnât comment further on how many he had), Hiroshi presses a button on one to enlarge it before tossing it up to release the creature inside.
Itâs⊠a Dragonite! Quite a chipper looking one too, as it lands delicately between the two of them and looks to Hiroshi expectantly.
âThis is Tsuruno!â His hand pats its arm like one would test the acoustics of a dog, though the Dragonite takes this with pride. âSheâs one of my oldest companions! Absolute sweetheart too~ I think she likes you!â
(Sure enough, itâs looking to Scout now with its tail wagging. Scout passes the impromptu vibe check.)
his  eyes  seem  to  light  up  at  the  sight  of  the  dragon  â  because  (  oh,  wow  )  the  dragonite  is  quite  the  majestic  pokemon  to  behold  indeed.  perhaps  thereâs  a  bit  of  BIAS  at  play  there,  but  in  all  fairness,  it  certainly  wasnât  a  species  one  had  the  opportunity  to  see  every  day.
â  oh,  so  cool!  â    scout  practically  bounces  in  place.    â  sheâs  AMAZING!  i  betcha  take  real  good  care  of  her,  too!  i  can  totally  tell!  â    it  was  always  so  interesting  to  meet  people  with  dragon  types  of  their  own  â  especially  those  who  managed  to  reach  the  pinnacle  of  their  speciesâ  strength.  usually,  evolving  them  took  no  SHORTAGE  of  time  and  effort  (  dragon  types  were  tough,  but  needed  a  lot  of  love,  too  )  yet  that  only  made  it  all  the  more  special  when  they  did.  the  mark  of  an  excellent  trainer,  no  doubt.
â  my  family  raises  DRAGON  types.  itâs  kinda  our  thing,  yâknow?  â    well.  he  had  a  new  family  now,  technically  â  but  whatever.    â  noibat, bagon, deino,  gible . . .  we  hatched  aaall  kinds  of  little  guys.  oh,  dratini,  too!  only  a  few  of  those  at  a  time,  though  â  theyâre  real  fragile  when  theyâre  small  like  that, so you gotta take extra special care of âem.  â
