And hehehe welcome to the pain of shipping wolfstar. 😈 So, I haven’t actually read much wolfstar fanfic lately and I’m probably woefully ill read in the classics (I feel like I say this every time someone asks me for a rec for anything but I tend to spend all my free time writing, I’m sorry 😭), but I know there are so many talented wolfstar writers out there!! Off the top of my head, @blitheringmcgonagall writes fantastic wolfstar, both canon and AU and @aeridi0nis has some gorgeous-looking wolfstar fics that I haven’t had a chance to read yet but are at the top of my list once I’m back in fanfic reading mode (I can’t seem to consistently read and write at the same time alas).

“Text Talk” by merlywhirls was the first wolfstar AU I ever read (back in like…2015 I think?) so I remember it fondly for that reason, but I haven’t actually read it since then so I don’t really remember much other than it being adorable. 😂

Oh, also I think The Shoebox Project is another big one? I have to shamefully admit this is yet another classic I haven’t read, but I see it rec’d a lot!

Someone needs to make a Marauders Era Classics syllabus for me to study. Commentarius, TLAT, The Shoebox Project…what other classics have I missed out on as a very delinquent marauders fan?? 😂

like, holy fuck??? dude🥺🥺 the amount of wolfstar fanfic i read atm (it’s kinda my bugbear) is insane and to be tagged in a post discussing this??? i am so shook. for anyone following me who likes wolfstar, i would thoroughly recommend @aeridi0nis. i’ve read most of their works on ao3 and they are AMAZING. (is it weird for me to list all the ones i’ve read? probably, but gonna do it anyway, screw social customs)

angel, islington is a wonderful character of study of sirius pining after remus in the summer. beautifully descriptive, covering all manner of things from underground hookups, heatwave london, and remus’ jawline(!)

for your pleasure, meanwhile, is the perfect mix of hilarious schoolboy antics and genuine heartrending jealousy - it’s typical bi/homosexual sirius awakening. i love it.

playing on, insane hurts my soul in all the right ways. lie low at lupin’s done devastatingly right.

jimmy’s party: why is it so fucking funny yet so fucking painful! argh! in essence and without spoiling anything, remus gets drunk at a party and mopes.

the hare and the hound technically isn’t wolfstar, but offers a fantastic character study into remus as a young child shortly after he was turned. if you, like me, are a remus stan, this will break your heart.

and, my personal favourite, of witness testimony, the build up to the prank told from peter’s pov. fucking sublime, actually took my breath away. gave me chills. still haven’t recovered.
