Sou: That’s because all the members except me use short sentences. So I changed it to fit in. Shori: The change is too sudden! I became worried because your writing was too different (laughing). It’s that we still have a lot to learn (from our seniors). Marius: I’m not particularly good at that. In Johnny’s Junior everyone is better at dancing than me. I want to do my best as well. Shori: The youngest one in Arashi is Matsumoto Jun but now on behalf of the group he is producing their concerts. Summer Paradise Solo concert: “Sato Shori summer Live 2017 ~VIC’s sTORY~”

This year, the title of my live concert has a subtitle for the first time! „VIC“ is the abbreviation of VICTORY, which is my nickname in the English-speaking world. Since a few years ago it was given to me by an acquaintance and I always use it when I go abroad so to me it’s familiar but my fans might be surprised, right? You must be surprised!… All jokes aside (laughing), „VIC’s sTORY“ actually means „Shori’s story“. The lower case „s s“ letters are my Sato Shori initials. The concert’s theme will be like my subtitle says, about my story. I thought „Can I make a movie of my life?“ and got a little bit carried away by my thoughts (laughing). Well, first of all let’s try showing that in a concert! And from that on steadily expand these ideas. This year there will be more of a band feeling and I plan on having a stronger stage presence than before. Of course I will also play the guitar. Now the set list is settled and our preparatory meetings are almost over but I couldn’t write the lyrics of my new songs yet (laughing). No, the first one, I could do it. I mean, I wrote it in about two days. Usually I take 3-4 days to write so I thought this was fast! But the second one I couldn’t write at all and now it has already been three weeks. I was trying to write playful lyrics so I’m struggling hard to get to my earnest roots (laughing). But it’s very exciting to create such a stage from the beginning. I want to absorb many things this summer for my solo concert so I can bring it back to Sexy Zone!

To Shori from Sou: Because I think Shori has a strong image of going an easy road in Johnny’s, somehow I want to see Shori destroy that and blow us away. For example, like Kento-kun’s loveholic aura, doing really sweet songs with cheesy lines, I expect Shori to come at us with a punch! (laughing).

But didn’t you try to become better than before? Our interactions in private have increased. Shori: Recently that’s true. We went to a Coldplay concert together. Sou: Shori had the tickets and invited me. Shori: Coldplay are really at the forefront of the music scene, right? That’s why I thought „I have to see them“ and got tickets… After waiting for so long, I wanted to go see it with someone so I invited Sou. Sou: Even for Johnny’s concerts, I will only go see the artists that I really like. I went to the Coldplay concert to study it but it was really fun! I could really see and feel how a foreign artist creates a concert. Shori: If that’s the case then I’m glad. I was just dancing the whole time. Sou: He was really dancing the whole time!? He was in high spirits while yelling „Yaay!“. Shori’s appearance back then was bursting with energy, it was so precious. Shori: Really? (laughing) Sou: Also another time, let’s go for a meal. Shori: Of course! I’m a person who won’t eat food except the food that I want to eat. So when we talk about „What do you want to eat?“, I’ll never say „Anything is good“. When I say „Today I feel like sushi“, I won’t eat anything else but sushi. I’m lucky because Sou always accommodates himself to my plans. Sato Shori’s Room

It’s my first own room! It’s pretty wide, the walls are white, the curtains are yellow-green. The carpet is black, made out of soft and fuzzy raised nap! Rather than adding something else now, I want to get rid of some clothes and things.

Because my interior doesn’t have a particular style, my room is very simple. Overall I would say it has a brown-colour theme but it’s not dark at all, it feels bright. I have two guitars standing on guitar stands… Well, it’s a typical guy’s room. When I’m in my room I can’t move from my bed (laughing). I sleep on it, I use it as a sofa and I sit on it. Since I put my guitars close I can take them whenever I want, so I practice on my bed and think about what I can play, also I connect it to my computer so I can record it… I really do anything on my bed! What I often do there as well is to watch movies on my smartphone. Like in a kotatsu, I like to have everything within my reach.

A while ago I got a bigger TV for my room. My previous one was 42 inches and it was hard to see from my bed, so now I got one close to 50 that I can see better. Anyways, me doing everything on my bed, it’s becoming a standard (laughing). Besides that, my new TV can record three programmes simultaneously! That’s why recently I’m watching a lot of TV. During that time, my pet parakeet sits on my shoulder together with me! It’s super cute♡ He’s quite close to me and my family, so he won’t leave. Even when I get home, he seems like he can tell when I’m about to open the door so he comes flying to me.

I got my own room for the first time when I was in middle school. But until then I went to play in my siblings’ room and even when someone entered arbitrarily I wasn’t angry, so I didn’t have any particular complaints. In truth I never even rearranged my room since then. After all, I left both the bed and the TV in their place, I cannot change them! There is a dream room I’m yearning for though, it should have a stylish shower room and a pool attached to it… well, this dream is too big (laughing). I often hang out at Tottsu’s (Totsuka Shota) place. The atmosphere is similar to my own room with a guitar placed there but it’s artsy! It feels exciting and pleasant. Also Fuma-kun’s room is very stylish~!
